Dehydration, talking out of line, uncontrollable excitment and taking on to much.
Since being on Vyvanse my lithium side effects have subsided, all i notice is occasional tremors.
I notice the side effects from my Vyvanse are significantly worse when under slept, dehydrated, caffinated, even small portions of alcohol and hunger.
I've been taking vyvanse for 3 months. started at 30mg then 40 after 2 weeks. I just lowered it to 30 mg last week as a result of high anxiety.

Ever sense I started taking Vyvanse I have been acting a little OCD, having minor headaches, having major mood swings, a decrease of weight and appetite, and several other side effects. Ond of those is that I cant sleep. I'm almost positive that my medicine is causing an increase of anxiety when I'm trying to sleep. (It feels like no matter how much air I breathe in, that i'm just not getting enough oxygen.
I suffer from EDS (excessive daytime sleepiness) in addition to ADHD of the primarily inattentive type. I find vyvanse and/or Ritalin to be helpful in terms of making me alert and functional which of course has the secondary benefit of improving my executive function issues. With adderall not only am I more alert but it also has a marked impact on my executive function and task management in addition to the wakefulness.
ADHD medicine can be a game changer in terms of managing symptoms, but it, like all medications, has negative effects. Common side effects include decreased appetite, difficulty sleeping, and irritability, particularly at high doses. Some children may also have stomach problems or headaches. It's critical to have open lines of contact with your doctor so that they can change the dosage or try another drug if necessary.
first of all i think you need to call your doctor about taking vyvanse as needed, i think it needs to be taken on a regular basis to get the full effect but you need to ask your doctor. i agree your dose can be lowered if the side effects are bothersome but they may go away somewhat in 2 or 3 weeks, you just have to give it time. i'm on 50mg and don't really have side effects unless i take it too late in the day, then i'm up really late not being able to sleep.
Certain medications can cause side effects in many of us that take it. Vyvanse is a stimulant, which in my experience actually helped me focus in the long term (I took another type in the same class) Initially, I was nervous about taking it because I thought it would make my anxiety worse, but these types of medications can "calm the mind" with those with ADD or ADHD in my experience with them.

s now 2019 March 15th, I was wondering why I was going through five or six different side effects when switching my stimulants completely over to Vyvanse and I already was well invested into a Methadone Maintenance program. But I was on adderal 30mg 2 x daily, started methadone and then adderall 20mg 1 x day and 40mg vyvanse 1x a day when this all started slowly but I knew something wasnt right.
I agree with Sandman2 that you are taking too much. The first medication the doctor tried on me was vyvanse. I started on 30 mg which didn't last long enough. I was in college when I was taking it and took it at 9am and it was gone by 3-4pm. She increased my dose to 50 mg which was too much for me.
He said that the other two meds were to bring me down from the Vyvanse while also having the side effects of suppressing my hunger and one of them is supposed to make sugar (esp. sugary drinks) taste funky. I do not wake up in the middle of the night to eat and I am not addicted to sodas or anything. I am just trying to figure out the risk/benefit of this cocktail. The Vyvanse is already worth it b/c I can focus and it is WAY better than Ritalin plus it suppresses my appetite during the day.
The problem is that my doc prescribed me 60 30mg capsules so im trying to figure out how many 30 mg capsules is 70 mg vyvanse which i know that a 30mg vyvanse is 10mg adderall and 70 mg vyvanse is 30mg adderall.Is 7 30mg vyvanse capsules 70mg dose .I switched from taking 30mg adderall twice a day im going to have to call doc tommorroww.Any help in figuring this out .Thank you Im trying to get 70 mg vyvanse out of these 30mg capsules 1 70 mg or 1 60 is the right dose for me.
Actually, Vyvanse and Adderol ARE prescribed together for many patients like me —because they have opposite strengths and weaknesses. Doctors prescribe Adderol specifically to address a weakness of Vyvanse.
Vyvanse maintains a long, steady, consistent blood level all day — advantages over Adderal. But Vyvanse takes three hours to kick in, while it is metabolized in the liver so it has that nice long steady life. On the other hand, Adderol kicks in immediately, and has a short effective life.
I am surprised that he gave you vyvanse. My dr. gave me Wellbutrin and it produced none of the side effects you mention except decreased cravings for caffeine and sweets. Our pharmacist said vyvanse is a lot like adderall; he said everyone seems to be using it who would have previously been on adderall. It is very trendy right now. But I do not think it would help with anxiety at all, and I would guess anxiety might be causing your heart rate to be rapid.
It really did help me tremendously although I would highly suggest taking something else. I have been taking it for 8 years and will be ending it soon. Some side effects disappear, however, most will stay with you. The negative aspects far outweigh the positive in terms of long term use. The ticks are very concerning especially if you just began taking them. CALL your Dr. Hope this helps a little.
Try taking your blood pressure a few times on the Vyvanse and off the Vyvanse, at similar times of day and under similar circumstances. Depending on the results, you may need to talk to the doctor that is prescribing the Vyvanse to see if there is something else that can help your ADHD. I do agree with Yvette BG's other comments, above.
that sounds like a Vyvanse pill. Vyvanse is the most ridiculous ADD med I have ever been on. The reason she' poppin' these now, is because it makes you feel like you just racked three or four lines of yayo in a bathroom stall. This medication should not be aloud out of a lab until they get it right. If she's on this ****, you'd better make sure she gets some help. There are many side effects that could damage her heart, and it sounds like she may have an addiction problem.
