Hello All, We'll soon be introducing a new feature for our expecting moms. The Pregnancy, Week-by-Week application will allow you to read all about what's happening to your body and to your baby during any given week. It'll track where in your pregnancy you are and send you emails to let you know when you've started a new week as a reminder to read the new information for that week.

Has anyone on here taken week by week pics to track there growing belly? Or plan on taking maternity pictures? What week are you planning on taking them?

This is what I wanted to know. .nxt mnth m supposed to see her...let's hope all is gud..n I was scared of going through any internal check up so soon..!! Thanks fr d info..

I now riht its like u feel so many emotions specially if u a ftm because u dont now what to expect or how it will go or the proces as of other people thats had kids they now what to expect the pain the process everything the coming home with baby we doing many new things but excited to do em lol

s in a matter of 5 months they might just give me one and if they do..what can I expect to see?? By then I will either be 5 weeks 1 day or 6 weeks 1 day...I really want to see a heart beat...but I'm nervous if I'm only 5 weeks by then I wont and I will just panic! I wonder if I made my appointment too soon..I just wanted to get in there ASAP...

Also I cried of course I was so excited to find out what we were having! They do all the measurements first and at the end if you want to find out what your having that's when you find out...

So on Monday we have our 12 week ultrasound and I was wondering what to expect. I have had 2 other ultrasounds so far [one at 5w6d and one at 7w6d] they didn't let me look at the screen for either and I only got a picture the second one and it was just one. Is this normal? My friend got a whole bunch of her ultrasound pictures? How long does it take? Will I be able to see the screen thus time? What should I expect? Will we get to hear the heartbeat finally?

I went to the doctors and they confirmed that I was having a miscarriage and said I would pass it naturally. They want to see me in a week to make sure everything is ok. Earlier tonight, I passed what looked like a fleshy material, so I am assuming that was it. I am not sure how this all happens. Is it over then, since I think it passed? I'm really upset about all of this. I've never been pregnant before/had a miscarriage before. This is all new to me. How long does it normally take?

I am only 28 weeks 6 days so I am not sure what to expect at your appointment.... I have had 3 ultrasounds , the first was at 14 weeks to figure out my EDD and then one at 22 weeks for the anatomy scan , and due the baby's positioning they couldn't get all their measurements so I had to have my third one at 27 weeks.... I think most people only have 2 unless there are problems.... my mum went her last 2 pregnancies not having a single one.

I scheduled an appointment with my OB/GYN for next week and i am so nervous! Im just curious as to what to expect at my first appointment?

First appointment this week. What should I expect? Will they take an ultrasound to tell me what they think the due date will be? Or will they just go by my last period for right now? Do I get blood tests done? Will they give me a pap smear? I like to be prepared..I hate the unknown.

i would suggest getting some pamphlets from your doctor and even investing in a baby book. the what to expect when expecting books even tell you what each doctors visit. congratulations on your pregnancy!!!

My first prenatal appt wasn't until I was almost 7 months pregnant ...but the initial visit was what they called the "New OB Work-up". I sat with the nurse and went over family history. She gave me a bag with lots of goodies in it, as well as a notebook with important info (meds, Dr's phone numbers, a list of what to expect during appts throughout the pregnancy, etc). Last thing they did was have me pee in a cup and they drew my blood.

just relax, I literally complained the majority of my last month because I was over it. I was sooo scared of birth but you know what really helped and this might sound insane and tmi BUT when I had to poop I'd push and count to ten like as if I was in labor LMAO.

Congrats. You usually don't feel the babies movements until around 19-21 weeks, and with it being your first, later rather than sooner since you don't know exactly what to expect with the very first movements.

Lol I heard that the best thing to do while recovering from a csection is to try to stay as active to as possible for faster healing after a few days of rest. Which makes sense, considering your body works harder when you're busy, rather than laying around all day.

5 months 1 week. Pregnancy is 40 weeks so if you divide that by 4 (roughly a month) you get 10 so pregnancy is 10 months. That's the easiest way I work it out and makes most sense.

Mine was week 19. I got to take mine early because I was prediabetic before I got pregnant and I have a fear of needles so the blood draw for all the tests they needed was done at the same time.
