Avatar f tn I started taking Birth Control less than a month ago and every few days I start feeling edgy, and have a hard time falling asleep. I have also awaken feeling this way too. It doesnt last long. Could this mean my dosage is too high? I actually dont want to even take the pill. Taking anxiety medication is enough pills for me. Im only 31.
Avatar f tn Thank you. I have gotten checked with the Obgyn and they haven't found anything wrong. I have always had periods like this. So I don't know if there was anything else I could do to regulate them. I know when I was on birth control I got it like clock work lol. So I'm thinking about going back on it but I'm not sure.
Avatar f tn Seroquel does cause you to gain weight regardless of eating, and this is because seroquel effects the pancreas, which is responsible for insulin regulation. Disturbed insulin regulation can lead to food cravings, weight gain..and diabetes. Insulin helps with breaking food down to glucose, the bodies natural sugar that is fed to our bodies cells to give us energy. Food probably plays a role too.
Avatar f tn It is important that you make sure the BP and blood cholesterol are in normal range, body weight is under control, complete abstinence from smoking, regulation of alcohol intake. Regular physical and mental exercises will also help. Low dose aspirin also helps.
Avatar n tn Many, many young women take birth control for birth control purposes. Others take it for period regulation and PMS control. A friend of mine has been on it since she was 12 and she is in her 30's now. I choose not to be on it because my hormones seem to be pretty regulated so I don't want to mess around with it unless I really need to. Really, it is an individual choice, but I wouldn't rule it out based on side effects because they should be minor and/or disappear with time.
446049 tn?1649005835 Wow! So awesome! There is absolutely a correlation to exercise and decreasing anxiety and even depression. Regulation of our body's nervous system can happen through exercise. We all know you release 'happy chemicals' when you exercise but you also increase your dopamine when you accomplish something (like saying you want to exercise and you actually do it). Cortisol is also impacted and that is our stress hormone. We have less. This is a 'good' thing.
Avatar f tn t know if this type of temperature regulation problems happens with age, or are these known symptoms of Lyme?
Avatar f tn Sometimes autoimmune conditions come in pairs or even groups. Hashimoto's is known to occur more frequently in people with related conditions, such as Sjogren's, Lupus, or even diabetes, which are also linked to temperature regulation problems. Thyroid problems can definitely cause it but if your thyroid is under control and your temperature issues haven't improved, you might want to go back to your doctor to look for another condition that could be contributing to it.
9797462 tn?1410751678 Which is more effective? Rod in arm or the pill? I've never been on any birth control before. I've heard the pill helps with acne? True or false? If so, I have bad.acne and would love if it is true lol. Anyways, please post your preferences or stories of usage? Thx!
Avatar f tn Hi! Could you help me with a question on birth control pills? I was on a triphasic pill for years (Tri Sprintec). It was good for keeping acne under control (which is why I originally went on it at age 20). But in the last few years I began suffering from extreme fatigue, lots of water retention, vaginal dryness, etc, and as all my tests were normal my PCP suggested the pill was causing it.
Avatar f tn It might be you need to be on birth control for regulation .
163305 tn?1333668571 Our Regulations, Our Selves: If we could take de-regulation and inject it directly into our spines, this is what it might look like. At least eight people have died so far, 105 have been sickened, and thousands more have been exposed to fungal meningitis as a result of being injected with tainted steroids. The disease leads to swelling of the brain and central nervous system, can last for months, and can kill patients with weaker immune systems or patients who are exposed to large doses.
Avatar f tn I searched on internet for the best possible and fast solution to control the weight and to burn extra fat of body. I found that Alli slimming pill is really popular in the market to lose weight. It is a FDA approved medicine which do not require any prescription from doctor to purchase. Alli directly works on your body fat and burns it. It only allows your body to consume one fourth part of fat which you take with your meal and remaining fat is removed through natural way from the body.
Avatar f tn t seem to put weight on. I stay sick to my stomach a lot, also. I would think that would make me lose weight. I don't know. I am starting to get very concerned about it. That is probably one of the last things for me to be "worried" about, but I have a fear of being overweight like my mother and sister. I want to be as healthy as I can at the time. Thanks y'all for your support.

Avatar m tn If you have SA, being treated while whatever efforts to lose weight are taking place is important. SA tends to disrupt regulation of appetite hormones and metabolism, making weight loss more difficult, especially with the resulting sleepiness and fatigue. While the tongue falling back in the throat is probably the most common culprit in obstructive sleep apnea, it is not the only cause. Plus, as another poster mentioned, there are other types of apnea.
Avatar n tn While surgical repair usually abolishes the aortic arch gradient, systemic blood pressure often remains abnormal and may increase with time, even in those who became normotensive early after repair. The mechanisms for these abnormalities of long-term blood pressure regulation remain unclear. Furthermore, treatment in later life may be less effective, as long-term studies have shown persistent hypertension and decreased survival in those who were operated on in adolescence and adulthood.
Avatar m tn ve also hypertension and need to exercise for that (weight control/blood pressure regulation). Any comments greatly appreciated.

I've taken Clomid for four cycles back in 2012 and two cycles of Fermara. I take Dostinex regularly for prolactin regulation. Haven't been on any birth control for about seven years.
Avatar f tn Yehhaaa Go Maine ...more government intrusion , no end to it , hyper regulation ..this would affect bake sales , church suppers , pot lucks , small farmers ,lemonade stands, picnics, and definately the American way of life that we are used to ,in my opinion its all part of the attack by this over blown government to grab more control same way they are telling us what to eat...
