i have taken vyvanse, and adderall (unprescribed) on a couple of occasions to help me with my school work, but this afternoon i had one of the worst experiences of my life. i had purchased a 70 mg vyvanse pill, took 1/4 of it yesterday and the other 3/4 this morning, so today i was on about 50 mg.
Your employment at the Company is “employment at-will,” which permits the Company or the employee to terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, with or without cause.
Something that will help sleep patterns get back to normal without a prescription and all the terrible side effects that clonidine will cause is MELATONIN. My son has been taking melatonin for 3 years now and sleeps much much better. I give him 3mg 1 hour before bed and in about 20-30 mins. he goes in and goes to sleep and sleeps all night. He wakes up without that groggy feeling like sleep aids cause. They also make this in 5 mg doses for older children.
I tried welbutrin and it knocked me out, provigil did the same. I've been on the new Vyvanse for a few weeks now and it is too good to be true. I feel like the person I always wanted to be: Alert, funny, not compulsive with food But now the fears begin. I'm terrified and obsessed with the idea that this is a honeymoon period and it will all wear off. I constantly search the boards for a confirmation of this fear.
Does anyone know of a way for me to try vyvanse or adderall to see if it can help me concentrate without a doctor's visit. I don't have health insurance and the money to waste of ADHD tests, but if I know those drugs will help me improve my business, then I will see those things as an investment. Could someone give me a suggestion? Thanks so much!
I am anxious and irritable without medication, and the addition of Vyvanse has sent me over the edge. At the prescribed 30 milligrams, I feel unfocused, in a cold medicine like fog, unmotivated to do ANYTHING, but worst of all is the extreme rage I feel towards everything. I literally feel like I'm coming out of my skin. I'm just sitting here watching the clock waiting for the horror to end. One comfort is reading posts like the ones written here.
is it safe to take ambien to go to sleep after taking vyvanse...i take vyvanse in the morning when i wake up it is 30 mg. is it okay to take ambien at night to go to sleep?
Eventually I was basically forced to quit methadone and go off cold turkey, I went from 100mg to 60 and then went CT from there. This was in Oct 2009. I stayed on my prescription of klonopin from my reg doctor who know i was on methadone. A month later he started me back on hydrocodone and eventually put me on tramadol, neurontin, and temezepam as well. I also developed an addiction to halcion, aka triazolam. I finally decided in October of 2010 that I had gotten out of control.
I went to the ER today to get it checked out and I didn't tell them about the vyvanse. This prescription I got is a couple years old and I had it leftover. It's been a while since I even touched it. The doctors did an EKG and found it to be normal. They sent me home. I am still having chest pains at the moment and shortness of breath. Health wise, if I don't take anymore, am I still in trouble because of how I'm feeling? Or will this pain go away?
The high went away after a couple days and the focus craze toned down and I found a great balance, I got home work, work, driving, cleaning and drawing all done without jumping between tasks, I was able to have a conversation with my husband and stay completely engaged, life was good. Normal. About two months with that the mistakes started to haunt me again, I missed a stop light, started forgetting things, not as bad as without addreall at all, but still very add.
Hey I am worried about my sister! She is on Vyvanse right now at thiry mgs but does NOT take it daily. Her husband takes twenty mgs of Adderall daily, and sometimes she will take an adderall instead of a vyvanse. Is this safe?? I don't think she is taking them at the same time but, is it safe for her to take an adderall on occasion? She claims the adderall gives her more energy than the vyvanse so she takes it when she has a night that she is working late and so on.

The second thing that is probably more important here is that the use of stimulant medications, especially if you are mixing and matching, don’t have attention deficit disorder, and have likely been given or purchased these medications yourself without a physician’s prescription or physician’s supervision is illegal. These are considered controlled substances for a reason.
I overcame all of those things in the past without PRESCRIPTION DRUGS. It was very hard, but I did it... This time however, I had more ppl to worry about then just myself.. so I got on the PSYCH MEDS, for my husbands and childrens sake... so I could be " INSTANTLY BETTER" - THAT WAS MY BIGGEST MISTAKE. I TRUELY BELIEVE STARTING THE ANTIDEPRESSANTS AND STIMULANTS CAUSED MY FIBROMYALGIA. It was in April 2009 when the Lexapro and Vyvanse lost their effect, and the doc upped my dose.
His pediatrician feels pretty certain he also has ADD and wants to put him on Vyvanse and see how he reacts to that. I am just sick. I have such strong feelings against medicating children and here I am about to do this to him. In doing my online research I came across something called absence seizures. Does anyone know if hypothyroidism and this can be related and what are the chances he has both thyroid disease and ADD. He himself crys to me all the time that he can't remember things.
