If someone has one good to try I would love to know. By the way I have gotten back into AA. I find after a meeting I want to drink because all we are talking about for an hour is alcohol.

Avatar n tn There are two types of thyroid disfunctions. But if you get the correct dosage you wont gain weight. If you still have weight problems, try a hypnosis disc. I used...thinkandlose.com and it worked for me. I am 140 for 3 years straight, on occasion I may lose a little or gain but it stays pretty much on the money.

Avatar m tn The Society for Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis and American Society of Hypnosis are two good groups that have web sites with referral lists. Sometimes causes are knowable and useful, other times not. You need to be sure this concern does not get in the way of getting the help you need.
Avatar m tn I wonder if a ton of small health problems could irritate the fibro pain? My pain has shot through the roof and I don't move much from one spot day after day.
Avatar n tn (look at ways of reducing external stress-avoid stressors, meditate, self-hypnosis,do EFT, listen to soothing music, walk in the park, take more holidays in quaint places, laugh more, read inspirational books, etc.) You should get your iron levels checked, you need freeT3, free T4 and reverse T3 testing and an adrenal stress profile. Conventional doctors won't be much help with what I'm suggesting.
Avatar m tn I Also have severe hair loss. I had very thick healthy hair. I had 12 ECT treatments in 4 weeks during March and April of this year, 2018. My hair continues to fall out every day. I have lost over half my hair. I have severe memory loss still. I lose memory every day. I am more depressed and suicidal than before. I swear profusely now and didn't before. My anxiety is through the roof. I actually woke up during at least 1 ECT session. Number 2. I am angry all the time.
Avatar m tn Since that I started to have anxiety always worrying something will happen to me (health wise). Because I study in a foreign country with a lot of oily food. And I put on 20kgs of weight during a period of 4 yrs. Due to missing my fiancee I started worrying about my health and for a period of 3 weeks and had a hard time of sleeping due to anxiety. But when I returned home on semester break (December 17). My anxiety and sleep issues reduced.

3232858 tn?1437130677 Sorry you have to go through this. I've been going through an anxiety relapse myself (7months now). I too have lost a good bit of weight...20 lbs. even when I eat decent I still lose weight. As soon as I think I'm getting better, BAM...I feel like crap again. I'm learning to just enjoy the good days when I have them and trying to accept the bad days. You mentioned therapy, do you see a psychiatrist too? Are you on meds? I hope you get better soon!
1032898 tn?1258598707 I think hypnosis can be very helpful, at the margins at least, for people in pain. I have used hypnosis, self-hypnosis, relaxation techniques - they all seem to be about the same, to get to sleep despite annoying pain that would otherwise keep me up. I used to have my hypnosis routines on tape (that's how long I've been doing it), now I have some on my ipod that I got for free at itunes under podcasts. I found some for sleep, relaxation, and pain control.
2143641 tn?1396678143 is hypnosis real? is it actually possible to put a person into hypnosis and recall their childhood memories?
Avatar m tn fast weight loss is most of the time lost water and muscles. Fat takes ages to go away. Third: Think of a diet as something permanent. Crash diets just help you gain weight faster once they are over. So, pick some simple rules of a balanced and healthy diet, and follow them. Don't sweat it if you crave for something "bad", to a balanced diet belongs the bad side, too. If you give in now to a small piece of chocolate, it is much better than to eat two whole packages later.
Avatar f tn Yes please talk to your dr, there are many things that could cause rapid or excessive weight loss and some of them can be serious. In addition to Thyroid and GI testing maybe ask about diabetes. It seems odd, but it can cause weight loss.
