Yes .. it is what the doctor has said all along .. what you eat minus exercise burned equals what you weigh. Of note .. that may be of interest to the community .. is the National Weight Control Registry. Anyone who has lost at least 30 lbs and kept them off for at least a year is eligible to participate. Thanks for the reminder that ordinary, everyday people CAN BELIEVE and ACHIEVE their DREAMS!

The problem is, the high fat/sugar/sodium and empty calories in junk food can also leave you feeling hungry and energy-sapped. Aiming for higher protein may help with energy and feeling full, as well as high fiber and complex carbohydrates, like Barb pointed out. Your calories are pretty low. Are these your net calories or overall calories?

Avatar f tn My strength training is 3x per week and my routine is 1 rep at the maximum weight with perfect form then 12 reps. at a lighter weight then 25 reps. lighter. this is done on machines so the only rest is when I place the pin in the next weight class. I then rest for 90 seconds and repeat this 2 more times. As for the cardio I use a heart rate momitor.
Avatar f tn It is all a matter of what you enjoy doing and eating rather than pushing yourself too hard to do things and eat food that you do not enjoy. The more you enjoy a certain activity, one that may lead you to weight loss, the more you will see yourself sticking to this program and seeing great results. You’ll just have to find an activity and a program that you think you’ll enjoy.

Avatar f tn Yes please talk to your dr, there are many things that could cause rapid or excessive weight loss and some of them can be serious. In addition to Thyroid and GI testing maybe ask about diabetes. It seems odd, but it can cause weight loss.
