Avatar m tn Low emotional stress levels. Have blood cholesterol levels checked every year to ensure they are lower than average. Keep blood pressure normal, even if it involves medication.
Avatar f tn It may be difficult to do but you need to find ways to cope with your stressors and that will bring your cortisol down. I know all too well what high levels of stress for too long can do and would give anything to go back and change things. Take control of your health and learn ways to relax (I know it's hard- I'm fighting a second case of 3 years with mono b/c I didn't listen to my body when I should have).
Avatar f tn I'm not sure but I think it can cause low cortisol levels which can become serious and require drug treatment
4152590 tn?1350772856 I had a bad night last night. First, I had to sit through a 5 hour meeting yesterday and developed what i think is sciatic nerve pain down my left buttock and leg. I've had this kind of pain before and don't think it's MS related. Then, last night, I was working on an important document on my computer and lost it. Needless to say, I was very upset. It was late, so I just called it a night.

I like exercise and massage too, as well as pedicures and walking my dogs and baking and reading. And the occasional piece of cheesecake always makes me feel good, temporarily.

Avatar f tn •Figure out what’s making you stressed and talk to your partner, a friend or your health care provider about it. •Know that the discomforts of pregnancy are only temporary. Ask your provider how to handle these discomforts. •Stay healthy and fit. Eat healthy foods, get plenty of sleep and exercise (with your provider’s OK). Exercise can help reduce stress and also helps prevent common pregnancy discomforts. •Cut back on activities you don’t need to do.
