Vyvanse withdrawal

Common Questions and Answers about Vyvanse withdrawal

vyvanse

Your symptoms sound more like a withdrawal type of symptom, then a normal reaction to vyvance. This is a pretty good site for information for adults on meds. I think you will find the information useful as it compares Vyvanse vs Adderall XR. Do make sure you also click on their ADHD link at the top of the page once you have finished reading. The site is - http://healthlifeandstuff.com/2009/07/vyvanse-vs-adderall-simple-vs-complex.
I should have figured. I have read from several sources that withdrawal symptoms from Vyvanse can include extreme fatigue. I'm praying this is temporary and his body needs to re-adjust to life w/o Vyvanse but if I had to guess - it doesn't seem to me that he can function well enough while not on it. This is all so very frustrating and disheartening. All of his friends are moving along in college with education goals and plans and he's stuck at a standstill with no idea which way to go.
I have been prescribed vyvanse 20 mg and would like to stop. How can I wean myself off this medication safely? I have been on it for a month now and on aderrall 20 mg for a month prior. I have two small children and can not afford to have severe withdrawal symptoms.
I was hooked on adderall for a good 5 years but kicked the habit after I have had enough of the terrible side affects and anxiety. I'm now on vyvanse only really bc I am currently on house arrest because of a 2nd dui charge. I take them because I get a lot of stuff done and to keep me from going insane until my house arrest is over. They make me feel and do some useless weird stuff I just want to be myself. So tomorrow starts my day without them.
for the last 3 months who now says he is ADHD and the want to put him on Vyvanse. I just want to hear what anyone has to say about it and if they have a child with ADHD or similar behaviors please share. I have not started the meds but suppose to start tomorrow. The behavior at school has to stop he is getting behavioral forms sent home everyday. I dont know what else to do!
My son has been on vyvanse for 4 months now, he is having horrible side effects, to the point where you can't reason with him. We need to get him off this terrible drug before it kills him. You can't just stop taking it because, so how do we get him off this drug?
To make a long story short. I haven't taken vyvanse for 3 months but have consistent chest pain which started when taking the drug. my blood pressure did go up when taking the drug so i was put on atenolol. I had since discontinued the drug (about 3 months ago) but the side effects continue . I have 24/7 tight chest. Anyone with similar experience, recommendations, etc?
I recently had to switch my add meds from adderall xr to vyvanse and I am on day 2 and I feel like I havnt taken anything. I am extremely tired, have anxiety with everything going on around me at once, and I cant concentrate at all, I walked around my kitchen for 15 minutes not knowing why i wass but knew there was a reason then finally got my car keys that i was needing to get in the first place. Is this normal?
I am currently taking 80 mg of vyvanse which includes a 20mg capsule and a 60 mg capsule of vyvanse , I also take 300mg Wellbutrin. My therapist prescribed me intuniv xr 1mg for the first week and 2mg for the second and third week . My question is should I take all 3 medications AT&T once? Is it safe , also I work out every day essentially cardio, can I still run as hard as I did before adding intuniv into my daily mediation?
1) Prozac (generic) 40 mg daily 2) Wellbrutrin XL (generic) 450 mg daily 3) Vyvanse 50 mg daily (before Vyvnase, had been Other non anti-depressants : Lipitor 10 mg three times a week Trazodone 100 mg for sleep Approximately 4 weeks ago, I decided to try acupuncture for treating increased non-specific tremors in my left hand. Overall, I had 9 treatments.
How can I be having withdrawal now when I ever did before? Is it piggybacking off the withdrawal I felt from the ADD drugs? How can I feel better? I feel like my arms and legs are being slightly electrocuted constantly. Not enough to hurt right away but after that dull pain for hours and hours, I'm losing my mind.
Hi Everyone, I know im a rare person who actually gained weight on geodon and not seroquel. Im also on Vyvanse during the day for my add which is a godson combined with seroquel. So that is why i was able to control my eating and also so im alert during the day. My main issue was the binge eating at night when i was on geodon and seroquel. Ive been on geodon for 10 years and eventually was On such a low dose 40 mg that I just quit cold turkey.