Maybe you can ask your doctor to give you a one week prescription for Adderall or Vyvanse to see if it has a benefit to you. They work right away, not like antidepressants which have to build up in your blood stream. Hope this helps.
However, the glasses do seem to make distant things clearer, although the Rx is very weak and I almost never wear them since I feel that I can read signs and such with no problem while driving without them. So, when this eye pain arose recently, I at first thought it was because I had been sitting at the computer for too long, and had just taxed my eyes for the time being. However, the pain in my eyes came back, and completely randomly. Now, it seems that my eyes hurt pretty much every day.
DH & I are both ADD (I take Adderall, he took Vyvanse) - key word is "took" because I spoke to his doctor about him abusing most prescription pills & now he's cut off. He asked me for some today & I desperately don't want to deny him what he needs yet know in my heart I should not (plus I'll be without as I have been in the past when he's stolen mine). How do I keep strong & not give in to guilt?
I have been taking Adderall for about 8 or 9 years now without a prescription. I have taken different amounts depending on what I can get from whoever. I have never abused it, just used enough to get me through work and home life. I usually take it for work though as it really helps me stay focused and just be a better person overall.
I received a letter in the mail b/c I take Adderall XR, which is made by the same Pharm Co as Vyvanse, Shire Pharmecueticals. It was just a notice saying that Vyvanse has been approved for adult use. I see my psychiatrist in a little over a week for a prescription refill and I am going to ask if he'll switch me. He knows that Vyvanse is the one that worked best for me. The great thing for me since I am not working, Shire also has a pt. assistance program.
I was diagnosed with ADD at 5 and was on ritalin until I did the same thing with that at 20 as I did with the anitdepressants. I went to school without either at 22 and although it was VERY difficult I got through and started a very good job. It was after starting that job that I realized how to accept both the depression and the ADD and accept help for both. I went to my doctor about 9 months ago and am now on Vyvanse and Fluoxetine.
She wanted the 11 pills of Adderall to wear off from Tuesday but she couldn't go long without her pills without being super depressed. How can she over come this?! What can i do to help?!?! Please an advice!!
I'm sure if I bring it up with my doctor he'll just say it's the Vyvanse probably....even though the breathing problems started before the Vyvanse, and the dizziness, well, I've been on it for a while and never had these problems. I feel stuck.
AS most ppl may know some docs wont allot pregnant women to have any adderall. I was miserable without it, very depressed, couldnt concentrate or will myself to do anything let alone finish anything and i balooned upto 177 plus lbs and my baby was less than 6 lbs at birth full term. anyways i have been put back on my normal dosage from my highadias and it doesnt seem to effect me like it use to and my new doc isnt comfortable with my high dosage.
Then I got a pretty nice prescription for them in October 2008 but did not take nearly as much as I was prescribed. But now I have built up quite a dependency on them. Before I would take 20mg XR a day early in the morning to study alll day then 30 now 40mg XR which is also beginning to lose its effects. I am currently an undergraduate and will be taking the MCAT on September 4th. I need to study a lot so I have turned to none other all mighty adderall.
5mg morning wellbutrin 200mg morning vyvanse 60mg morning via D 1000iu morning viaB-12 4000mcg morning fish oil w/ omega3 1000mg morning XYREM 3.
I am finding more and more people to whom this has happened. This is because Ritalin and other stimulant ADD drugs (Concerta, Adderall, Vyvanse, Dexadrine, etc) work on the dopamine system which is not only responsible for attention but pleasure, too. The drug has the same mechanism of action as cocaine and the result of long-term use is the same. The drug works for a while and then the person develops a tolerance to the drug and more is needed to achieve the same result.
It is most likely the adderall that your feeling. I get the same feeling when I come off of it. But I am now taking Vyvanse which is the same thing, but only it lasts longer and there is almost no comedown. I still use the adderall when I need a quick boost. And like sandman2 said you may also need more sleep and also you might not be eating right. I don't know how you live at all except for what you said though.
He says that the other kids are saying things to him and the teachers states she has not heard any of it. With the Vyvanse he does not have the crash at night like he did with the Daytrana but he is WIDE open. Is there a medication out ther that might be another alternative. How about Stretara or Concerta? Any and All input is greatly appreciated.
I am taking three times the recommended maximum amount of Vyvanse (a lot like Adderall) which is 70mg to function. Read up on Adderall. The 60mg maximum is based on old studies conducted on children between the ages of 6 and 12. If your husband is a big guy (I'm 6'2' 220 pounds) 60mg is nothing. I tried 60mg and it didn't dent my fatigue. Try to find a doctor to prescribe "off-label", usually a psychiatrist, to increase the Adderall.
