That is very fast weight loss which is difficult and can be dangerous. 2: you're young and probably still growing, so any weight loss can be dangerous if not done without consulting a doctor. 3: I don't think you need to loose weight period. Using your sex, height and weight the BMI calculator I use says you're at 22BMI. A healthy BMI is between 18.5 and 24.9.

Avatar n tn Its more likely to be the lack of sleep than the weight loss- but you could maybe get your blood sugars checked out- as early diabetes can cause the feelings you described... 13lb in 3 weeks is a lot to lose though - normally you would expect 3-5 the first week when your body gets rid of excess fluids and then 1-2lb a week so 9lb is the max you should really be seeing come off in the first 3 weeks. Are you eating a balanced diet and drinking enough fluid as you are exercising too.

My advice is stick to brisk walking until you are about 50-60lbs from your goal weight, then get a medical check up - discuss your exericse thoughts with your GP/doctor and take their advice as to whether you are ready. You may mentally be ready but not physically.

Avatar m tn I agree, and note the beta blocker (BP pill) will lower heart rate. But the below 60 rate is great to my knowledge. Congratulations on the weight loss. I'm now a senior and afib prevents me from running or even jogging. But, in my middle age to 65 years I went from walking to 3 miles in 30 minutes (6 mph average) and think it helped me control weight and made any physical activity easier. Keep it up!

It's great that the echo and holter didn't show anything. I think it would be smart to see an electrophysiologist just to be safe and have some peace of mind.
