I'm on 30 mg of Vyvanse by 4 pm or so I am EXTEREMLY tired. Should I take 2 instead of 1?
I'm 16 years old, male, 6'3", 185 lbs. I have been prescribed Vyvanse to treat my ADD symptoms for about two years (currently at 70mg), and the results have been amazing. I have maintained a 4.0 GPA or higher in every grading period so far in my highschool career. But, I have recently noticed that I often get dizzy while doing cardio workouts, and a dangerously high heart rate. However, I'm in no means out of shape, and am extremely ripped.
he refered me to a psych. my psych told me that vyvanse would help my add and my depression. he started me on 30mg and had to move me up to 50mg after 2 weeks because it was wearing off half way through the day and i would get extremely tired. when i first started taking the drug i noticed that i was more clear headed and driven through the day. at the same time i noticed that my appetite had decressed,my throat stayed dry and i was having trouble falling asleep.
Ok, I have vyvanse 70 mg tablets. Currently I have been on them for 3 days alotogether. I take the pill when i want to, I've takin 3 pills in one week. My first quesiton (1. Is it safe to take vyvanse when needed? If not what are the harms of it and is it very severe or no?. (2. MY BIG CONCERN. Its a love hate situation for me so far, i love what it does, the concentrating, the happy mood, love it! But I'm having awful side effects. The first day i had none.
i have taken vyvanse, and adderall (unprescribed) on a couple of occasions to help me with my school work, but this afternoon i had one of the worst experiences of my life. i had purchased a 70 mg vyvanse pill, took 1/4 of it yesterday and the other 3/4 this morning, so today i was on about 50 mg.

My 11 yr old son has been taking 6 mg of Intuniv and 60 mg of Vyvanse daily for about 4 years. This combo has successfully managed his ADHD. He is on the smaller side height wise and we asked our Dr. about taking a med break this summer. He agreed and said to discontinue the Vyvanse but continue the Intuniv which we did on Friday. Since then my son has been constantly tired and ravenously hungry.
I am a 19 year old male who just started college. I started taking vyvanse since the beginning of August. It has helped alot with my focus and concentration but I get jitters, I have become socially awkward, my anxiety and depression has increased, and the crash I get from it gives me horrible headaches. The crash also makes me not want to be socially active. What should I do? and are there any other good ADHD meds that I should talk to my doctor about?
I tried welbutrin and it knocked me out, provigil did the same. I've been on the new Vyvanse for a few weeks now and it is too good to be true. I feel like the person I always wanted to be: Alert, funny, not compulsive with food But now the fears begin. I'm terrified and obsessed with the idea that this is a honeymoon period and it will all wear off. I constantly search the boards for a confirmation of this fear.
I'm a 40 year old male. I took Concerta 27mg about a month ago and felt slightly more caffeinated than a cup of coffee and no "focused-attentional" effects. Now I am on Vyvanse 30mg with similar results, a slight perception that my attention is more focused and less distracted, but I'm not positive about that. When I go off the meds I get tired and have crazy lucid dreams. I either want a med that works or get off completely.
I am going to be stopping vyvanse tomorrow after taking/abusing it for a month and a half to two months the last refill was for 50mg and most days I would take 2. I have some wellbutrin that might help. I would appreciate any suggestions/thoughts you might have. I had about 4 or 5 days off a week or so ago between waiting on my refill and I was very lethargic. I did not have any wellbutrin then.
I started feeling tired later in the day and cranky, so I asked my doctor to switch me to Vyvanse and did. Since taking Vyvanse, when I watch anime I can tell that I enjoy the story, but I just don't feel excited. I have felt a persistent headache for 3 days now (been on vyvanse for about a week) and I feel pedestrian at all times. I can't find the desire to watch television or go out, or even play any games.
old ffemale who was put on Vyanse to help with my focus and concentration.I have been on Vyvanse for 1 1/2 months. The original dose wa 30mg. but I didn't see a difference so I was upped to 70mg. 2 weeks ago. The past week I have felt very unmotivated to do anything. I don't even want to talk to my friends, I just feel like being alone all the time. This is partially what I went on the drug to get rid of but it's making it worse.
5 XR until recently and the dr has recommended Vyvanse. Has anyone used this product on a child this young. I have read some side effects and it is scaring me a little.
I am a fifteen year old, and I am writing this because I need some advice. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Just a little while ago, I felt as if I was in a thick, tired fog, making it extremely difficult to type. My eyes didn't look right, and I was feeling off-balance. My heart was racing. I randomly had strange "fuzzy" sensations on my skin. I was sensitive to, and irritated by, a lot of normal, everyday things. I felt like a zombie and I couldn't think straight.
