To lose 60 pounds in 2 months is a bad idea for you, because the healthy way is 2-3 pounds of weight loss in week. Kill this idea of losing weight. So it is more suggestible for you that, you can loss only 25-30 pounds for 2 months in a healthy way.
I'm 9 weeks postpartum and have been breastfeeding since my son was 2 days old. I've lost 45 lbs out of the 63 i gained. My goal weight is 125-130 then i will adjust then.
Congrats on your weight loss this year! I have to slightly disagree with the responses to do crunches. Not that doing crunches will do any harm, but ab work alone isnt enough to change your stomach. You arent going to see any kind of definition in your stomach if there is still a layer of fat covering your abs. And crunches don't burn enough calories to trim your stomach down either. Cardio will be more effective for trimming your waistline than crunches would be.
I'm curious what kind of weight loss some of you had. Is it common or just depends on the person. Also is it the drugs causing weight loss or the fact that you may not have an appetite.Maybe this will be the only positive of the tx!!
Down 25 pounds as of May 16 using Topomax (400mg) and common sense eating with doctor supervision. My goal is as it has been ...ONE MORE POUND! God is good all the time!
My goal is to lose that 25 pounds by that point. I have always had a hard time sticking to a diet and I guess part of it is because I don't really know what I should be eatting. I know I should lower my calorie intake but how much protien, fiber, potassium, and all of that a day... or does that matter? I just don't know a good meal plan or good things to eat. My other issue is I don't exercise much and I would join a gym but they make me so uncomfortable that I can't handle it.
I'm 18 weeks 5 days along and I've gained a total of 6 pounds since the start of my pregnancy. My dr. Isn't concerned because I lost about 8 pounds the first 14 weeks & have finally started to gain but he mentioned its low compared to normal. Just wondering what you've experienced as far as gaining & losing weight & where you were around 18-19 weeks.
But, I know how you feel I haven't made time for it and have recently gained back 5 pounds! I lost about 30 pounds 1 1/2 yr. ago so that's a big deal! I don't have any of my fat clothes to wear anymore so if I gain too much and I can't wear my current wardrobe I'm in big trouble. I can't gain weight or I will have to wear jogging pants around until I loose it! Try to have a healthy snack around 9:30-ish like maybe a few almonds or yogurt. For lunch do a lean meat like fish, chicken, or pork.
I lost somewhere between 20-25 lbs within the first like 5-5.5 months of my pregnancy. Didn't start gaining until the last month and a half or so.. I've gained a little over 10 of that back so far. So, still well under pre pregnancy weight, but definitely gaining. As long as baby is growing properly and there aren't any medical conditions that may be causing the weight loss, I would say enjoy it while you can! :) I'm hoping that I will be back to my pre pregnancy weight at most on delivery day.
People who are over weight pre pregnancy are supposed to gain 15-25 pounds, people at normal weight are supposed to gain 25-35 and under weight 28-40 pounds. Yes, in the first trimester it could be a little harder to gain some, because of morning sickness. But your not supposed to be losing weight purposly. Its not aboit your cute body anymore, its about the health of youre child.
I've lost my weight entirely via the Core plan of Weight Watchers, which may share some similarities with what you are doing. What I love about it is no counting! Its an experience to learn what to eat, but more importantly, why you should eat it. And when to stop eating it! Anyway, please do come back and let us know how you are doing. I love to hear success stories!
Last time I took the phen, my doctor prescribed me a very low dose of xanax/alprazolam (.25 mg). I consequently had some before I started the phen again and a larger dose to help me sleep (my almost 2 year old had a nasty looking head wound and as a result I had some post-traumatic stress, (I thought he was dying at the time) and was waking up from nightmares. Then, a highschool friend died unexpectedly! Anyway, the xanax (.
My doctor will not give me Clomid unless i lose 25-50 pounds but my goal is to get down to 300 pound. Does anyone know what a 28 year old womens insulin level should be? Mine is 20!
Just made an appointment with a medical clinic for weight loss using the appetite suppr.,water pills and B12 injections... goal is about 25-30lbs loss. Just curious of someone who has been on similar program if it truly works and how long it usually takes to lose the amount of weight I'm wanting to lose. I've tried other weight loss gimicks and obviously with no true results. Thanks for any help or comments.
