I think you are saying that when your kids are on vyvanse they don't want to eat. But I don't understand the last part. When it wears off they act like ---what?

As someone who has struggled with food addiction and weight my entire life it was an unexpected miracle that Vyvanse COMPLETELY rid me of my food compulsion...I have to remind myself to eat? Can anyone calm me down? Confirm my fears? suggest something else?

I am going to go off Vyvanse due to severe anxiety when crash hits. No dose seemed to fit for me. But, I lost the weight I was needing to lose (20 lbs) and if I go off Vyvanse, will it come back on with a vengance? I have heard hunger just is out of control when stopping this drug. t know if it will ever go away, but my 16 year old son has been on Vyvanse for 4 years and last year was diagnosed with OCD after taking him off for the summer for a drug break. He also started to have some major anxiety where he will go in his room and cry (loudly). I am now trying to wean him off after he started having chest pains and his left arm went numb. t really help with the food Issue. Oh, you could try Concerta which is another stim med but not quite as powerful and doesn't last as long. Sometimes I take dextroamph without vyvanse, sometimes I take one dex with vyvanse. What I am doing basically is experimenting the best dosage and combination. But I did not overdose. She was started out on Vyvanse 30 mg then increased to 40 mg. We did not see any improvement with her symptoms, although she lost 10 pounds in 6 weeks and she was already thin. We switched to Adderal XR 20 mg, and have gone to up 25 mg, still no results. Anyone have any advice?

The problem is that my doc prescribed me 60 30mg capsules so im trying to figure out how many 30 mg capsules is 70 mg vyvanse which i know that a 30mg vyvanse is 10mg adderall and 70 mg vyvanse is 30mg adderall.Is 7 30mg vyvanse capsules 70mg dose .I switched from taking 30mg adderall twice a day im going to have to call doc tommorroww.Any help in figuring this out .Thank you Im trying to get 70 mg vyvanse out of these 30mg capsules 1 70 mg or 1 60 is the right dose for me.

We just have to get past the side effects. I will discuss with his Psychiatrist giving him the Vyvanse with milk, Mylanta or Malox. Give him the Clonodine at night which knocks him out. He is asleep 30 minutes to 45 minutes after taking it. It just makes him harder to get up in the morning. I just talked to a friend who said I should get a script for the Vyvanse toget him through the state test and try the Quillivant during Spring Break sinceI took vacation to stay home with him.

I am not addressing drug addiction — just what my doctor says is a common prescribing practice with Vyvanse.

Just a couple of months ago I was diagnosed ADHD, and Vyvanse was prescribed, along with clonidin. I have to really watch my blood pressure now, because if I miss taking the atenenol, my blood pressure will shoot up over 160 really quick. Is there any solution for people with 2 conditions like this where the medication for one condition diametrically opposes the medication for the second condition ? Would some other blood pressure medication work better than a beta blocker ?

Vyvanse because according to your post about changing from Adderall to Vyvanse, it seems that you are much happier with the outcome. If Vyvanse is as smooth as you say, then I would definitely consider consulting with my Dr. at next checkup.

My son who is 9 yrs old has started Vyvanse since January of this year. He is currently on about 25 mg of Vyvanse. The only thing that I don't like about it is that it takes a long time to kick in, like about 2.5 hours for my son. So often in the morning he will seem unfocused so will not do well during early 8am test. Hello my name is John and was wondering if anyone can share experiences with Vyvanse. I started Vyvanse 3 months ago and my Doctor started me on a low dose and slowly upped the dose to 50 mg which worked great for me, but I wanted to see if 60 mg would benefit me more. I tried it for 2 weeks and it was definitely too much, it made me very up tight and not myself. So I went back down to 50 mg and now it seems if the 50 mg doesn't work as good as before. My daughter taking vyvanse several months ago. I believe she is abusing the drug. How would she even do that? The pill is a 50mg capsule, now yes it can be opened and it does contain powder inside. I was perscribed my starting dose just monday.. (it's Wednesday now) and started at 20mg Sunday I move to 40. I only got 6 20mg tablets. And first day I felt sooo high like I was on cocaine for about 3-4 hours. The 2nd day,(yesterday) I ended up taking a 2nd 29mg 2 hours after my first one.