I recently had to switch my add meds from adderall xr to vyvanse and I am on day 2 and I feel like I havnt taken anything. I am extremely tired, have anxiety with everything going on around me at once, and I cant concentrate at all, I walked around my kitchen for 15 minutes not knowing why i wass but knew there was a reason then finally got my car keys that i was needing to get in the first place. Is this normal?
Adderall 10 mg = Vyvanse 30 mg, Adderall 20 mg = Vyvanse 50 mg, Adderall 30 mg = Vyvanse 70 mg. I always start lower than expected with a change to Vyvanse, as for about 10-15% that anticipated dose of Vyvanse proves too much. I don’t want folks on my watch to experience 10% problems." I would also check the comments in the above link and some of them might apply to you. the link is - http://www.corepsych.
00PM as I was so tired. I was extremely tired all day long and got nothing done at work. However, I hadn't fallen asleep by 10:30PM. So, I got up and played on the computer until I felt tired. I went to bed at 1:30AM and fell asleep quickly. I woke up at 6:30AM and felt fairly refreshed. The Vyvanse was of little help during the day but seemed to keep me awake at night. Wierd, eh?
Hi Doc, I'm tired all the time and practically a person that is always in shambles. I'm 41 yrs old and diagnosed with ADHD because of my symptoms. I was prescribed Vyvanse. I took 20mg today but it put me to sleep. I was wondering if there was a possibility of me having thyroid problems because of this effect the Vyvanse had on me? I thought i was going to be focused and energized. Can you please let me know if this is the effect Vyvanse does to people with thyroid problems? Thank you.
I don't like taking alot of meds but right now i take armour thyroid, cymbalta, eemt for hormones, a multviamin with iron, an adrenal supplement, vyvanse, calcium, potassium and Vitamin D3. I just had to change insurance companies and my Primary Care Physician is not in network, so I'm probably going to have to find a new physician. I do see a psychiatrist to manage my cymbalta and vyvanse.
My husband took Vyvanse for 14 months for adult ADHD. It worked for the first few months and he was able to do a lot of projects around the house that he never would have done before; I was impressed. Then, I noticed he became short-tempered and irritated very easily, which eventually turned into full-blown aggression. We did not associate this with the drug so he kept taking it. Then we moved and he decided not to get his Rx refilled by a new Dr....
Two toddlers and desperately need sleep. Is it safe to take unisom u On top of the vyvanse? I don't want to OD but I'm tired.
I have been switched from Cymbalta (weight gain) to Fetzima (weight loss) and additionally 50mg of Vyvanse for adult ADD. My symptoms of depression have subsided. I do not notice any huge difference in my attention span and still feel distracted when reading, unable to focus. I also feel tired and appear to crash about every afternoon regardless of when I take the medication, which is in the morning.
I would venture to guess that the weed/Vyvanse combo set something off. I've smoked my fair share in the past and absolutely cannot on Vyvanse or similar drugs. My brother in-law had a similar experience when he was about 16/17. He mixed many drugs and his brain sort of snapped. He has a family history of bi-polar. Some people have a genetic disposition for disorders and they lay dormant until something activates it, like a weed/meth combo. I know you are scared.
My sleep continues a pattern of one night of good sleep followed by one night of terrible insomnia. I have never experienced this until I went to 210mg of Vyvanse. 140mg is not enough to stay awake through the day. With 210mg, I feel tired by 8:00PM but still can't sleep if I slept well the night before. I will talk to the doctor today about adjusting the level slightly lower.
i am so incredibly tired I am almost non-functional. I stopped taking my vyvanse (diagnosed ADD at 40) because it was making me shake so bad after several years of taking it with no problem. I have switched to a different stimulant that is short acting--it works sort of----I take soma and norco with 1/2 of a caffeine pill for pain--in the past, taking my meds used to actually hype me up for about 1/2 hour--but now I just feel like I am dragging.
ive experimented with 6 hours, 7, 10 and ive found that im never tired due to too much sleep or too little. i have lots of headaches, i think they are from being tired. I also use the bathroom a lot. sometimes diarrehea and other times im just having to pee a lot. I dont drink to much caffeine and i drink a reasonable amount of water each day. im about 5'9'' and i weight roughly 186 pounds. Im not sure if thats overweight or not, and if its a contributing factor.
I work full time plus mandatory overtime at a computer all day and have an hour commute each way. I take vyvanse. 213 lbs. 5ft 5in. The amphetamine in the vyvanse makes me crave nicotine. So, unfortunately smoke about a pack every 3 days. For the last couple of years I've been experiencing these symptoms. In fact, went to the er in 2012 because I thought I was having a heart attack. Ct scan okay. Echo - okay but tachycardia.
