When i took my second dose yesterday at 10 am, right around the same time around 3 or 4 i started with more intense upset stomach but this time i felt tingly in my face and flush as well as a floating and dizzy sensation...kinda felt like i was heading toward that part where you start seeing black before passing out. While i do have asthma i felt like i was having a mild asthma attack. Not sure if that was from the panic of the extreme symptoms because they scared me soo badly.
Omeprazole Better Than Other Drugs for Indigestion Reuters Health By David Douglas Monday, July 25, 2005 NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - As a treatment for upset stomach, omeprazole, sold under the trade names Prilosec and Rapinex, provides superior relief to that achieved with ranitidine, sold as Zantac, or with cisapride, sold as Propulsid, Canadian researchers report in the American Journal of Gastroenterology.
First it is entirely possible to get afib via gas bloat and other stomach and digestive tract disorders. If your stomach and digestive tract is as described then you must have inflamation. All this inflamation and bloat and gas will push up on your diaphram and surrounding areas and cause great discomfort and pain but also can press upon nerves.

Hi, If anyone's reading this, It is now one month and 3 days post op. I feel pretty good most days. Today I'm having some left sided pain, probably due to sleeping on my left side. The home care nurse just called, my INR is 4.8 !!! It has been 1.5, 1.8, 2.4, 2.8.....then I had to go on the medrol dose pak (steroids) for a severe rash I developed from taking niferex forte (we think this is what the rash is from) . Niferex forte is a vitamin capsule with vitamin c, b12, folic acid and iron.
Now that you mentioned a lack of green vegetables may affect enzymes I am wondering whether this could be the cause of my upset stomach/digestion problems which keeps me on Prilosec. I tried to get a PT home tester but my insurance refused to cover the cost. Would like to hear from anyone about alternatives to Coumadin and a reasonably-priced home PT testing kit.
The only listed interactions Orlistat has with other medications is a heart rhythm control medication known as Amiodarone, a thyroid medication known as Levothyroxine, Fat soluble vitamins, and the blood thinner known as Warfarin. Additionally, if you have taken Orlistat and oral contraceptive pills before with no changes the likelihood of the combination having an effect on your cycle this month is very small. I would consult your OB/GYN or your regular physician about your concern.
The blocked artery was a small, inoperable one at the base of the brain..treatment was warfarin, cholesterol control, blood pressure tablets, and more recently, tablets for type 2 diabetes. We attend... Dr. physiotherapy and hydrotherapy regularly. He is no longer allowed to drive a motor vehicle. He operates an electric scooter for getting about. We have a wheelchair ( able to be dismantled and stowed in the car)for trips out of town.
Steve, that is a very interesting study on warfarin. Of course, viral titers, inflammation and fibrosis have been known not to correlate, but, like LDN, I wonder how many other drugs like warfarin are out there that, with off-label use, could help curb the pathologies of hep c. You might be correct that your use of warfarin has helped save your liver.
I like your comment including digestive system and overall well being as I am sort of sure that there is a big link with upset gurgly stomach and PVC's. VAGUS NERVE. When I was in hospital after a suspected heart attack they told me that the whole thing could have been caused by excess alcohol and smoking irritating my stomach and causing the same symptoms as a heart attack. There's so many possibilities - still my tooth went yesterday so hoping for improvements.

Hello, I posted about my DVT here. I went off warfarin in late Nov and I've had two incidents since then of leg pain severe enough to need an ultrasound to check for another clot. My doctor did two more tests after the second incident which show I have venal insufficiency in the popliteal vein, the one I had the dvt in and in another smaller vein in that leg. I have been taking 80 mg baby aspirin and the symptoms seem to get better when I do.
As for your theories, I have nothing to add or detract, but a safety belt is hopefully never needed, but I wear one anyway. I take both Warfarin and aspirin, but then I have the age strike against me and am in AFib full time.
A cup of coffee between 4 and 7. Just one....I get a sputter now and then when I'm real upset. But, as far as the full blown episodes in the evenings....nothing...Sounds pretty easy and cheap, no drugs either....and it taste good. I think that the coffee almost has to be the reason, its the only thing I've changed. I had this around 20 years and i did have times where they went away for maybe a month, but they always came back and i always had them this time of year, always.
I thought it was gone and then it started again. Sometimes my head is so sore all I can do is hold it and cry and pray. I have arthritis in my jaw and cheek bones and migranes, which makes it difficult to know exactly what is causing the head pain on any given day. My jaw bones are cracked, the pain is in the same area as Giant Cell. Its hard to disinguish where the pain is from until it spreads all over my head.
I have been to about 30 doctors- including ENT's allergists, neurologists, chiropracters, opthamologists. psychologists, dentists and everything else u can think of. All CT scans, MRI of brain and blood work keep coming back clean and ok. Nothing I try seems to work. There was a period of time about 3 and a half years ago that the symptoms lifted for about 4 months and then it returned full force.

