Vyvanse and lexapro

Common Questions and Answers about Vyvanse and lexapro

vyvanse

I am taking 450 mg Wellbutrin with 40 mg. Lexapro and 10 mg. Abilify and I don't seem to have any particular side effects from the combination. I also take Zonegran, an anti-seizure drug that is used to treat neuropathic pain. My doctor gave me Xanax to take as needed, knowing the mixture that I already had. There doesn't seem to be a problem with that, either.
) But, if I CAN come off the Lexapro and still be okay, that would be nice. I am suffering from SEVERE vertigo and feel that the Lexapro, while perhaps not causing that, certainly doesn't help. (I definitely know that lack of sleep and LOTS of coffee has made the vertigo worse.) I have no complaints about the Lexapro. And I would agree - if I have terrible withdrawl, it still would have been worth all the fantastic months I have had in the meantime.

NOw I only take 75mg seroquel, 500mg seroquel XR, 20mg Lexapro, 70mg Vyvanse and 20mg ambin. The last few days my left hand has been numb my left rib cage has hurt on and off, I have had a bad migrain so much so that my left eye feals bleered and heavy with neck tightness, and starting today my left leg feels cold and numb but not as numb as my left hand. I am wondering if this is from not being on the meds that I was a month and a half ageo, or frome meds I now take or somthing else?
I take 40 mg of vyvanse and I also suffer depression. I was given lexapro 10 mg. i found it self-defeating i was tire all the time and unable to focus or work. are there better combinations for depression and adhd? by the way, he took me off of lexapro. I've tried zoloft, gave me a skin rash. Also at one time i was on wellbrutin and stratera. i liked the well brutin but the straterra made me feel weird. any suggestions? I feel pretty hopeless...
5 x2 a day- works well, no bad side effects, I really want to use it long term, any advice or opinions appreciated lexapro 10- the last SSRI I have tried, I have tried them all and none have helped with anxiety.panic only in my opinion worsened my symptoms, this one will have to be tapered and I will not start that until I fully taper/replace the vyvanse if necessary Trazodone- 100 mg at night for sleep and doc said it may help with anxiety and depression (fine so far, less than a week on it.
Earlier in my lafe I was diagnosed as ADD so I have been on wellbutirn, vyvanse (adderrall) and lexapro for a very long period of time. I wanted to get off of these so I could get pregnant. But now since I've gotten off the meds I do have huge mood swings. The docs and my husband are trying to have me take bipolar meds which I have taken earlier in my life for a two year period - I took probably 6 or 7 different kinds none worked.
I was prescribed Topamax along with an appetite suppressant (Adipex) for weight loss a bit over a year ago and stopped taking them after two and a half months. I did not lose all of the weight I had wanted to, but most of it. I had gained 55 pounds while on Paxil over the course of two and a half years. By taking a combination of the two medicines, I lost 22 pounds the first month, 10 pounds the second month, and 8 pounds the first half of the third month.
Last June I had a breakdown and I was out of state a a physician I went to put me on seroquel, lexapro, and vyvanse....along with my klonopin. This seemed to be working, then he added Adderall and I was amazed at this. I felt "normal" for the first time in 30 years. I could think straight, and as time has gone by the depression has gone. I take 30 mg of this a day. Recently, since the insurance said they would not pay for Vyvanse and Adderall the Dr.
This all started with the Vyvanse. And of course the eating problems. Its so hard to remember to eat, and then when you do remember your already full with just a bite or two. Im starting to think I have a eating disorder because of how little I eat, or the only time I do really eat it after 10 pm when the meds start to wear off and I start to crave things... also found that ive been sleep eating..
It was in April 2009 when the Lexapro and Vyvanse lost their effect, and the doc upped my dose. Shortly after that I began feeling pain. my psychiatrist assured me the drugs did not have those kind of side effects.. and indicated I would feel very bad if i stopped them, as my body & brain is now dependent on them. So I continued to take them.. cuz I basically HAVE TO, or else I go crazy. I went to over 10 doctors for all these aches and pains and fatigue...

