(All 40mg) took one about 27 hours ago, 25 hours ago and 17 hours ago (didnt sleep one bit last night)and now I can't sleep and am extremely nauseated and have vomited twice. How long until I can take other meds (in case the vomiting doesn't stop by tomorrow) such as promethazine or emetrol? Because I read that promethazine and vyvanse makes the vomiting a lot worse..so plz help me...I'm gonna go puke again...

I have never taken a pill like this before. Realizing I could possibly overdose and maybe die or even to get high... I took 3, 60mg Vyvanse capsules. I popped them at about 10:20 PM.. later in the night, I started to have a faster heart beat, having a hard time breathing, I was dizzy, my pupils were very big, I was panicking all night, my depression and anxiety only seemed to get worse, my forearms and legs started to hurt.

And you are showing a few other symptoms of an overdose. It is possible that you actually need to lower your dose of Vyvanse. Did you start out at 40? Also, don't take any citric acid products with your pill - like orange juice. Do have a high protein breakfast (it will really help). Are you swallowing the pill or ? Overall, if you started out at 40mgs, I would try lowering the dose before upping the dose.

Vyvanse is just another amphetamine. All speed, or speed-like products, will produce the symptoms you had, if taken in overdose. If you have that reaction with a normal dose, then you probably do not have ADD.

The second time this happened I had drank 2 monster energy drinks the night/mourning before. I would not think that just that combined with my 60 milligrams of Vyvanse would be enough to cause this, but you never know.

we have tried several meds. currently he is on 50 mg of vyvanse, 40 mg of citalopram and 2mg of abilify a day. his behavior is beyond horrible. should i just take him off meds?

I am 19 years old and i am proscribed 50 mg vyvanse pills. In the past 24 hours I have taken 10 pill all together. I have not slept nor thought about going to sleep. My 20 year old son recently gradually weaned off 60 mg/day Vyvanse so that he can join the Marines (must be off for 1 year - military rules). He is having a very rough time. Extreme fatigue, totally unmotivated, extreme focus issues. He says he feels like a totally different person off totally off the med. Appetite is high too but he knows how to control that. I took a 70 mg vyvanse capsule by dissolving the powder in a water bottle and drinking it about 1.5 months ago. I do not have ADHD, I took it to help me prepare for my exams and the SAT. There is no need for him to cease using the prescribed vyvanse but do take care of the other addictions. Vyvanse wont be prompting the use of them, but if not taken care of he will prompt the use of them.
