Avatar m tn //www.corepsych.com/2013/12/vyvanse-dosage-strategies-for-adhd-medication-accuracy/#comment-10260 And here is a link about V and over dosing - http://www.corepsych.com/2009/09/vyvanse-adjustments-start-by-looking-for-the-exact-window/ Hope this helps. Please let me know what happens.

But of course the pill doesn't come that way. You might ask what she thinks about starting him out at 10mgs? Hope this helps. Let me know how the prescription card works from the Indiana site.
Avatar f tn Adderall 10 mg = Vyvanse 30 mg, Adderall 20 mg = Vyvanse 50 mg, Adderall 30 mg = Vyvanse 70 mg. I always start lower than expected with a change to Vyvanse, as for about 10-15% that anticipated dose of Vyvanse proves too much. I don’t want folks on my watch to experience 10% problems." I would also check the comments in the above link and some of them might apply to you. the link is - http://www.corepsych.

1934417 tn?1323431281 I have taken a few 30 and 40 mg vyvanse pills just several times over the past couple of weeks and have experienced tremendous effects on my studying and concentration abilities. I have recently gotten ahold of a 60 mg pill and am wondering if that dosage is too strong for me since I do not have a disorder and have not been taking vyvanse religiously. If anyone has some sort of input, please reply.
Avatar f tn dextroamphetamines (including Vyvanse, which is low intensity but has been engineered to last a long time--say, a peak intensity lasting 6 to 10 hours), adderall (which is mix, I think, of a slight variations of some kind of amphetamine), and then of course really intense stuff like methamphetines (which I know very little about, but which has ruined a lot of people's lives--think of it as kind of like crack cocaine, the most addictive and destructive form of coke).
Avatar n tn //www.corepsych.com/2009/06/vyvanse-dosage-for-adhd-finding-the-safe-top-of-the-window/ and check out the blogs he mentions. There is also a good chance that when you tried the adderall, you took too much. With all the these meds, you need to start slowly and let your body get used to them. Same thing might be true for the V. At any rate, do talk with your doc after reading up some more on V. This also might help - http://www.addadhdblog.
Avatar m tn Sometimes I take dextroamph without vyvanse, sometimes I take one dex with vyvanse. What I am doing basically is experimenting the best dosage and combination. But I did not overdose. I measured my blood pressure just a moiment ago and it was 128/85 pulses: 91) Also: my doctor changed my Wellbutrin dosage from 100 SR once a day to 100 SR twice a day.
Avatar f tn I have taken Zoloft on and off for some time with no major issues, but my anxiety would increase whenever I started, stopped, or adjusted dosage. Are you on Vyvanse for ADD? I think it is a stimulant and they can defiinitely raise your anxiety in my opinion. I have been on a different one with success, but have you been throwing up before you took the medication?
1218509 tn?1267490923 I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was 9 years old. Currently I am on Adderall, because Vyvanse was too expensive when I didn't have insurance. I took 60 mg of Vyvanse for three to four months, back in mid-2009; it was absolutely amazing. It was very smooth, it lasted around the 12-14 hours my Psychiatrist said it would, and I did not give me any side effects. I would highly recommend Vyvanse to anyone who needs a ADHD/ADD medication.
2106542 tn?1333928139 s and I would say maybe 70% say I have been misdiagnosed with ADHD based on several factors including the stimulating effects of the meds, or I may be on too low a dosage. I hate drugs to begin with and having to take a Meth product scares me. But... If I do have ADHD and a higher concentration of meds will work then I'd like to know that now instead of messing around with my head and body for no reason other than trying to "prove" whether I have it or not.
Avatar n tn If you are being treated for Narcolepsy its could be too low. If you have ADHD, there are more important factors then taking a nap. In fact, I think that the ability to take a nap would show that it is working for you. I do hope that you are upping your dose under your doctors supervision. The doc does need to know what is going on. Furthermore, the dose should probably be upped only after your body has had time to adjust. In other words, you don't up it every 4 days or something.
Avatar f tn I have started back Vyvanse last month at a low dose, it's not working like it should. I am 34 and in school so I need it to work. But what is a dose that helps the symptoms of ADD the best?
Avatar n tn That is a lot of drugs to give to someone who is a kid. Also, 100 mg of Vyvanse is a high dosage for a kid. Has your mom tried to reduce the number of medicines. Maybe try Vyvanse only in a small dosage to begin with. I also agree with DFW670 that your nephew needs to be correctly diagnosed by a specialist in children's mental health. Do not give him any medication without a proper diagnosis from a respected specialist.
Avatar m tn You pose a very interesting question. I remember my cardiologist telling me (in the 1980's) that people with low cholesterol were at high risk for stroke : ( Since that time, it seems that research suggests lowers numbers are OK. Here is an applicable article that I though you might find interesting: http://209.85.215.104/search?q=cache:uWv0GKyW0nYJ:www.medicineonline.com/news/10/6519/Cholesterol-Levels-Can-t-Be-Too-Low.
3063045 tn?1340654053 Yep, Noticed you said Adderall. His dosage was about right for Adderall. Way off for V which you said you were on. Wonder if he got mixed up?
Avatar f tn My 10 year old son, who is ADHD, was taking 30 mg of Vyvanse and it worked fine for like a month and half. The doctor increased his dosage to 40 mg and it was working great, but again the effects seemed to have diminished in two months. The doctor recommended to keep him in the 40 mg of Vyvanse, which he takes in the morning, and in the evening give him 1 mg of Intuniv. Do you know if that will help with his concentration at school?
Avatar n tn If it does not, it would be an indication that the dose is too low. Before trying the Ritalin in the morning, I would talk with your doc about increasing the V one more time. And yes, you are right that Ritalin is faster working. So it might be worth trying to see how he responds to that. And some people just do better on R anyway. If he does not respond to the R in 15 to 20 min. It may be that he is what Dr. Parker calls a slow metabolizer. See more about that here - http://www.
Avatar m tn I'm not sure if this is in the right place, but i need help so i'm going to ask it. i am 18 years old & have been taking vyvanse for about a month now. i slowly increased my dosage and i am up to 30mg currently. i'm starting to realize i am becoming depressed and i'm always in a bad mood, especially for the passed 3 days. friday, i smoked a very large amount of marijuana and took an ecstasy pill.