my doctor switched my meds she took me off ativan and lexapro and put me of seroquil and trileptal. i am in sweats all night i have a major headache i am so tired...
I have some problems. They are nothing new really, but they seem to be getting worse every day of my life. First, let me describe what I do and what kind of person I am: I'm a 25-year-old male, I own my own video production company specializing in music videos and I am a recording artist. I live with my girlfriend in an apartment who I am in love with, and get along with great.
i am an 18 year old female prescribed wellbutrin 300 mg, lexapro 30 mg, vyvanse 30 mg, risperidone .25 mg and formula 303 muscle relaxants. i've been on these medications for quite some time and i don't think they have anything to do with my symptoms, but i just wanted to give a short background. over the past couple of weeks, i've been experiencing very odd sensations.
About 4 years ago I went on Vyvanse (to treat the ADD, this was before I was dianosed with OCD), and it was an entirely different world. It made me alert and focused, but most of all, it worked way better than Lexapro or Xanax ever did for depression. The Lexapro/Vyvanse combo put me in an extremely happy, positive mood, to the point where I would occasionally find myself being a chatterbox when talking to people. However, I wasn't "amped up" or jittery.
Medicines don't seem to work very well, most effective are Lexapro and Vyvanse. Theories of what it ultimately may be have been Generalized Anxiety Disorder, PTSD, and Aspergers Syndrome. Let me know if you have experienced a similar mix of ingredients. I'd be interested to know and can maybe even help if I'm a little deeper in the issue. Thanks.

I'm having a hard time concentrating and an even harder time make my thoughts and words connect so that they are coherent and make sense. I always feel in pain and every activity is a struggle. If anyone could help with any ideas of what this might be, it would be so greatly appreciated. I just want to feel normal again. i forgot to add that in the past several months, my left breast has been lactating and i've had more discharge than usual.

I cannot tell you how many tests I have had... I am currently on Lexapro, Strattera and Vyvanse for ADHD/Anxiety. How do I get past this??
But they shower and get dressed and they usually feel more refreshed and awake. For me, I feel the same after I'm showered and dressed as I do when I first wake up in the morning. Though I still probably feel worse than the average person. After I eat breakfast, I still feel weak tired though it's not quite as overwhelming. When I attempt to focus, it's like I'm staring a hole through whatever it is I'm trying to focus on. It becomes blurry and then I just find myself staring at it.
I have had no motivation and seriously dont even feel like getting out of bed. Therefore, I thought I needed my lexapro increased or needed my ADHD med changed (Vyvanse); however, when I told my psychitrist that I switched my birth control to the pill (Seasonique) he totally told me to quit taking it. Therefore, I stopped tonight. I am not taking it anymore. Also, last week, I went to a specialist for my migraines and the doctor has put me back on Topamax.
Such as risperdal, lexapro, neurotin. and amitriptyline. I have fallen asleep and ran off the road before and could fall asleep basically doing anything. So I understand there are people who need this medication and as of any medication I also know there are pros and cons and researched the med as well as spoken to my Dr about it. i tried XR and didn't like it. I'm starting to think maybe I should change the medicine.
So now I'm off the drug but everything still just seems off. I take lexapro for anxiety and depression and vyvanse for adhd but I still just feel distant from everything. I talk to people now and have "friends" but I really don't enjoy anything still. I don't have the ups and downs of life and I don't do the crazy wild things I used to. it's like I'm just coasting through. Lots of girls like me but I really couldnt care less about any of them.

I am on abilify with trazadone, lamictal, zoloft, vyvanse, and sometimes xanax. It works pretty well, I usually use it to augment my anxiety which can amplify my OCD. I am trying to use these forums whenever I feel down, I guess trying to prolong the need to go back to my cognitive behavioral therapist.
My history of addiction has made it exceedingly difficult to find a solution for my issues. The only drugs that have helped me so far have become addictions, & the other (non-addictive) drugs I have tried have either made my problems worse, or done nothing at all.
Anyway it is a good idea to participate in a sleep study. But that's totally up to you. You only mentioned Vyvanse and xanax to be taking at the moment. You said you have been on many meds. If you can name which meds you currently take and for how long/dosage and same thing for the past meds. And yes, your condition can and with proper treatment will get better.
I have an eight year old son, Trace, he is currently on ADHD and Anti-Depressant meds (Vyvanse& Lexapro). My problem and concern is this, he has an anger management problem. It is a constant problem at home and at school. I have concerns for his safety and other children's safety. He sees a psychologist and a therapist on a regular basis however; we still have not come to a workable solution.
