I know what you mean when you refer to Adderall as "that nasty, gross stimulant." I have been taking a total of 30 mg Adderall for about 6 mths now. It works great during the day, and has changed my life tremendously. I am able to complete the 200 projects that I start on everyday. But insomnia has made me it's ***** at night! If I could guess what a crack head feels like when coming down, the Adderall "comedown" would compare to it.
Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, not sure why he has chosen the "booster" vs a larger vyvanse dose. I guess I should ask him at the next appt.

I started Vyvanse back in August 2010, and it was the miracle that I've been searching for. Over a span of 4 years, I've taken stimulants including: Concerta, 30mg Adderall IR, and 30mg Adderall XR. Concerta gave me migraines. Adderall XR completely sucked. Adderall IR was the best medication that I found until Vyvanse. Now I think Adderall is horrible in comparison.
I've been taking 30mg of Vyvanse for a few months now.
Adderall 10 mg = Vyvanse 30 mg, Adderall 20 mg = Vyvanse 50 mg, Adderall 30 mg = Vyvanse 70 mg. I always start lower than expected with a change to Vyvanse, as for about 10-15% that anticipated dose of Vyvanse proves too much. I don’t want folks on my watch to experience 10% problems."

I have a real sensitive stomach and immune system, and am allergic to a lot so I would think that you can handle most of these. The best working were the Daytrana, Adderall XR, and Vyvanse, and the Adderall you are taking may be different than what I take(XR) The other Adderall hurt my stomach and made me sick if I didn't eat, but I have no problem with the XR.
The problem is that my doc prescribed me 60 30mg capsules so im trying to figure out how many 30 mg capsules is 70 mg vyvanse which i know that a 30mg vyvanse is 10mg adderall and 70 mg vyvanse is 30mg adderall.Is 7 30mg vyvanse capsules 70mg dose .I switched from taking 30mg adderall twice a day im going to have to call doc tommorroww.Any help in figuring this out .Thank you Im trying to get 70 mg vyvanse out of these 30mg capsules 1 70 mg or 1 60 is the right dose for me.
I recently had to switch my add meds from adderall xr to vyvanse and I am on day 2 and I feel like I havnt taken anything. I am extremely tired, have anxiety with everything going on around me at once, and I cant concentrate at all, I walked around my kitchen for 15 minutes not knowing why i wass but knew there was a reason then finally got my car keys that i was needing to get in the first place. Is this normal?
to abuse her vyvanse but I think she also doing adderall and getting it off the streets (from friends she may know or known drug dealers). I can just see a big difference in her behavior. I also heard her talking to a friend on her cell phone (she did NOT know I was listening) about adderall in general. What forms do people use to abuse Adderall. Do they take to many? Do the crush them up and eat them? Do they crush them up and possibly snort them?
I just wanted to follow up and update you on what I ended up doing. I made an appointment with a psychiatrist and went to see him. I filled out all sorts of paperwork before going in to see him. I told him everything. I told him how long I had been taking adderall and how I felt about it. He diagnosed me with adult adhd and started me on 70mg vyvanse once a day. The vyvanse works alright but my brain feels foggy, I don't think it is for me.
gave me Wellbutrin and it produced none of the side effects you mention except decreased cravings for caffeine and sweets. Our pharmacist said vyvanse is a lot like adderall; he said everyone seems to be using it who would have previously been on adderall. It is very trendy right now. But I do not think it would help with anxiety at all, and I would guess anxiety might be causing your heart rate to be rapid.
The Wellbutrin is a stimulating anti-depressant.
I received a letter in the mail b/c I take Adderall XR, which is made by the same Pharm Co as Vyvanse, Shire Pharmecueticals. It was just a notice saying that Vyvanse has been approved for adult use. I see my psychiatrist in a little over a week for a prescription refill and I am going to ask if he'll switch me. He knows that Vyvanse is the one that worked best for me. The great thing for me since I am not working, Shire also has a pt. assistance program.

I find it very hard to believe that when Phentermine use is containdicated in those who are taking amphetamine (i.e. Adderall) that your doctor would say that they would not interact.
And Topamax is prescribed for antipsychotic-induced weight gain.
I started to try different doses of Vyvanse and Adderall, starting at 10mg Vyvanse and going up to 50mg, and starting at 5mg Adderall (IR) and increasing to 10, at most, 4x a day. All of these medications seemed to increase my depressive symptoms, and since I wasn't really retaining much or cognizant of how I was doing, I ended up going three weeks without touching my homework, going to class or talking to my friends.
so I talked to my doctor about it,and man what a difference in down from 16mg suboxone to 8mg after starting the vyvanse,at first I never thought I would ever come off suboxone.next month going to 4mg and so on until I'm off.the best thing about it is I don't hold my vyvanse so I can't abuse.laugh if you want but Dr brought my mom in made her sign contract that she would bring it too me every morning,I also had to sign for drug test .but it has been well worth it.
I highly prefer Vyvanse over adderall because I do not suffer from side effects w/Vyvanse as with the adderall. The Vyvanse is much smoother than most all other adhd drugs. I have never experienced shortness of breath while taking Vyvanse, however, I am 25 years old and 180lbs. I am also a Registered Nurse. I would imagine that these annoying side effects will eventually subside with continued therapy w/Vyvanse. Give it 2-3 weeks becaue his tolerance needs to build up first.
I was recently put on adderall to help combat some of the excessive fatigue and trouble focusing I'm having related to my disease and medications. The doc choose this med over provigil because of cost.
Does anyone have experience with taking either of these for excessive fatigue or focusing issues? I'd just like to know how it worked for you.
My daughter was on Adderall for several years, she developed acne that was severe as well, when I took her to her dermatoligist he was aware that many of his patients had been experiencing the same problem, so he took my daughter off the adderall and put her on a new medication called Vyvanse, since then she has been acne free, good luck and I hope this helps, by the way my daughter is 17.