I used lortab for many more years than you and they became my personality so i am going to have to find myself so i know how you feel. i do not enjoy anything right now 3-days w/d. i just pray that we can find ourself, and not go back to using. tired of trying to "find" the pills and living a lie. with u i am. you are not alone!!
I'm having withdrawal symptoms I didn't expect. Light headedness, the runs, blood pressure going up, and general fatigue. Lots of fatigue. And some irritability. I am hoping that these symptoms begin to decrease soon. Well, they have gotten better than it was in the first 2 days. I am still wondering how long I can expect to have these side effects of withdrawal?
The week on it must have helped relax the muscles because only my neck has slightly increased pain. I have no withdrawal symptoms and my energy level is good (took 210mg of Vyvanse) despite no sleep last night - and I mean that I didn't sleep for a moment. It's also Friday WOOOHOOOO! No work this weekend. I actually get to spend time with my family.
Last Wednesday I went to a psychiatrist and he put me on 200mg Lamictal/pm, 100mg Lamictal/am, 1mg Intuniv/pm, 20mg Geodon/pm, 10mg Ambien/pm, 40mg Vyvanse/am, 5mg Focalin/am, and 10mg Focalin/pm. Prior to this I was not taking any medications. Things seemed okay for the first three days and then I started to have attacks of high blood pressure (166/90), tachychardia (140 bpm at rest) and severe chest pain.
At that time I was visiting a psychiatrist for the pain med abuse and he put me on Vyvanse for ADHD. I may have mild ADHD, but it is manageable and I really don't need meds for it, but thought it would help with the pain med abuse and just listened to the doc. Since starting the Vyvanse I now realize that it is just as addictive and habit forming as the pain meds for me. I took it correctly for maybe a month if that (started on it in Jan of this year).
Different states have their own laws regarding the use of stimulants; there is a relatively new ADD medication called 'Vyvanse' that is virtually impossible to abuse, and that provides a very smooth 14 hours of effect... the medication can greatly reduce, or eliminate, the fatigue associated with withdrawal.
I found that I need less caffeine than before I started taking Vyvanse. Vyvanse does a much better job than caffeine, so I drink less coffee, espresso, etc and rely on the medication. I feel better, too. I don't suggest dropping caffeine all at once...the withdrawal is a drag.
Please help. I have been taking Narco for 3 years 5-7 a day for 3 years and Vyvanse for almost a year. I have only take 2 narco in he last 4 days and no Vyvance . Can I just stop cold turkey. My husband is keeping me physically active. I'm irritable, hot and cold. I need direction.
Last June I had a breakdown and I was out of state a a physician I went to put me on seroquel, lexapro, and vyvanse....along with my klonopin. This seemed to be working, then he added Adderall and I was amazed at this. I felt "normal" for the first time in 30 years. I could think straight, and as time has gone by the depression has gone. I take 30 mg of this a day. Recently, since the insurance said they would not pay for Vyvanse and Adderall the Dr.
I actually have add and haven't been taking my meds cus I want to wait till this withdrawal is completely over with. I take vyvanse it's similar to adderall I dunno if I should start taking it again.will it make things worse?
They drug you up with xanax and clonidine and other things after which makes it worse in my opinion. They also gave me vyvanse and told me i was adhd, which i am not. The vyvanse was basically like giving cocaine to an addict and they just sent me on my way. I was still in active withdrawal which i didnt realize and i relapse quite quickly. I am sure there are many people that stayed sober, but i just wanted to share my experience with you.
Nothing is wrong is me, I need to Diet. Because I had stopped taking the Vyvanse/adderall (Was on for my ADD and gotten down to 155lb) because it wasn't doing anything I have gained weight and I'm now back up to 192lbs which I gained back between 1st of July and November. My allergies have also come back full tilt and allergy shots still haven't been doing a lot for me. Eyes worse, sight gets blurry suddenly then comes back.
My history of addiction has made it exceedingly difficult to find a solution for my issues. The only drugs that have helped me so far have become addictions, & the other (non-addictive) drugs I have tried have either made my problems worse, or done nothing at all.
Ryannn94, First of all, I am very sorry to hear that you are having such a difficult time; not only medically but with your friends, school, and stresses of everything else. I can surely sympathize with you and remember the confusion, frustration, and anger of emotions I felt trying to sort through everything. PLEASE HANG IN THERE!!!! First, some kinda good news: I have experience with the medications you are taking. I take them both now and have for a long time.
One week ago a psychiatrist put me on 300mg Lamictal pm (without titration), 20mg Geodon pm, 1mg Intuniv pm, 10mg Ambien pm, 15mg Focalin am, and 40mg Vyvanse am for ADHD and bipolar. Prior this regimen I wasn't on any medications. Today I had to call an amulance as my resting pulse shot up to 140bpm and my blood pressure went up to 166/90. I thought I was going to die. As well, my lymph nodes are swollen and a bleeding rash has started to form on my hand.
