Avatar f tn Under conditions of high stress, the loss of available tyrosine to the brain results in one’s loss of interest, slower movement and a decline in physical health. Low tyrosine levels coupled with chronic stress leads to a decrease in enzymatic activity responsible for producing hormones. These influences affect the hypothalamus and adrenal glands which adversely leads to the dysfunction of the thyroid.

I'm wondering will my t3 increase on its own with the levoxyl increase? What causes t3 not to convert? Please help me better understand. Taking meds three times a day is tiring. Thanks!

Avatar n tn Does this formular hold true when the patients LDL and HDL are low to begin with. My LDL went from 80 to 39 and HDL from 50 to 34. So, I have a 51% reduction from LDL lowering. My HDL decrease of 16mg would increase my risk by 32%? Overall is the reduction 19% (51 -32)?
