I started to try different doses of Vyvanse and Adderall, starting at 10mg Vyvanse and going up to 50mg, and starting at 5mg Adderall (IR) and increasing to 10, at most, 4x a day. All of these medications seemed to increase my depressive symptoms, and since I wasn't really retaining much or cognizant of how I was doing, I ended up going three weeks without touching my homework, going to class or talking to my friends.
And I find it hard right now in this condition to write a very comprehensible sentences and put them together. Whats wrong?
Medications: Vyvanse 50mg, dextroamphetamine 10mg (as needed), propranolol (20 but I tapered it into 10), wellbutrin (100 SR twice a day)
(I never took more than the recommended dosage, but a lot of the time, I change the dosage thought the month depending on the day by loweing it.
I take 50 mg vyvanse, but for a month i was on wellbutrin. The wellbutrin cause be extremme levels of anxiety and made my vyvanse useless.

Hey Win, I have a son on vyvanse and takes it only on school days and never in the summer. He does not have any side effects or w/d going off of it and he has been on it for 2 years. He doesn't act any different except maybe his appetite increases when off. It is gentler than adrenal I was told. I think you'll be just fine. So much of w/d is mental so keep a positive attitude. Much luck.
In July 2008 I switched over from Zoloft and Invega to Wellbutrin and Cymbalta. At that time, these were my only medications. In August 08, when I stood up from my chair, my legs had terrible tremors. They were so bad that I had to hold onto the desk. This still happens today. I also experience leg tremors when descending stairs - but not going up. I get minor tremors while going from a standing to a sitting position. My right hand has started to tremor - kind of fast but mild.
One idea to talk to your psych or doc about is to lower your dose of Vyvanse and up your Wellbutrin to 350mg. This might help since Wellbutrin targets dopamine receptors instead of seratonin like other ssri. This might help to give you the pleasurable pep you need to get out of the "lifeless void" as I call it and ease up on the dextroamphetamine (speed) that's doing a number on your mental state and your cns state.
I am surprised that he gave you vyvanse. My dr. gave me Wellbutrin and it produced none of the side effects you mention except decreased cravings for caffeine and sweets. Our pharmacist said vyvanse is a lot like adderall; he said everyone seems to be using it who would have previously been on adderall. It is very trendy right now. But I do not think it would help with anxiety at all, and I would guess anxiety might be causing your heart rate to be rapid.
ve heard positive feedback about it helping with depression, but nothing really on its effectiveness with adhd. I just stopped taking vyvanse and was put on this, and was nervous I would have trouble, due to that I'm used to taking the stimulant drugs. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanx!
After taking Wellbutrin 150mg 2x daily and my Zoloft 100mg together fro the first time I woke disoriented and dizzy
Just was wondering if I should of started the wellbutrin one a day to get used to it.
I had an allergic reaction to both, Adderall and Vyvanse, and my body refuses to metabolize these type of drugs properly. What do I do now? Just take Wellbutrin XL 150 for life? I'm a total disaster at work w/out the stimulants.
Anyone knows of alternatives? I do take Omega-3s, vitamins, acetyl l-carnitine etc.
I am on that combination and it works great. I was taking Lexapro 20 mg with Wellbutrin and was fine. How long have you been on Lexapro? My doc started me out slow with a week of 5 mg then 10 mg and so on. I know jumping into 20 mg for me was exhausting. Best of luck.
m worried that the combination of Cymbalta and Wellbutrin can cause this. Is the combintation of Cymbalta and Wellbutrin safe?

Actually, Vyvanse and Adderol ARE prescribed together for many patients like me —because they have opposite strengths and weaknesses. Doctors prescribe Adderol specifically to address a weakness of Vyvanse.
Vyvanse maintains a long, steady, consistent blood level all day — advantages over Adderal. But Vyvanse takes three hours to kick in, while it is metabolized in the liver so it has that nice long steady life. On the other hand, Adderol kicks in immediately, and has a short effective life.
I am a little sensitive to most (read almost every non antibiotic drug) but I have been doing well with the wellbutrin XL 150 and a wellbutrin 75 at lunch.
Thus far though they have worked very well together. Vyvanse is a newer ADD med and I specifically requested something other than Adderall due to side affects. My doctor explained to me that because Vyvanse has a very good time release the boost is similar however not as overbearing and much easier as it wears off than Adderall because the "come down" or "crash" does not cause such a severe low.
I have been taking 300 mg of Wellbutrin and 30 mg of Vyvanse for about a year now and recently my heart has been racing (100-110 beats per minute after sitting on the couch for an hour) and I have been having minor chest pains. Also, I have been feeling "out of it" sometimes during the day, and experience dizziness, confusion etc. on occasion. I was wondering if this could be related to my medications and if there is need to be concerned about my heart rate.
I would say yes, because wellbutrin is an antidepressant and klonopin is a benzo and they don't have any neg effect together usually and are often perscribed together, to be sure I would call an all night pharmacist or your local pharmacist, they can give you more professional advice, I do it all the time. JUst ask them if you can tak ethe two together and they can tell you if you need to look for or worry with side effects, but I would think it is fine.
For me, I realized the poor motivation and low ambition I was experiencing all these years was mostly from a lack of stimulation and poor mental energy to focus on doing anything, and sustain through doing anything. It was also depressing not having the stimulation to get much done and follow through, a lot of time gets wasted. I realized all of this once I started medicine a few months ago. I realized it the first day of starting Vyvanse, it was incredible.
i feel like i am being treated like a liability to these doctors and not getting proper treatment as i have told them the vyvanse worked! i have never abused anything other than opiates and have taken adderall and vyvanse plenty of times in the past on certain occasions when i had important deadlines. never abused them, never got a high, just was able to slow my brain down and pay attention to things. so with all that said, i don’t know what to do at this point.
Yes, you can stop the adderall. The others you can not stop, but must be slowly taken off them.
HOWEVER, I think you reason for your problems is the prozac.

I might be needing something like 160 mg of Vyvanse. I am also on Wellbutrin and Ketamine now for depression. I take Ambien and Lorazepam to fall asleep. I know there is a link between the stimulants that I take during the day and the sleep aid pills at night. I wish I could stop the Lorazepam 4mg because it is useless most of the time , and it is making me depressed. I am on 20 mg of Ambien. I know I am on high doses of meds. I am trying to decrease them and get to better more stable state.
