No dose seemed to fit for me. But, I lost the weight I was needing to lose (20 lbs) and if I go off Vyvanse, will it come back on with a vengance? I have heard hunger just is out of control when stopping this drug. So I am afraid to stay on it and I am afraid to go off it.

there are quite a few different medications that can make it difficult to lose weight. Some are notorious for causing weight gain, as well.

Switching to something like Vyvanse which lasts a lot longer might be a more effective (and safer way) to lose weight. He prescribed Vyvanse to take in the morning then before bed I am supposed to take Topamax (migraine medicine) and Trintellix (an antidepressant) as well as a diet. I am taking Vyvanse and Prozac, and I'm having trouble getting myself to eat. I am still in a healthy weight range, so I'm not worried about that. But I've been weak, fatigued, and dizzy at times because I'm not eating enough. Are there any protein shakes I should try, or something like that, so I can be getting the nutrients I need? t had the best appetite for years since i was small even while pregnant with my first. With nothing to lose, I said yes. I do like Vyvanse. It works for me, I am happy, motivated, and just feel more like me. I don't have any side effects from it either. I've not heard of Daytrana before. So that must be a new one as well? Also I used to take Adderall XR and that is a great medicine as well. I just took it for so long that it started to not work and help me the same way anymore.

There is no need for him to cease using the prescribed vyvanse but do take care of the other addictions. Vyvanse wont be prompting the use of them, but if not taken care of he will prompt the use of them.

I started Vyvanse back in August 2010, and it was the miracle that I've been searching for. Over a span of 4 years, I've taken stimulants including: Concerta, 30mg Adderall IR, and 30mg Adderall XR. That is the time you have to be very careful if you want to lose weight. It is not a magic pill. It still is calories in and calories out. Because you should be less hungry during the day, it should be easier to cut down on snacking. Get a good healthy high protein breakfast in the morning. Goodluck on your weight gain journey, it is definitely difficult, especially when everyone around you is telling you that they wished they could lose weight easily as Im desperatly trying to gain a pound. It wont happen over night, but keep showing up for yourself and trying again and again. I believe in you! I recently started taking Vyvanse, which durasticaly improved my grades, but has left me with some side effects that I don't know how to deal with. But, I don't want to have to stop taking Vyvanse. Ever sense I started taking Vyvanse I have been acting a little OCD, having minor headaches, having major mood swings, a decrease of weight and appetite, and several other side effects. Ond of those is that I cant sleep.

I hope not because today was my first day and I was actually awake and not groggy.And will I be able to lose weight?

Hi all, today I obtained a new script for 20mg of Vyvanse (a switch from Adderall XR). I got it filled at CVS, and having read accounts of tampering, I checked out the capsules and noticed their contents are low, and significantly varied. Most of the capsules are only HALF full, and none of them are entirely full. I'll also note that I picked the script up myself, and kept them in a secure place until I opened them.

Sorry to hear this is happening. You sound alot like my son's best friend when he was growing up, he was a larger child, had problems with his weight, but was the most loveable kid there was; he had so many friends and had a sense of humor that was contagious.
