Common Questions and Answers about Vyvanse and provigil

vyvanse

Avatar f tn ll go back to paying through the nose for the vyvanse. without a stimulant to make up for the fatigue the meds and the fibro and adrenal insufficiency cause me, i can hardly stay awake and get off the couch.------i hate this!!!!
1401877 tn?1288107639 Your cardiologist is probably the best person to ask about this. Given the "I am not a doctor nor a pharmacist" spiel, my best *guess* would be that the Vyvanse would be the most likely of your meds to conflict with POTS.
Avatar f tn So I saw the neuro again on Tuesday and he gave me Vyvanse. Tried that on Thursday. Not good at all. Felt like a rabbit on speed. Not good at all. I don't think my left eye was blurry but the medication was making me feel so strange I was focused on everything else. So Friday I went back to the 100mg dose of Provigil. I barely function on this dose and sure enough my left eye is blurry. At the 100mg at least I don't have any heart palpitations.
405614 tn?1329144114 It would be great if that could help with my fatigue as well as help me lose weight, and cost a lot less than Provigil. Heck, I looked it up and it is also in the same class as amphetamines, and could raise my heart rate/BP. I'll ask how it compares to Ritalin as far as side effects. I think Ritalin reduces the appetite, too, and would cost me a small co-pay. I'm so sorry about your lower back pain; I'm seeing my physical therapist about mine today.
Avatar n tn I am in the exact same situation as you. I have been on 40mgs of Vyvanse now for a month and a half and I fear the "honeymoon" period is over. At first my compulsive eating ceased and I was ambitious and eager to work and clean and take care of business. But now I find that I'm more or less back to being overly hungry and have less energy again and find it harder to keep on tasks that need to be done.
Avatar f tn He takes 50 mg of Vyvanse daily and was wondering if anyone has experienced this side effect with Vyvanse. Thank you.
2164295 tn?1337019528 I am currently taking Vyvanse 70mg in the morning, 10mg of Adderall (short acting) in the evening, and trying to implement a daily nap schedule. Over the last year the cataplexy I experience has increased and my muscle tone has decreased. I lost my job in September of 2011, because I was having such difficulty getting up to go to work and staying awake at work. I have tried taking Wellbutrin XL for the cataplexy but I don't think it has really done much.
Avatar n tn My question is this: Has anyone taken adhd medication such as vyvanse and is in recovery from adrugs and alcohol?
Avatar f tn No dose seemed to fit for me. But, I lost the weight I was needing to lose (20 lbs) and if I go off Vyvanse, will it come back on with a vengance? I have heard hunger just is out of control when stopping this drug. So I am afraid to stay on it and I am afraid to go off it.
Avatar n tn I suffer from depression, and anxiety. the depression meds. make me sleepy during the day. I have been on provigil, nuvigil, and adderall before. main problems were chest and nasal convestion, constant clearing of my throat like something is stuck in it, and even facial ticks. if anyone knows of any other stimulants that don't have those side effects, or side effects not that severe. plz let me know! Tks!!
Avatar m tn I am taking Vyvanse and Prozac, and I'm having trouble getting myself to eat. I am still in a healthy weight range, so I'm not worried about that. But I've been weak, fatigued, and dizzy at times because I'm not eating enough. Are there any protein shakes I should try, or something like that, so I can be getting the nutrients I need? I hate most protein shakes because I can't stand the texture, and they're usually gross. But I have to do something.
Avatar m tn I checked for side effects for Vyvanse but aside from stomach pain, and diarrhea no other relatable side effects were shown. I was curious if anyone taking this medication or similar type of medication has experience this or been able to manage this issue.
1396846 tn?1332459510 ok well he did about a year and a half ago it was provigil, now that one I had trouble sleeping at night and I started feeling better so I stopped taking it then when I needed it again my crappy insurance wouldn't pay for it (it is very costly) It just feels so good to be here mentally.
Avatar m tn Hi there, looking for insight on lifestyle habits to better manage bipolar and ADHD disorder. Taking 600mg of lithium and 30mg of vyvanse. Wondering what nutrition choices, sleep patterns and work loads people adopt to better manage there experences with or without the medication. Also looking for information on dealing with anxiety as a result of school stress and side effects from medication.
871962 tn?1244730028 The medications I have used are provigil and adderall, and I don't take them every day, so tracking them would be helpful. (I currently take provigil.) Tracking the degree of sleepiness is also helpful, since I am sleepy almost every day and a yes/no doesn't do much. Others with narcolepsy might benefit from tracking sleep paralysis but fortunately I don't have that problem. That being said, I really like all the trackers here.
Avatar f tn My 10 year old son, who is ADHD, was taking 30 mg of Vyvanse and it worked fine for like a month and half. The doctor increased his dosage to 40 mg and it was working great, but again the effects seemed to have diminished in two months. The doctor recommended to keep him in the 40 mg of Vyvanse, which he takes in the morning, and in the evening give him 1 mg of Intuniv. Do you know if that will help with his concentration at school?
968560 tn?1307451498 Anybody know if there is any problems taking tramadol and provigil together?
Avatar m tn I started to try different doses of Vyvanse and Adderall, starting at 10mg Vyvanse and going up to 50mg, and starting at 5mg Adderall (IR) and increasing to 10, at most, 4x a day. All of these medications seemed to increase my depressive symptoms, and since I wasn't really retaining much or cognizant of how I was doing, I ended up going three weeks without touching my homework, going to class or talking to my friends.
620048 tn?1358018235 I do use OTC sleep aids like you said and i think for now i will continue, i have some ambien, but i will keep it to use when i need it, since i had to beg for it. I dont want to use it all the time anyway. And i use 200 mg of provigil now, and i sometimes i could use a bit more. But i try to stick with 200 mg.
Avatar m tn sometimes I take 50mg vyvanse the day after its 35, then 40, then 50 and so on. Sometimes I take dextroamph without vyvanse, sometimes I take one dex with vyvanse. What I am doing basically is experimenting the best dosage and combination. But I did not overdose. I measured my blood pressure just a moiment ago and it was 128/85 pulses: 91) Also: my doctor changed my Wellbutrin dosage from 100 SR once a day to 100 SR twice a day.
Avatar f tn Well, it was not the Lithium that caused the twitching, as I had a Lithium level drawn after stopping it and the Vyvanse, and my level was a little bit low, indicating that it had probably been at normal levels just a day or two before. Now I have a script for Concerta to replace the Vyvanse, I am just waiting on insurance's prior authorization. I am still on the Prozac and am back on Abilify. The twitching slowly subsided, as did the eye pain, nausea, and dizziness.
Avatar f tn The wellbutrin cause be extremme levels of anxiety and made my vyvanse useless.
Avatar f tn im on the highest dosage of vyvanse and its supposed to last longer than addorall but it seems to be working less and less...is that possible?? im sick of insurance not paying for this medication yet not getting any other substantial benifit from vyvanse, anyone else experience a increased tolerence to any add meds?
