1135321 tn?1260517006 I had originally signed up for the food diary, etc, but we now have one here on med help and as I find it hard to keep one diary, journal, etc updated, I certainly do not have to handle 2 of them; therefore, I will stick with the one here on med help. You might also check out the other trackers - there are a lot of them that might be useful.
584024 tn?1218208863 Thanks for the suggestion. We've had a lot of requests from our member for a food tracker. It's definitely on our list of to-do's. We'll let you know when it's available.
10947 tn?1281404252 Want to add a mental note or before-and-after shots? You can add a journal associated with your weight tracker as a diary of your thoughts and as a collection of your photos. You can also view your friend's public weight trackers and give them support by leaving them a note on their tracker page. You can access the Weight Tracker by clicking on the "Trackers" link at the top of the community, or on the "Trackers" tab on My MedHelp.
Avatar n tn Its more likely to be the lack of sleep than the weight loss- but you could maybe get your blood sugars checked out- as early diabetes can cause the feelings you described... 13lb in 3 weeks is a lot to lose though - normally you would expect 3-5 the first week when your body gets rid of excess fluids and then 1-2lb a week so 9lb is the max you should really be seeing come off in the first 3 weeks. Are you eating a balanced diet and drinking enough fluid as you are exercising too.

Avatar n tn over the past 4 yrs he has lost a considerable ammount of weight and the doctors have said he is under weight for his height so was wondering how he could gain weight being on a dairy free diet, i have been looking on the net all morning to no avail please help if you can.
Avatar f tn At the moment I weigh 117lbs and my bmi is 19.48 I am 5ft 4.5 tall. The majority of this weight loss has occurred around the time I was ill and has continued after (another post: http://www.medhelp.org/posts/Urology/Bladder-infection-and-ultrasound/show/1940827). The only new symptom I have is that I have trouble sleeping (getting to sleep and then waking in the early hours unable to return to sleep).
Avatar f tn Thanks for your post! I think you have recognized one of the best things about a food diary - not only does it make you record what you eat, but ideally you are recording how much you are having. It sounds like you have a balanced diet, but you just want to make sure that you aren't having too much of it! I think it's great that you are setting aside a little time to get some exercise.
1567718 tn?1295427820 i am very conscious of what i eat, i have been basically eating salads every day for lunch the past two months,to try help with weight loss. but i picked up three kgs. i am just at my wits end.
962905 tn?1247147215 What are the best choices when it comes to fruits for weight loss? The healthiest options will be the lower calorie, low carb fruits, although even higher calorie fruits such as the banana are a far better alternative than most snacks found in a vending machine. One of the best fruit choices is the apple. Apples are not only low in calories and relatively low in carbs, they're also high in pectin, a natural ingredient similar to fiber, which helps to promote satiety.

Avatar f tn t have hypothyroidism. You might also want to get tested for insulin resistance and PCOS, which also make weight loss very difficult to impossible.
Avatar f tn You've made a great start by cutting back some of the junk & you are doing great on the exercise. You are probably building up muscle from the running. Muscle weighs a lot & will make it seem like you are not getting better. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water. Dehydration will slow your metabolism down & tigerlilly is right: you don't want to lose the weight fast & seriously give some though about her food diary idea.
