vyvanse and drug screens

These are still detectable on drug screens and have a HL of 9-11 hours. Long story short, 2 people, 2 different ADHD medications. Vyvanse is completely out of system and undetectable in urine in 48-60 hours, Adderall completely out of system in 4-7 days. Personal experience - I take anywhere from 120-200mg of Vyvanse daily. I had negative urinalysis after 48 hours of not taking medication. Hope that helps...

The school he goes to drug screens him and it has always come back positive for PCP. No other drug screens - the criminal justice system or the hospital's test are positive for anything. Could any of his meds be the reason that he is showing up positive. He is not acting out when he has the positive screens so I have to believe it is the combination or one of the meds but the school believes otherwise. Help!

Hello. I have recently been prescribed zoloft and dextroamfetamine (vyvanse). My dose has just been raised to 150 zoloft and 50 vyvanse. I am feeling dizzy, I'm sweating like crazy lying down in a cold room, and I've thrown up a few times since I took the increased dosages earlier today. Occasionally it feels like my heart has butterfly wings too. Am I just having panic attacks? I heard the dex can increase anxiety... I don't have insurance here...

At this point in time, it is not available to employment screens as it is very specific and very expensive. With time this will change, but not at this time you have a prescription correct? If it showed up, u would be ok? I do understand not wanting to broadcast u r on sub...unlike methadone, it is not an approved pain med in the US. It is only approved for addiction so saying u r on it is a dead give-away good luck getting ur job..keep us posted...

Most tox screens (like pre-employment drug screens) do NOT test for bupe, a special test that includes it must be done (either in the form of a dipstick test or using a special test cup that includes bupe). It's impossible to know whether a tox screen you're having done is going to include that, as more places are testing for it. Honesty is always the best policy, if you're taking a drug test for whatever reason be honest about what they could find.

If you have ADHD and a prescription - no worries even if it does show up. If you don't ....then this search showed that, "Vyvanse is detectable in urine up to 3 days after ingesting Vyvanse. Vyvanse is detectable in hair samples for months after ingestion. Make sure and tell your doctor u r a drug addict and see if he will start making u take a drug test. That way he knows exactly how much is in your system and anything else and holds you accountable. Most importantly you took a huge step by getting what was in your head out and talking about it! That is the most important thing in recovery!!!

After taking just the 300mg Wellbutrin, 5mg Valium, and aspirin, and 70mg Vyvanse, my pressure gradually started climbing; when it got to 149/89, I took 50mg Atenenol; over a relatively short period of time, it was back down to 129/79, but that's still too high, IMO. I'll survive without the Vyvanse; I'm going to see if I can't get my blood pressure down to a normal level with weight loss (215 now, should be 190 max) and exercise. Thank you.

I know he is not abusing the Vyvanse, but can the Vyvanse be increasing his want of the alcohol and the coke? The warnings for the drug say do not take this medicine if you have addiction issues. Is this because it could put you back into the addiction cycle with any drug, or because there is fear of abusing the vyvanse, or both? He doesn't seem to wind down at night and is sleeping only 5 or less hours a night. I am confused here and don't know what to do.

You should not be discriminated as you do have proof of you medical history and prescirptions. Drug test are becoming more and more common and In my opinion if you explain your situation you will be fine.

he faked being ADHD???to get vyvanse from her. How the hell to you do that? And be on Ambian and restoril and Xanax??????? How unethical is that? I went with him to his shrinks office and she took him off the ambian and "dosed" him down on vyvanse...this was last June 2011. He was unwilling to end it entirely by late Nov. I ended it. These shrinks should have their licenses yanked! I was put thru hell for 3 yrs. not knowing about the vyvanse.

I would first ask your doctor about increasing the V dose. V is a smoother drug that can take up to 45 mins to start working and you may just not be used to its gradual onset. However, it should last 10+ hours. If it does not - thats a pretty good sign you are underdosed.

Hello, I also have adult ADD and I have tried both Concerta and Vyvanse. My doctor wanted me to try Concerta for a few weeks and I didn't like it at all. It didn't agree with me. It made it feel depressed and NOT motivated to do everyday things. I was on a 36 mg dose and when I went back to my doctor I told him I hated it. He mentioned that there is a new medication called Vyvanse and asked if I would like to try it. With nothing to lose, I said yes. I do like Vyvanse.

t taken vyvanse for 3 months but have consistent chest pain which started when taking the drug. my blood pressure did go up when taking the drug so i was put on atenolol. I had since discontinued the drug (about 3 months ago) but the side effects continue . I have 24/7 tight chest. Anyone with similar experience, recommendations, etc?

Adderol is like Special Forces who goes in to accomplish a specialized mission, and then leaves.. On the other hand, Vyvanse is the army, does all the heavy lifting and 95% of everything else. I am not addressing drug addiction — just what my doctor says is a common prescribing practice with Vyvanse.

my 11 year old son is coming off of Vyvanse. He has been off for a month and he told me he was going to commit suicide becasue of is grades at school. I know this is not normal, but is tis one fo the side effects when coming off the drug?
