Common Questions and Answers about Weight chart women over 40

weight

Avatar f tn Oh gosh, you are not old. LOL Nowadays, many women have kids until 40 with absolutely no intervention. I had kiddos in my late 30's with no children prior to that. What you can do is be really proactive though. Take care of your body, get to a good weight (not too thin or overweight), eat well, exercise, get your sleep, de stress your life. I gave up caffeine when TTC. I tracked my temperature so I best understood my cycle.
Avatar f tn Thank you... I was literally just wondering when the third trimester started.
Avatar f tn So our daughter's height has been slowly dropping on her growth chart. Over the period of 2 years, she has gone from 95% down to 10%. The progression has been this: Birth: 95% 3 months: 50% 6 months: 45% 12 months: 25% 20 months: 15% 2 years: 10% Is this normal? She had serious health issues when born (two heart defects, heart failure, failure to thrive with weight, but these have all been resolved for over a year.
Avatar f tn what did your babies weigh at 26 weeks? I just got back from my growth ultrasound and he's a whopping 2 lbs 3oz! I looked up a chart for average fetal weight and it says the average at 26 weeks is 1.68lbs!
Avatar n tn I forgot to say I'm sorry about your miscarriages; I know how painful those can be! Also, the other thing an RE can do for you is monitor your progesterone if you do conceive and give you precription progesterone if it's low (as it often is in women over 40). Best wishes to you!

Avatar f tn The weight chart on here is total bs. Don't listen to it.
Avatar f tn and you will need to watch your weight gain very carefully. If you start gaining a lot of weight it means that you are retaining a lot of fluid and that can be life threatening, so call, or go to the hospital. If you are not working with a board certified reproductive endocrinologist, you should consult with one before your next cycle. If you do get pregnant on this cycle, be very careful too! In fact, your doctor should have told you to avoid intercourse! http://www.ivf.com/ohss.
Avatar f tn how does so many women over 40 are thin if all women who are in premenopause or menopause state do experience weight gain due to hormonal changes
Avatar f tn s harder to get pregnant when you are over 40....even women who are 38 and 39 who are trying to get pregnant take a long time. So basically expect to try and try and try and when you do get pregnant you have a much higher risk of miscarrying and if you get past that point then you have to worry about Down's Syndrome. It's really amazing when it happens and of course it does happen, but it seem like the rarity. Good luck. We ended up using donor eggs.
Avatar f tn You can count it two ways. 1. You can count every 4 weeks this is what some women go by because its easy but kind of wrong. Of you count it like this you'll be pregnant for 10 months. 2. You can do the normal pregnancy chart which lasts 9 months.
7818018 tn?1406154441 There is 4.3 weeks in a months. But the second chart from what to expect seems more legit. I don't see how 6 weeks forms a month.
9263335 tn?1403463032 After my glucose test I got weighed.. I'm so sad my councelor called me fat. My pre pregnancy weight was 135& today I weighed 173 :"(. She told me I'm 3 pounds over weight & my daughter only weighs 2lbs 5oz which made me feel even worse because I'm just blowing up like a balloon. :'( I was told I must go on a diet & lose the weight so that I don't have any complications. (29weeks+2).
Avatar n tn This is the chart I use. Most count it by every 4 weeks which makes your 10 months even some doctors count it by this. Either way you're pregnant for 40 weeks. I like to use this chart which I google imaged pregnancy weeks to month chart and saved a photo to my phone. I use this chart because most doctors use it and it makes me feel like I'm not pregnant as long hahah.
Avatar f tn All this said, tons of women get pregnant over 40 and have perfectly healthy babies. If your RE says you have a good shot then I say go or it!! I wish you lots of luck!!
Avatar n tn From the reading I've done, it seems like the IVF success rate for women over 40 is low. I just finished Lupron and I'm starting the stimulation phase. Can anyone over 40 share some success with IVF?
1834324 tn?1322141104 My aunt has a theory about how a woman carries when she's pregnant with a boy vs girl. With a boy, you carry all out front like a basketball-just like men when they gain weight. With a girl, you carry all around-just like women when they gain weight. I'll be interested to see if this pans out for me! I've had people say both so far.
Avatar f tn It depends on your pre pregnancy weight some women can gain 40, while others only 5.
Avatar f tn I'm a plus size girl, not excessively so size 18/20. And I gained 70 with my first, 35 with my second and 15 with my 3rd....I am currently 11wk4days and have lost weight. My Dr says as a bigger girl if I can safely gain 20-25.....you are right though some women are going to see the 'exsessive' weight gain on the app and freak out....not cool. It should just let u track ur weight....bot give input.
Avatar m tn Hello, I am new to this site, so hello all. I'm just looking for other people's experience and input. I just turned 40 last month and since we'd been trying for a baby for a few months, I decided to have the routine tests. For the past two months, although my progesterone levels were fine and suggested I ovulated, my FSH was 23 once month, 20 this month. I went and did an AMH test and it was 0.7. I know these aren't good.
898530 tn?1268618782 I'm still trying and will be 41 in a month. I've heard alot of wonderful stories about women over 40 have perfectly healthy pregnancies both on here and people I've met. There can be complications at any age. At 32 I had gestational diabetes with my DD but still had a normal healthy pregnancy otherwise, it was actually quite a wonderful time. I felt really good. I think they just have to give you those "warnings".