Also no side effects, although I may have gained a few pounds in the first week. If it continues to work, I may be able to get off of warfarin. And if I stay out of AFib even longer, I will probably be able to quit taking Multaq. I've eased back into running and feel pretty normal now and optimistic about getting rid of AFib for good.

Side Effects Side effects are rare but may include skin allergy and burning sensations (with external use), headache, stomach upset, nausea, dizziness, and extreme drowsiness. These side effects tend to occur with high doses of gotu kola. Pregnancy and Breastfeeding Pregnant women should not take gotu kola because it may cause spontaneous abortion.
Now its nearly 2 weeks and I have a little nausea but the thing that is driving me totally insane now is the restlessness in my legs and the pain in my back. I spend all night tossing and turning and trying to get comfortable and then I get so angry that I can't get to sleep. It is getting a little easier. I think I had really high expectations, I think I was expecting to be over this a lot quicker.
During examining me, they asked about my leg cause I have DVT (I was extremely overweight and now losing weight) and later found there was a clot, so I was admitted into the hospital and am currently being treated for it and taking warfarin. However, I was told nothing of my chest or if I damaged my esophagus. They did do a chest x-ray and a cat scan on me. Would those tests determine if there is something wrong with my chest?
I am 38 and at age 10 had rheumatic fever. I now have heart palpitations and tachycardia and am on medication for the tachycardia (Toprol XL). What exactly does the Atrial Dialtion mean and can it be the reason for the palpitations and tachycardia? Is this reversible? I am also overweight, will losing weight help? Is it ok to exercise? Should I start on an aspirin a day? I am really scared and dont know what to do. Is there anything I can do? Help please!!
tell your doctor and pharmacist what prescription and nonprescription medications you are taking, especially methotrexate, phenytoin (Dilantin), warfarin (Coumadin), and vitamins. tell your doctor if you have or have ever had liver or kidney disease, asthma, severe allergies, or glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G-6-PD) deficiency (an inherited blood disease). tell your doctor if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding.
an oral dose this high would cause serious stomach upset and very bad diarrhea so don't try this at home with oral magnesium citrate!!!!, but anyway, all of the patients who were given the magnesium responded to the treatment. So, magnesium sulfate at 1000mg given by intravenous injection is a good acute treatment for a migraine headache...
I'd think a good strategy would be to take some anticoagulant steps, the simplest and still effective is to take an aspirin a day (or half an aspirin or a low dose aspirin) with a meal. I take my 1/2 regular aspirin with breakfast, and I do not have any stomach upset from the practice. If the frequency of the AFib goes up, you may want to consider taking something to hold it off, like a beta blocker (a prescription drug). The more you are in sinus rhythm the better from all points of view.
Just wanted to warn you to be careful how much nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory you take along with the prednisone, because it increases your chances of peptic ulceration or atleast stomach irritation. Also, increased appetite is also noticed. If you start having nausea and vomiting, you need to let the pharmacist and/or DR. know about it. otherwise, make sure you taper it as prescribed.
Stomach upset, gas, heartburn, change of taste, diarrhea, constipation, skin rash, headache, dizziness or blurred vision may occur the first few days as your body adjusts to the medication. If these effects persist or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify MD promptly if you experience: muscle ache/pain, fever, unusual tiredness or weakness, vision changes, yellowing eyes or skin.

I was placed on a feeding machine (don't recall what kind) and fed through a tube directly into my stomach. This proceedure was carried out for a period of ten days. During this time, I was X-rayed while swallowing various types of foods/liquids.(can't remember to clearly as I was "out of it") As a result of this testing, I was transferred to another facility. During the next three weeks, I was put on a feeding machine and monitored day and night.
