My last visit the cardiologist actually has my wondering if I need to switch. I had been taking for the first time Coreg generic and I told the dr I was having trouble remembering to take the 2nd dose so was there a BP med that I could take once a day. I will say my blood pressure was very high in the office. I had forgotten my sheet (after a hectic morning) that gave bp readings for the last month. My pb had been good when taken at home which I shared.
I have been on Vyvanse for a while now. And was worried when they doctor said it was very similar to Adderall XR. But he promised me that the issues I was having with feeling ill, insomnia, and no appitite would lessen on Vyvanse. And that the nasty, gross stimulant feeling I got from Adderall would go away.
And he was right about everything and then some. And believe me if there is a side effect to have I will have it.
He prescribed Vyvanse to take in the morning then before bed I am supposed to take Topamax (migraine medicine) and Trintellix (an antidepressant) as well as a diet.
I started on the Vyvanse mostly b/c I also suffer from ADHD and it is really great so far for my attention at work. However I am really leery of taking new meds especially if I do not need them and even so I would like to see how I react to one before taking others on top of it.
Only when Ritalin (which was too euphoric for me, and Vyvanse took its place) was re-added did I feel normal. Better than normal? Perhaps. However, the way I felt even after reinstating Klonopin could in no way be called normal.

My 16 year old son has been on vyvanse for 3 weeks. He cannot sleep, the doctor suggested putting him on clonidine to help. Has anyone had any experience with taking clonidine as a sleep aid while on vyvanse? Also, my son is extremely short of breath when doing any physical activity. Hey Linz, my psych had switched me to Vyvanse when it first came out, and at my next appointment I asked to be switched back to Adderral XR. The vyvanse did not work much at all for me, if anything it made me worse. So now I'm back on Adderral, and doing alright, or as alright as I can be doing (unfortunately meds don't make everything ok).
my step son is supposed to take vyvanse and clonidine, but he has been out of vyvance for 3weeks now and seems fine taking only clonidine.
The problem is that my doc prescribed me 60 30mg capsules so im trying to figure out how many 30 mg capsules is 70 mg vyvanse which i know that a 30mg vyvanse is 10mg adderall and 70 mg vyvanse is 30mg adderall.Is 7 30mg vyvanse capsules 70mg dose .I switched from taking 30mg adderall twice a day im going to have to call doc tommorroww.Any help in figuring this out .Thank you Im trying to get 70 mg vyvanse out of these 30mg capsules 1 70 mg or 1 60 is the right dose for me.
I may be wrong but I think you are correct that the name brand Adderall made by Shire will be discontinued and replaced by Vyvanse. That being said, you will continue to be able to get the generic brands. It was explained to me that the whole reason Vyvanse was released was because Adderall was coming off patent and Shire needed a "latest and greatest" to compete with the generic manufacturers. I'm sure I'll be corrected if this is wrong but that's the story I was told.
If you have ADHD and a prescription - no worries even if it does show up. If you don't ....then this search showed that, "Vyvanse is detectable in urine up to 3 days after ingesting Vyvanse. Vyvanse is detectable in hair samples for months after ingestion. Though Vyvanse itself only stays in your system four hours post-ingestion, the active drug d-amphetamine stays in your system for 40 hours.
I’ve been abusing adderal & vyvanse for over 2 years now it’s has started 2 make me sick I have scabs all over my shoulders fro picking at my skin because after taking a high dose of both my skin starts 2 blister my vision is blurry & and I’m experiencing basically every rare symptom from someone that’s abusing and the worst thing is I’ve destroyed every relationship I have my family is disgusted with me I have done things that are so far out of my character I don’t know if my wife’s fam
