Avatar m tn I would think sleep plays a big part in memory and levels of anxiety. Perhaps the vyvanse stimulation gets me so focused my breathing is shortened and anxiety develops. Since taking the Vyvanse I find it easier to get up in the morning. I'm more focused switched on and attentive. My drive is empowering and my self confidence has improved. I'll have a look at those sites tomorrow.
Avatar n tn I was prescribed Vyvanse around 5-6 months ago and take it on a regular basis (40mg). I was upped to 40mg about two months ago. I have had clumps of hair falling out, usually in the shower and can noticeably tell that my hair is thinning. I am a 22 year old Female and have never had this problem before. I have no other health problems to my knowledge. I'm currently in college, which is why stopping the Vyvanse just isn't an option right now.
14995990 tn?1437789661 ive lost over 7lbs and about a weeks time and ive lost muscle to the point where going to the bathroom is a little difficult. But my biggest problems are my heart rate and memory loss. The past 3 days ive stayed home from work because im so off and when ever i take my meds i take the pill when i wake up then i go to my notebook and write a mark showing i took my meds. Well ive forgotten that i took my meds a few times and took about 300 mgs 2 days ago. And it amplified all my side effects.
Avatar f tn I am guessing that you see two different doctors. One for weight loss and one for your ADHD/anxiety. I say this because Basically phentermine is a stimulant (works like adderall), but works differently then adderall. I am not sure you should be taking it with adderall. "Phentermine use is containdicated in those who are: Taking amphetamine (i.e. Adderall, Dexedrine, Vyvanse), in the last 14 days" This quote is from - http://en.wikipedia.
Avatar m tn I am taking Vyvanse and Prozac, and I'm having trouble getting myself to eat. I am still in a healthy weight range, so I'm not worried about that. But I've been weak, fatigued, and dizzy at times because I'm not eating enough. Are there any protein shakes I should try, or something like that, so I can be getting the nutrients I need? I hate most protein shakes because I can't stand the texture, and they're usually gross. But I have to do something.

Avatar f tn So I went and visited a general practitioner that specializes in weight loss. He prescribed Vyvanse to take in the morning then before bed I am supposed to take Topamax (migraine medicine) and Trintellix (an antidepressant) as well as a diet. I started on the Vyvanse mostly b/c I also suffer from ADHD and it is really great so far for my attention at work.
1934417 tn?1323431281 I am a full time university student in exam time and do not have ADD or ADHD or any other disorder. The only thing I am lacking is motivation and memory when it comes to studying for exams. I have taken a few 30 and 40 mg vyvanse pills just several times over the past couple of weeks and have experienced tremendous effects on my studying and concentration abilities.
Avatar m tn palputations, chest pains, abnormal heartbeat, soar neck, numbness in hands, dizziness, twitchy muscles, anxiety, stress, depression, lightheadedness, mood numbness, loss of breath, panic attacks, insomnia, excessive urination, hot flashes, dehyrdation, stomach pain, diherreah, lose of focus, decreased attention span, bad memory, loss of reality NOTE (Not all these symptoms occur at once, these are symptoms that i have encountered over the last 2 years pretty consistently since my first panic
14987738 tn?1437742035 In September of last year I was admitted for my depression, I was diagnosed with major depression disorder, anxiety, schizophrenia, and ADD, I was put on Vyvanse 30 mg, Zoloft 50mg later upped to 100, Abilify 5mg, I was doing good when I got out, vyvanse has helped my concentration steady, I stopped Zoloft and Abilify months ago because they were no help but my vyvanse has been causing troubles, I feel more depressed, and depression runs on both sides of the family, I rarely sleep, I sometimes g
Avatar m tn After taking just the 300mg Wellbutrin, 5mg Valium, and aspirin, and 70mg Vyvanse, my pressure gradually started climbing; when it got to 149/89, I took 50mg Atenenol; over a relatively short period of time, it was back down to 129/79, but that's still too high, IMO. I'll survive without the Vyvanse; I'm going to see if I can't get my blood pressure down to a normal level with weight loss (215 now, should be 190 max) and exercise. Thank you.
Avatar f tn He takes 50 mg of Vyvanse daily and was wondering if anyone has experienced this side effect with Vyvanse. Thank you.
1218509 tn?1267490923 t clinch my teeth hardly at all and my wife shared my mood was substantially more positive and my outlook more optimistic. I heard vyvanse is used for ADHD and ADD but the drug, even at 20mg (lasting 8-10hours) has positive impacts on the psycho-social arena. I know of other veterans who the VA put on psycho meds and its tearing up their lifes and the meds they are taking have horrific side effects such as obesity and loss of sight and risk of heart failure....way to go VA...
Avatar m tn I started to try different doses of Vyvanse and Adderall, starting at 10mg Vyvanse and going up to 50mg, and starting at 5mg Adderall (IR) and increasing to 10, at most, 4x a day. All of these medications seemed to increase my depressive symptoms, and since I wasn't really retaining much or cognizant of how I was doing, I ended up going three weeks without touching my homework, going to class or talking to my friends.
Avatar f tn He angrily snapped at me and said will check with my family dr about the Vyvanse - insinuating it was prescribed maybe? He had known all along and in my chart that I take Vyvanse. I just feel like this doctor was mad at me and angry - instead of helping me. For the life of me I can't understand why except that I forgot my bp data sheet. I had the blood work done he had prescribed and we also talked about that.

Avatar n tn My question is this: Has anyone taken adhd medication such as vyvanse and is in recovery from adrugs and alcohol?
571167 tn?1223214465 I've been on methadone for 6 months. And I loose everything. Keys credit cards anything I set down. Forget to do things. Sometimes I drop my mom off and drive home, forgetting to stop at the methadone clinic. The clinic says "I haven't heard of that". I'm on 80mg. Has anyone else experienced this as fast. I am really worried, my dad died 4 years ago. From glioblastoma, which is the worst type of brain cancer and one of the symptoms is short term memory loss.
Avatar n tn My question is could the buildup of medications etc cause him to now have memory loss, language skills loss and tremors in his right hand. He walked in to the hospital on crutches and now is dependent on a wheelchair.

Avatar n tn Johns Hopkins researchers who have been at the forefront of this field reviewed the evidence on short-term and long-term mental changes after bypass surgery. They found that short-term confusion, memory loss, and poorer problem solving and information processing are common after bypass surgery, but are usually temporary and reversible. Most people return to their pre-bypass level of function between 3 and 12 weeks after surgery.
