Ya, you can't get there from here. First vyvanse and adderall really do work in different ways (absorption mainly). So to say a 30 is equal to 10 is kind of right, but really not the same. I guess my question would be how do you know that 70 is right for you if your capsules only come in 30mgs. Kinda of a 90 is too much and 60 not enough? Apparently, you can get either 20 or 40mgs which with your 30 would make 70. At any rate your action is correct, you need to call your doctor.

he faked being ADHD???to get vyvanse from her. How the hell to you do that? And be on Ambian and restoril and Xanax??????? How unethical is that? I went with him to his shrinks office and she took him off the ambian and "dosed" him down on vyvanse...this was last June 2011. He was unwilling to end it entirely by late Nov. I ended it. You might even ask your pharmacist what the normal recommended dose is (these guys are usually more in the know then the docs), and if he says something different have him call the docs office to make sure a mistake was not made. The pharmacist can usually get right through. And clonazepam or Klonopin can cause tiredness as a side effect. How long have you been on Klonopin? I didn't see any interaction problems listed between Klonopin and Vyvanse, but I only checked a few sites.

im on the highest dosage of vyvanse and its supposed to last longer than addorall but it seems to be working less and less...is that possible?? im sick of insurance not paying for this medication yet not getting any other substantial benifit from vyvanse, anyone else experience a increased tolerence to any add meds?

Also get a good nights sleep. Its better to study less the night before the test so you can get the sleep, then pull an all nighter. All meds have a time of duration. He is taking the Adderall in the afternoon because the V was no longer working. But, you can't add an Adderall at the same time and expect a longer duration. Basically V should last 10 or so hours. If it does not, you need to increase the dose or do the boost.

The med could be wearing off by the time she gets home. The fact that the stimulant meds are not causing her to climb the walls would indicate (I think) that they are partially working. I have a son with severe autism and ADD. Please find another doctor. In some patients of a higher age, that many meds at that dosage are fine but wow most doctors will tell you that at 7 yrs. old, it is not ok. My son just turned 6 and his doctors, he has many due to the autism, would never put him on that much. They are too young and it can alter the brain in a negative way on children under the age of 13. Trust me I have researched everything until I was blue in the face.

Have you talked to your doctor about it? Sometimes, just adjusting the dosage can help tremendously. With me, my doctor lowered my prescribed dose ever so slightly and it pretty much helped with most of the side effects....keep us posted!

Doctors usually start their patients (especially kids) out on the lowest possible dose and then wait for feedback from the parents before raising the dose. Its the safest way to go. Consequently, he may need a higher dose. A child without ADHD should react to even a slight amount of the stimulant being used. And vyvanse, I believe, is not a med that one has to take for awhile before it starts working. So, you do need to talk to your doctor to let him know what is going on.

I would go to your doctor and make sure you're still on the right dose of vyvanse. As you grow and get older your body and brain changes. You may be metabolizing it differently now. Also, make sure you're eating enough. You may be starting to grow and need more food. Especially since you exercise a lot, make sure you're getting enough calories. Just try adding some food for a couple days. See if it makes a difference. But I would definitely check on the vyvanse dosage.

I do hope that you are upping your dose under your doctors supervision. The doc does need to know what is going on. Furthermore, the dose should probably be upped only after your body has had time to adjust. In other words, you don't up it every 4 days or something.
