The exact mechanism of interaction is unknown and further tests may need to be done.

Avatar n tn I take 1 tablespoon of Carlson lemon flavor fish oil in the AM, 1 teaspoon in the afternoon and 1 tablespoon in the evening. Coumadin is one of the all-time worst "hangovers" from the "heyday" of patent medications: No matter how many alternatives there are for it, it just won't go away. It certainly thins the blood, but it does so by "poisoning and killing off" the vitamin K in your body.

Avatar f tn Cod liver oil isn't the best fish oil for inflammation or for omega 3 oils. It comes in gel caps, which you don't taste at all. Nordic Naturals is a very good brand for omega 3 rich fish oil.

460830 tn?1347219306 I don't take aspirin and ibuprofen at the same time - I alternate between aspirin, ibuprofen and acetamenophen (Sp?), so I won't be taking too much of either. But I noticed yesterday I had the SAME bleeding, in the SAME PLACE! I wonder what's going on?
Avatar m tn s ( COX-1 type, Ibuprofen, others). Therefore, use of fish oil together with aspirin (especially daily low dose as used to prevent strokes and heart attacks) may be harmful. As with everything else you may read on this website, the decision to use fish oil or not in combination with these drugs must be taken by patient and nephrologist together, weighing potential risk and potential benefits.

Except that he did have sometime ago an angiography because of suspicious of schemia (not sure of pronunciation) also a type-A personality , which proved that there nothing to worry about and the schemia is due to bridge on the LAD artery (born like this). however his doctor put him for prevention on concor-cor 2.
Avatar m tn Pradaxa is taken twice a day, shorter life in the body and is cleared from the body quicker than coumadin (warfarin). With warfarin, Vitamin K is used to reverse overanticoagulation in patients, there is no antidote for Pradaxa. Warfarin a lot cheaper than Pradaxa. Good luck with your ablation. Hope you do well on Pradaxa! Best wishes!!
Avatar n tn Hi and welcome to the forum. I first want to say that talking to your doctor is the best way to find the right answers for you. All herbal supplements are unregulated and untested. There is limited true scientific data and much of it is anecdotal in nature. This is what I've read about the things you've mentioned. There IS a possible drug interaction with red clover and an oral contraceptives. So, if your IUD uses progesterone, it would not be a good idea to start red clover.
