I have never taken a pill like this before. Realizing I could possibly overdose and maybe die or even to get high... I took 3, 60mg Vyvanse capsules. I popped them at about 10:20 PM.. later in the night, I started to have a faster heart beat, having a hard time breathing, I was dizzy, my pupils were very big, I was panicking all night, my depression and anxiety only seemed to get worse, my forearms and legs started to hurt.
(All 40mg) took one about 27 hours ago, 25 hours ago and 17 hours ago (didnt sleep one bit last night)and now I can't sleep and am extremely nauseated and have vomited twice. How long until I can take other meds (in case the vomiting doesn't stop by tomorrow) such as promethazine or emetrol? Because I read that promethazine and vyvanse makes the vomiting a lot worse..so plz help me...I'm gonna go puke again...
Sometimes I take dextroamph without vyvanse, sometimes I take one dex with vyvanse. What I am doing basically is experimenting the best dosage and combination. But I did not overdose. I measured my blood pressure just a moiment ago and it was 128/85 pulses: 91)
Also: my doctor changed my Wellbutrin dosage from 100 SR once a day to 100 SR twice a day.
And you are showing a few other symptoms of an overdose. It is possible that you actually need to lower your dose of Vyvanse. Did you start out at 40?
Also, don't take any citric acid products with your pill - like orange juice. Do have a high protein breakfast (it will really help).
Are you swallowing the pill or ?
Overall, if you started out at 40mgs, I would try lowering the dose before upping the dose.
Vyvanse is just another amphetamine. All speed, or speed-like products, will produce the symptoms you had, if taken in overdose. If you have that reaction with a normal dose, then you probably do not have ADD.
The second time this happened I had drank 2 monster energy drinks the night/mourning before. I would not think that just that combined with my 60 milligrams of Vyvanse would be enough to cause this, but you never know.
I am 19 years old and i am proscribed 50 mg vyvanse pills. In the past 24 hours I have taken 10 pill all together. I have not slept nor thought about going to sleep. I had a break down at work and started crying very hard for no reason. When I get up to do anything my vision goes away and i lose my hearing and all i hear is ringing.. I took a 70 mg vyvanse capsule by dissolving the powder in a water bottle and drinking it about 1.5 months ago. I do not have ADHD, I took it to help me prepare for my exams and the SAT. I'm 16 years old. My body weight is 180 pounds and my height is 6 feet. So is it normal for dry mouth to last this long? My son has been takiing this med Vyvanse for adhd, so I decided to take it to see if it would help me with my depression and anxiety, and it worked great, I didn't have any side effect to it. This is why I ask if its okay to take Vyvanse for my anxiety, right now I'm taking celexa but its not doing nothing for me anymore. I've been taking Celexa for the past 3 yrs and I think its time for me to change my meds.
im on the highest dosage of vyvanse and its supposed to last longer than addorall but it seems to be working less and less...is that possible?? im sick of insurance not paying for this medication yet not getting any other substantial benifit from vyvanse, anyone else experience a increased tolerence to any add meds?

If you have ADHD and a prescription - no worries even if it does show up. If you don't ....then this search showed that, "Vyvanse is detectable in urine up to 3 days after ingesting Vyvanse. Vyvanse is detectable in hair samples for months after ingestion. Though Vyvanse itself only stays in your system four hours post-ingestion, the active drug d-amphetamine stays in your system for 40 hours.
Just a couple of months ago I was diagnosed ADHD, and Vyvanse was prescribed, along with clonidin. I have to really watch my blood pressure now, because if I miss taking the atenenol, my blood pressure will shoot up over 160 really quick.
Is there any solution for people with 2 conditions like this where the medication for one condition diametrically opposes
the medication for the second condition ?
Would some other blood pressure medication work better than a beta blocker ?
My daughter taking vyvanse several months ago. I believe she is abusing the drug. How would she even do that? The pill is a 50mg capsule, now yes it can be opened and it does contain powder inside. But can you really abuse this medication and please explain to me how you would even abuse this medication?
My son who is 9 yrs old has started Vyvanse since January of this year. He is currently on about 25 mg of Vyvanse. The only thing that I don't like about it is that it takes a long time to kick in, like about 2.5 hours for my son. So often in the morning he will seem unfocused so will not do well during early 8am test. His doctor and I discussed trying Ritalin first in the morning and then adding Vyvanse, which is the reverse of what many people do.
I am really sensitive to medications. Adderall was like what I imagine taking crystal methamphetamine feels like. At least I felt like how those people looked.

But he promised me that the issues I was having with feeling ill, insomnia, and no appitite would lessen on Vyvanse. And that the nasty, gross stimulant feeling I got from Adderall would go away.

I started Vyvanse back in August 2010, and it was the miracle that I've been searching for. Over a span of 4 years, I've taken stimulants including: Concerta, 30mg Adderall IR, and 30mg Adderall XR. Concerta gave me migraines. Adderall XR completely sucked. Adderall IR was the best medication that I found until Vyvanse. Now I think Adderall is horrible in comparison.
I've been taking 30mg of Vyvanse for a few months now.
