Hello. I have recently been prescribed zoloft and dextroamfetamine (vyvanse). My dose has just been raised to 150 zoloft and 50 vyvanse. I am feeling dizzy, I'm sweating like crazy lying down in a cold room, and I've thrown up a few times since I took the increased dosages earlier today. Occasionally it feels like my heart has butterfly wings too. Am I just having panic attacks? I heard the dex can increase anxiety... I don't have insurance here...

It seems I'm out of luck then; Vyvanse is probably the mildest ADHD (stimulant) drug used; I'm told that Adderall is quite a bit harder on the cardiovascular system. I've tried Straterra, a non-amphetamine drug, but it didn't work.
My blood pressure was 121/76 this morning before taking anything, and that's an average of taking it 4 times over a 30 min time period.
I know he is not abusing the Vyvanse, but can the Vyvanse be increasing his want of the alcohol and the coke? The warnings for the drug say do not take this medicine if you have addiction issues. Is this because it could put you back into the addiction cycle with any drug, or because there is fear of abusing the vyvanse, or both? AND the shrinks should stop being legal drug pushers. I have been in a relationship for 9 years....he faked being ADHD???to get vyvanse from her. How the hell to you do that? And be on Ambian and restoril and Xanax??????? How unethical is that? I went with him to his shrinks office and she took him off the ambian and "dosed" him down on vyvanse...this was last June 2011. He was unwilling to end it entirely by late Nov. I ended it.
These shrinks should have their licenses yanked!
Wellbutrin could be a bit more suitable for you with less side-effects if dopamine and norepinephrine is a problem in your depression/anxiety. Depression often leads to anxiety so yeah maybe when you took Vyvanse you had euphoric effects similar to those with amphetamine ''speed''. The extra dopamine and norepinephrine you produce using this drug is contributing to the well-being feeling, focus and energy.

Sandman2 i also am a mom of two kids and i run out of pills every month and im at my wits end. Im scared to ask my doctor for more but they help me so much!! I dont know what to do my doctor is very conservative.. :( what reasearch did you show? Im meeting her next week. Please i need help. Im on 30mgs twice daily but i beleive my correct dose would be 3 times or 4 times daily of 30mgs, im 35 years old.
Vyvanse maintains a long, steady, consistent blood level all day — advantages over Adderal. But Vyvanse takes three hours to kick in, while it is metabolized in the liver so it has that nice long steady life. On the other hand, Adderol kicks in immediately, and has a short effective life. Perfect fit.
Adderol is like Special Forces who goes in to accomplish a specialized mission, and then leaves.. On the other hand, Vyvanse is the army, does all the heavy lifting and 95% of everything else.
How did your son do on the Vyvanse? Did it help him focus? Was he better behaved and more accepted by his peers? Have his grades plummeted after coming off? If this is the case then coming off the drug has had a big impact on his life and it could cause depression. Any type of stimulant can cause you to be more confident and promote a general feeling of well-being. When you take that away there can be some rebound depression. I would definitely seek counseling for him.
t taken vyvanse for 3 months but have consistent chest pain which started when taking the drug. my blood pressure did go up when taking the drug so i was put on atenolol. I had since discontinued the drug (about 3 months ago) but the side effects continue . I have 24/7 tight chest.

s eating through your system too fast. I have heard other people talk about a lull in the afternoon from Vyvanse. I was on it for quite awhile. If you are having anxiety, it's typically when the stimulant is LEAVING your system when you're ADHD.
The key to treatment with stimulants is to have something to help you come down after getting a good 12-16 hours of coverage. Many times with stimulants, Tenex or Clonidine are added to help the come down and help with side effects.
jerking. In the beginning they blamed the Vyvanse he was taking because it just started happening suddenly after having a rash then cold/flu type symptoms for 3 days. He had been on it a little over a year and had some of the poss. side effects noted. He discussed this with his prescribing dr. and the dr. felt it was prob not the med but, stress. Occas. tightening in chest, clenching his jaws, new OCD symptoms.
Bad when wearing off.and my doc made me sign contract drug test to make sure its there and you might laugh in 36 my mom had to come in and sign that she would bring it too me everyday.if you are worried talk to your doc about deal like that.if you have somebody who will hold you accountable you want have to worry about abusing its working wonders for me.
I don't have a whole lot of experience with the ADHD meds but I know they can possibly mess up your cycle.....why would THC show up if you're only taking Vyvanse? It would show up as an amphetamine on a drug test, but I wouldn't worry if you have a prescription for it, it shouldn't matter if it DOES show up. They don't generally test you for drugs if you go to the hospital for pregnancy unless there's a reason.
Adderall works off the Ph levels and distributes the drug based on the levels throughout the day. Vyvanse is a 12 hour drug as it dissolves in water or fluid in your body. Both are addictive so be careful, Just research has shown that Vyvanse is the least likely to be abused out off the ADD drugs on the market.
we have tried several meds. currently he is on 50 mg of vyvanse, 40 mg of citalopram and 2mg of abilify a day. his behavior is beyond horrible. should i just take him off meds?
My daughter taking vyvanse several months ago. I believe she is abusing the drug. How would she even do that? The pill is a 50mg capsule, now yes it can be opened and it does contain powder inside. But can you really abuse this medication and please explain to me how you would even abuse this medication?
