Common Questions and Answers about Weight loss using treadmill

weight

Avatar n tn when you loose weight quickly it is also easier to gain weight again, i really recommend you to take your time loosing weight like 4 months or more? because you start to understand what food effects your body and learn to control your cravings. not only that but loosing 10kg as quick as around 2 months with eating healthy is quite impossible.
Avatar f tn 30 yrs, 6 '1", nearly 230 lbs and works 12 hours a day. Weight loss is extremely difficult for him as I cannot make him go on a diet or exercise which may zap his energy. I am afraid he is becoming obese. It is very difficult to make him walk everyday and he eats reasonably less for a man of his weight. In the morning he does with a bowl of cereals and the afternoon something veggie from his work place. He eats non-veg twice-thrice a week. What is a diet that can be effective?

Avatar n tn http://www.medhelp.org/posts/Weight-Loss--Dieting/Weight-Loss-Challenge-2015/show/2421436 Along with your exercise bike and treadmill (iPod or MP3 player helps keep it from getting so boring), check out YouTube for a wide variety of exercises you can do all for free. There are a lot of dance exercises, walk in place with Leslie Sansome, yoga - all you have to do is google exercise videos and you can come up with all kinds of them that you can switch up your routine with.
Avatar n tn Exercise is a way of life that brings your body to good health while losing weight or mantaining weight. 1-2 lbs is a reasonable weight loss goal per week not much more. Remember 1 lbs of fat is 3500 calories so you will have to burn that much calories in order to lose just 1 lb of fat. Be patient is it happens slowly.
233622 tn?1279334905 Totally agree with Heather. I don't really do "diets" and I most definitely won't use a pill. There are 2 parts to losing weight ~ eating sensibly and exercise. I did WW 15 years ago. My sister did Jenny Craig. We both lost weight ~ she had a very drastic weight loss, I didn't. I believe the difference was that on the WW program, they teach you more "how" to eat and learning good choices along with portion control.
Avatar f tn Also keep a track of calorie intake and your work out. At the gym you can begin with light work such as using a treadmill or a cross-trainer. Gradually you may increase the work load. Best results can be obtained with rotating between various activities. You may seek professional help of a dietician or a trainer for the same. Hope this helps. Take care!
Avatar m tn Its the treadmill stuff that *****. What other things on the treadmill i can do?
Avatar f tn Could some of the loss you experienced be water? The doc I went to said that can happen. Good luck on your weight loss journey and I hope I can be as fortunate.
Avatar n tn I have been eating healthy, lots of veggies, and limiting my calories to about 1200 per day. I do a weight loss routine on my treadmill for 30 minutes per day burning @200 calories at least 4-5 times per week. I weigh 173 pounds, which is up 3 pounds from when I started. My PCP felt my Prozac, which I take for chronis pain, may be the culprit, but I was weaned off of it about 3 weeks ago.
Avatar f tn Hi, I'm 25 year old female, i'm obese. I always have been since about the age of 10. I joined a gym in april/may. Since the start I have had a personal trainer whom I see twice a week. I also workout on my own mostly twice a week, so I go 4 times a week, sometimes 3 but mainly 4-5. I do 25 mins on the cross trainer and 20 mins on the treadmill. I then do weights and work on core stability. With my personal trainer I do pads (boxing) and again alot of training on core stability.
Avatar n tn I have returned to the treadmill, is it enough to lose weight and tone up.
5014680 tn?1364331022 your body fights to stay at or above a certain weight. When you drop below this weight, your body fights this by cutting corners in activities (less twitching and subconscious movement throughout the day), thus reducing your total caloric expenditure. Adding physical activity and exercise forces your body to move and keeps it from cutting these corners.
1434731 tn?1382722384 I have PCOS and currently take Metformin, Provera (days 1-14 of each Month) I have Atypia Endometrial Hyperplasia (pre cancerous) My treatment plan is those drugs and weight loss. It is very important that I loose this weight because this pre cancerous condition is reversable!!!!!!!!!!!! I am just stuck in a rut and don't know what to do about it. I did low carb high protein diet 10 years ago and lost 56 lbs....I need to do this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1285110 tn?1420147378 Yes, the WiiFit is an excellent tool for losing weight. I do have a treadmill and actually really like it -- I put in my ear buds and crank up my MP3 player, which is loaded with my favorite music. I also love walking in the streets and have been doing that (3-6 miles/day) for the past 3 months, with my "winter neighbor". She's now gone back to her home state and I'm no longer walking every day, because my hubby doesn't think it's safe to do so alone.
Brachiosaurus The science is confusing the body.. that confusing forces the change in weight loss..
Avatar n tn I'm a healthy, 28 year old woman. 5'6", 200 lb. (I say healthy because I have no health problems, not because I think I'm at a healthy weight...I know I'm not.) I have been using MedHelp to track my calories and exercise. I've reduced calories to 1500, getting most through lean protein, whole grains, fruits and veggies, and nuts and seeds.
