If she acts anything but normal, take her to the Vet again. Watch that the kittens are putting on weight and that should tell you that mommy is getting enough nutrition.

My cat gave birth to seven cute Persian kittens. two of them died a few days later. the other 5 are healthy and about 1 month old. it's been a few days that my cat doesn't eat well and she doesn't care about her kittens as before. her kittens are able to eat for themselves, but still need breast milk. I just did a quick read on part 2 'feeding newborns' it has a chart where it says for weeks old kittens(4 oz weight) they need to have 9-12 feedings per day of 32cc (1 oz). thats 1 week old, I would think at a day old yours must be well below the 1 oz weight and therefore need more feeding even more often....so thats more frequently than every 2 hrs....wow.

I wouldn't listen to the weight chart thing, I'm nearly 35 weeks amd ever since a set up this app it has been telling me av been gaining too much weight, av never worried as think it is probably better to be gaining to much than not enough.

The other thing is, check her stool for any sign of worms. Vets automatically worm kittens on their first visit, assuming all kittens have roundworms. Maybe they do and maybe they don't, but the meds used to worm a kitten for roundworms are considered safe so they just do it as a matter of course. Roundworm medication can be bought online or at the pet store, just be sure of the doses if you want to worm your baby, since she's still so young. Don't give her anything else, though.

Steven brought home 2 kittens that were abandoned by their mother. He has been taking care of him at his work(where he foudn them) to the best of his ability, but we decided to bring them home last night. We believe they are about 3 weeks old. We have this black mama (ferrel cat) that has kittens here every year. Times are rough and I just leave her alone safe under the shed. She can relax and enjoy her kittens. She usually takes them away after she teaches them to hunt. Now this last liter of 2 black kittens are still here and now she has a tiny one and shes back lounging in the yard. So thats 4 ferrel black cats in my back yard. They aren't hurting anything are they? Its just starting to freak me out.
