vyvanse and cold medicine

I have been on Vyvanse and i never gain weight also Dexetrine with is in the same family and also my brother has been on adderal no weight gain. So i wouldnt worry about weight. we all took it for adhd.

No dose seemed to fit for me. But, I lost the weight I was needing to lose (20 lbs) and if I go off Vyvanse, will it come back on with a vengance? I have heard hunger just is out of control when stopping this drug. So I am afraid to stay on it and I am afraid to go off it.

Hello, I also have adult ADD and I have tried both Concerta and Vyvanse. My doctor wanted me to try Concerta for a few weeks and I didn't like it at all. It didn't agree with me. It made it feel depressed and NOT motivated to do everyday things. I was on a 36 mg dose and when I went back to my doctor I told him I hated it. He mentioned that there is a new medication called Vyvanse and asked if I would like to try it. With nothing to lose, I said yes. I do like Vyvanse.

I am really sensitive to medications. Adderall was like what I imagine taking crystal methamphetamine feels like. At least I felt like how those people looked. I have been on Vyvanse for a while now. And was worried when they doctor said it was very similar to Adderall XR. But he promised me that the issues I was having with feeling ill, insomnia, and no appitite would lessen on Vyvanse. And that the nasty, gross stimulant feeling I got from Adderall would go away.

Vyvanse is not a good medicine for people with high blood pressure and you might talk with your doctor and see if there are alternatives. Beta blockers do antagonize the effects of vyvanse. Maybe a calcium channel blocker or an ACE inhibitor would be better--but first check and see if Vyvanse is a must for you.

I checked for side effects for Vyvanse but aside from stomach pain, and diarrhea no other relatable side effects were shown. I was curious if anyone taking this medication or similar type of medication has experience this or been able to manage this issue.

My son who is 9 years old was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 6, we have tried adderall, aderral xr, medate, medadate xr and now have gone throught all MG of daytrana patch. He is also taking .2 clonidine at night to help sleep. He also has ODD, my question is what medication can we try him on now that will MAYBE help with both? We have tried the Tenex smallest dose possiblr 1/4 pill in am. And he just could not function.

and again as soon as I hit the floor I regained consciousness and went to my bed following bad cold sweats and not right. After this one I did call my pcp and got in a week and a half later. She didn't know what could be causing it but since I had chest pain and couldn't breath she ordered me to use a holter heart monitor for 1 week. During that week no episodes happened it was acyally one of the weeks I slept good. Results came back as ventricular trigeminy and Bigeminy.

I hope things went well for you with the vyvanse. I unfortunately stopped my vyvanse cold turkey and had a grand Mal seizure when I was 38 and never had a seizure in my life before that. My doctor said you should always ween yourself off any type of stimulant.

I know he is not abusing the Vyvanse, but can the Vyvanse be increasing his want of the alcohol and the coke? The warnings for the drug say do not take this medicine if you have addiction issues. Is this because it could put you back into the addiction cycle with any drug, or because there is fear of abusing the vyvanse, or both? He doesn't seem to wind down at night and is sleeping only 5 or less hours a night. I am confused here and don't know what to do.

also since i have started taking it my muscles (especially in my back) have started getting sorer and sorer. today my back is extremely sore as are my legs, and my feet and hands are cold, almost even numb. should i be worried? back to my pulse, my family doctor performed alot of test but said that he could not find the reason for it being so rapid. he told me to slowly ween myself off of caffine and eventually stop drinking any. i have reduced my caffine intake to about 24oz.

i took 3 vyvanse 70 mg in the morning then 2 more 12 hours later that was 4 days ago my heart is still pounding and hurting and is off rythem im having breathing problems and getting light headed am i gonna die? im just wondering cause i've got a drug test comming up and im scared if i got to the hospital they will drug test me and it will get back to my p.o.

12 to 14 hours for Vyvanse and 8 to 10 for Concerta. Thats very close to all day coverage and not necessary. Second, they are of two different chemical classes. Concerta is a methylphenidate based medicine, while Vyvanse is an amphetamine based med. Usually you go to an amphetamine based because your methylphenidate is not working for you. The only possible reason I can think of to take both would be to turn off your mind at night so you could go to sleep and stay asleep.

The way I look at it, It is bad enough I have not slept in over a month, but to add the flu/cold is just not right and I need to be able to function and work until I have my baby.( No one else pays my bills but me! No work=not paying mortgage) If its only a few days when you are miserable. I do not see the harm...but others may feel different.

my 11 year old son is coming off of Vyvanse. He has been off for a month and he told me he was going to commit suicide becasue of is grades at school. I know this is not normal, but is tis one fo the side effects when coming off the drug?

Ever sense I started taking Vyvanse I have been acting a little OCD, having minor headaches, having major mood swings, a decrease of weight and appetite, and several other side effects. Ond of those is that I cant sleep. I'm almost positive that my medicine is causing an increase of anxiety when I'm trying to sleep. (It feels like no matter how much air I breathe in, that i'm just not getting enough oxygen.

This is a bit more than what I usually take.This is what I'm feeling: 1) Racing, irregular heartbeat 2) Ice cold, clammy hands 3) Weak muscles in legs 4) Restless Leg Syndrome ( I can't stop moving my legs) 5) Shallow breathing 6) Nausea 7) Anxiety 8) Tightness in throat and chest 9) Chills I recently took some Hydroxyzine (Visteril) to help calm me down. I was always told to take tylenol cold. and for the dayquil nyquil is has acohol in it and asprin so i wouldnt recommend it. But you could also call your ob and ask what is safe and whats not.
