Im recently diagnosed with A-Fib and am sheduled for an electro-cardioversion next week (after 4 weeks warfarin therapy). The cardiologist wants to start me on Sotalol 3 days before on an outpatient basis. I've read where Sotalol should only be started in a closely monitored hospital setting for 3 days. (WebMD, NIH.gov, others..), and tells me this is common practice.
I would appreciate hraing from others on Sotalol as to how their dosage was started..

In general, patients on heparin should not experiment with supplements without their doctor's approval. Supplements can be great, but they aren't as exact in their dosing as a drug like heparin, and doctors don't know much about them.
I takes 5mg/7.5mg warfarin alt day and 75mg ecosprin (daily).But now i m taking 7mg warf everyday with 75mg ecosprin. so anybody kindly advise me for keep myself fit.

So continuing through with warfarin seems to be the newer strategy.

My doctor suggested monitoring for the first 24 hours after my first shot for when the onset of any side effects occured and then adjusting when i gave myself the shot so that the onset or most of the "WORST" of the sx occured while I was sleeping. Yeah, sorry about any possible miscommunication. The Incivek dosing schedule of three times a day has to to do with the relatively short half-life of Incivek. Taking each dose with 20 grams of fat has to do with increasing absorption & bioavailability. Even though someone's doctor may have said otherwise it would be helpful to provide the Incivek Product Monograph to show the dosing schedule has changed.
Honestly, I would just skip it and resume your normal dosing schedule in the am. You are on a every 12 hour schedule, and it would be one thing if it were just off by a little, but you are off by 6, 7 hours.. Not that it would harm you in any way, but you may end up with a few unpleasant side effects, especially since you're dosing twice daily.
If you find yourself frequently forgetting to take a dose...then find a way to remind yourself.