It should take about 2 months to get to that dosage but I'm getting kinda excited hearing about the benefit of weight loss especially since it was weight loss pills (metabolife and xenedrine) that caused me to find out that I was epileptic in the first place! The doctor told me that i might get tingling in my fingers and i might feel a little dopy but happy dopy he described it as, so I figure i can deal with that! If I start losing weight at a rapid pace i'll definitely post again!
I think that will put me right around the recommended 34lbs of weight loss, perhapes a bit more than that. I'm so close to my goal of 195lbs that I'm hoping I make it... but regardless of reaching that lofty goal, the program has been a tremendous success in my eyes. Next week, when I end the program I'll post my final results with inches lost, etc. I will make sure to post during my Phase 3 progress (as you've requested) and hopfully the weight stays off, right?
I've lost 50 pounds 4-5 times in my life and 75-100 pounds twice...but always regained the lost weight and more. At the time of my most recent loss...2005-2007, I'd thought I'd found the secret to keeping the weight off. I was using "food as fuel" instead of "food as friend" and was exercising 2 hours a day (an hour of cardio and an hour of weight training), five days a week. I was able to take up skydiving and rock-climbing and even went to rollerblade camp.
He did say it 'should' help with weight loss, i am stuck stuck stuck as of now... Please keep me posted on your progress! Good Luck!
My blood pressure is now in the low range (averaging 108/58). At what point in my weight loss (goal of 220 or lower) would you think I'd need to have my BP meds changed (if at all). I just thought a member here may have already gone through this and would have some advice. Thanks in advance!!
#2 - - Weight Loss Well, the doctor told me that one side effect from the phentermine pills was insomnia...and I had that last night. It tends to be hard for me to fall asleep anyways, but last night I was up until about 3:00. The more I thought about it, the less tired I got. Blah! But hey...I'm really not all that tired today so I guess it balances itself out. Anyways, I went to my mom's today and weighed myself. It said approximately 158 lbs.
) I've done a LOT of research on anti-depressants/anti-anxiety drugs and weight gain/weight loss. To answer your question, it can be both. Weight gain only happens in about 25% of people taking antidepressant meds. This can be due to feeling better/enjoying food more and/or from changes in metabolism/appetite as a side effect of the meds.
Speaking from experience, you can lose weight with anxiety. I lost around 25 pounds during three months of intense anxiety. I think on this forum weight loss from anxiety it is quite common.
Proper weight loss starts slowly and you will start to notice more weight loss more quickly as you get healthier. Good luck!
Does anyone know of a Dr. in the Albuquerque, NM area that administers the hCG injections? I just found a website that has an oral product of hCG and it is at http://www.naturalcuresstore.
2, and that's a big down from 146.8 - almost 13 lbs, and that's almost 10% of my body weight! I'm starting to feel bones where I have not felt them for a long time, hollows where I have not felt them for a long time, and I'm starting to feel much less stodgy. My clothes are looser. Life is good! I think that I'll likely be adjusting that goal date again, though. 4.2 lbs in 2 weeks seems like a lot for me.
I went to a local weight loss clinic in my area and got my phentermine 37.5 mg from a real board certified physician. This weight loss clinic is great because they also have B6 and B12 injections, but I haven't tried those yet. I started out at 170 pounds and so far, I have lost 20 pounds in one month just using the phentermine by itself. My goal is to get down to about 125-130 pounds. I am eating a low fat low cal diet (about 1000-1500 cals per day). I also exercise 5-6 days per week.
It's much easier to think of losing 5 pounds than it is to think of losing 50 pounds, which can seem daunting. Once you've reached the first goal of 5 pounds, it's easier to reset the goal for another 5 pounds. In addition, making small changes helps, much more than trying to make huge ones. Too many times, we "go on a diet", and while weight is lost, most people don't stay on the "diet" forever, so weight is regained once the person goes off the diet.
5.5 pounds Amount of Time of Weight Loss: 2 week Dress Size: 12 Exercise: Run/Fast walk on Treadmill (1 times a week for 20 minutes) Goal is 130 pds (initial pds to loose were 46.5).
4 (first Monday of New Year) and went from 162 to 142 as of last week. My goal is 135 (pre baby weight). I know the first 20 lbs were baby weight and weight lost from knocking out all the bad food I was eating daily (I would always grab McDonalds or WaWa breakfast sandwiches after deadline...eek and eat other fast foods for lunch. I knocked all of that out, switched to Coke Zero and started exercising).
