I'm not sure if this is in the right place, but i need help so i'm going to ask it. i am 18 years old & have been taking vyvanse for about a month now. i slowly increased my dosage and i am up to 30mg currently. i'm starting to realize i am becoming depressed and i'm always in a bad mood, especially for the passed 3 days. friday, i smoked a very large amount of marijuana and took an ecstasy pill.

Hi! I've been slowly upping my Vyvanse dose & am currently taking 50mg every morning. I've noticed I can easily take a nap any time of day (similar to before Vyvanse) does this mean my dose is still to low?

The problem is that my doc prescribed me 60 30mg capsules so im trying to figure out how many 30 mg capsules is 70 mg vyvanse which i know that a 30mg vyvanse is 10mg adderall and 70 mg vyvanse is 30mg adderall.Is 7 30mg vyvanse capsules 70mg dose .I switched from taking 30mg adderall twice a day im going to have to call doc tommorroww.Any help in figuring this out .Thank you Im trying to get 70 mg vyvanse out of these 30mg capsules 1 70 mg or 1 60 is the right dose for me.

I was perscribed my starting dose just monday.. (it's Wednesday now) and started at 20mg Sunday I move to 40. I only got 6 20mg tablets. And first day I felt sooo high like I was on cocaine for about 3-4 hours. The 2nd day,(yesterday) I ended up taking a 2nd 29mg 2 hours after my first one. And I took my 29mg morning dose 2.5 hours ago and I already am trying to justify taking another (to myself) Crazy.

The last thing you want to do is to take more vyvanse if that is the case. Vyvanse is usually only taken once per day as it lasts 8 to 12 hours. Call your doctor immediately and find out what is going on. And double check your dosing directions! With some other types of stim meds these dosing methods would make sense, but not vyvanse.

My doc prescribed me 70mg Vyvanse, to compare with my Adderall dose previously prescribed. When feeling the effects of Vyvanse it is truly a saving grace and I really feel "limitless". I think clear, I don't feel over stimulated or the out of body experience like other ADHD drugs. I'm in an industry that I must utilize critical problem solving skills, think extremely creative and relay high end technical knowledge to CIO's and executives on a daily basis.

Personally, I'm on Vyvanse at 60mg daily, plus a lunch and dinner dose of methylphenidate at 5mg each. Although I've tried so many different ADD medications and doses before ending up where I am, I agree that Vyvanse does take a while to kick in. Not everyone is the same, so if Adderall works better for you it's not very shocking.

Hello my name is John and was wondering if anyone can share experiences with Vyvanse. I started Vyvanse 3 months ago and my Doctor started me on a low dose and slowly upped the dose to 50 mg which worked great for me, but I wanted to see if 60 mg would benefit me more. I tried it for 2 weeks and it was definitely too much, it made me very up tight and not myself. So I went back down to 50 mg and now it seems if the 50 mg doesn't work as good as before. Has anyone experienced this?

Or perhaps you have too high of a vyvanse dose?

im on the highest dosage of vyvanse and its supposed to last longer than addorall but it seems to be working less and less...is that possible?? im sick of insurance not paying for this medication yet not getting any other substantial benifit from vyvanse, anyone else experience a increased tolerence to any add meds?

And you are showing a few other symptoms of an overdose. It is possible that you actually need to lower your dose of Vyvanse. Did you start out at 40? Also, don't take any citric acid products with your pill - like orange juice. Do have a high protein breakfast (it will really help). Are you swallowing the pill or ? Overall, if you started out at 40mgs, I would try lowering the dose before upping the dose.

I also read where doctors are prescribing up to 210mg of Vyvanse. The most common high dose is 140mg. This is called Off Label Prescribing. Does anyone here take over 70mg of Vyvanse? If so, how long does it last? I actually called Shire this past weekend and made a product complaint. I told the rep that my meds were wearing off after 4-5 hours & asked if it was possible to get my doctor to write for more than 70mg.

Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. Skip the missed dose if it is almost time for your next scheduled dose, or if it is already evening. Taking this medicine late in the day can cause sleep problems. Do not take extra medicine to make up the missed dose.

You should not really get too distracted while on the Vyvanse. Possibly your dose might need adjusting? The Vyvanse should last you about 10 hours. You might find that fidgeting works to help with the distractions. I'm taking Vyvanse and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't work at all. Sometimes I just want to sleep all day and never feel the effects of increased focus, motivation, interest, and energy. I believe that is normal, however you might be on too high of a dose. Everyone is different. Vyvanse works wonders for some people and other people just hate it. So you might want to talk to your doctor about adjusting your dose or switching do a different medication. I learned the hard way that adjusting medications (especially for adhd) is NOT a quick process. It takes time, so just try to be patient and eventually you'll get it right.

I am going to go off Vyvanse due to severe anxiety when crash hits. No dose seemed to fit for me. But, I lost the weight I was needing to lose (20 lbs) and if I go off Vyvanse, will it come back on with a vengance? I have heard hunger just is out of control when stopping this drug. So I am afraid to stay on it and I am afraid to go off it.
