And name a winner every month for the "most weight lost" that month or something??? I am trying to figure out anyway I can to be held accountable for my weight and my effort!!!

During a challenge, you're basically, trying to lose that weight between weigh ins, but I know people need special help, as well. That help might come in the form of needing to figure out their calorie needs, what's actually healthy for them to eat, motivation, or just someone to say, "sure you can do this"...

Avatar f tn Do some home workouts even if there 5 minutes a day. Find a good video you like on YouTube and do it that way. Sometimes I get busy and do that. I am also doing a 30 day ab challenge. I can already see I've lost some weight. I've also stopped drinking sodas and I have only been drinking cranberry juice. Mostly water down to delute it.(half juice,half water) and just water. Hope this helps.

756140 tn?1294767094 s Special K 2 week weight loss challenge.. I started Tuesday, so today was my 3rd day.. my total calorie intake for today was only 1075.. I've had over 80 oz of water though.. Within the past 3 days I've lost a total of 5 lbs, and decreased my BMI from 28.6 to 28.2.. My start weight was 196 and now it is 191.. I'm also kinda tall for a girl.. about 5'8'' or 5'9''.... My BMI needs to get below 28 to be considered normal.
1285110 tn?1420147378 I hope that my comment is not disappointing. I would never go for a weight loss challenge. I believe that grudual loss of weight through regular exercise is the best method to fitness and maintaining the desired weight. I have been jogging or running for the last 20 years and I have maintained more or less the same. The only time I gain weight is whenever I stop exercising for weeks. But once I go back to my exercise routine I do lose weight and regain my fitness.

Throughout that process, you may find some other members who are a close fit or share more similarities with you to be "buddies" where you can share friendship and encourage each other in addition to what you will receive in the challenge. Avatar f tn This cycle will backfire and cause the body to store fat. There are alot of pills out there that will bring short term weight loss. The challenge is not so much losing the weight but keeping it off. Only serious lifestyle changes that include a balanced diet and exercise will help you to effectively manage your weight. Nobody wants to hear that but it's true. I suggest mutual support groups and counselling to help you explore the reasons why you over eat.

1285110 tn?1420147378 If you want to join in the 40 day challenge - it starts today (14th August 2010) but anyone can join in at any point - but weight loss has to be within the 40 days.....so your starting weight is the day you join and your finishing weight is September 22nd 2010.
