Hi, my co-worker, one of the very few people I have told about this Chiari thing to, came up to me today and said last night she saw a commercial on TV about Chiari - twice. Has anyone else seen anything like this? I can't watch TV much anymore because it causes really bad headaches so I really have no idea what is on out there. But I had never heard of Chiari until just a few weeks ago from searching up terms on my MRI report!

Is it just me or does every commercial seem to be taking about heart stuff.. Do scary and I was reading on here and some lady said her sister died of a heart tumor and had every heart test and ended up dying because they never caught the heart tumor. Hi, I do not have a fibro or CFS dx, but have chronic Lyme which has a good amount of symptom overlap. While undiagnosed, I was treated with meds including Neurontin and Lyrica. I recently saw a new TV commercial for Lyrica. I've never liked these commercials as they seem to minimize the problem and severity of fibro by showing patients resuming active lives thanks to this medication. One I saw in the past depicted a woman working in a bakery.

My doctor perscribed Vytorin 10/20. This is where my health began to deteriorate. I developed both clay soft stool and chronic explosive diarrhea in the mornings (3-4X before leaving the house) and excessive tiredness. At first I didnt put the two together, I just thought it was something I was eating or drinking so I continuously changed my diet. Nothing helped. I went back to the doctor for a 1 yr follow up and mentioned the diarrhea.

I am cures Ty on Vytorin and will be starting therapy soon, I have read that someone on a cholesterol lowering drug should not be on this drug. Can you tell me why?

I was layin in bed, watching tv and a commercial for kmart came on advertising joe boxer sleepwear. Most of the commercial was a group of like 5 pregnant women dancing, all i could think watching it was S C R E W THAT!!!!

Reading the many comments I came across one that stated lovastatin is an old medicine and is not used often. After recent cath my doctor changed my medication from vytorin ,have taken vytorin for 5 years, to lovastatin. I did ask for a cheaper medicine and lovastatin was what he came with. I have no problems or side effects . My question is lovastatin less effective then other of the same and if not why is it not used often. My engineering background comes out if I d not have proper data.

I have IBS with diarrhea. My family doctor gave me Vytorin and it caused ONE HORRIBLE bout with the diarrea. So, my question is: Should people with IBS not take Vytorin? If the answer is: No,they shouldn't,then why do you think this side effect is not listed on the pamphlet that comes with the drug.....or any where else?!

So tonight especially while watching TV with my daycare kids and all the commercials for food are driving me crazy. I want all of it. Not only do we not have hardly any of the fast food restraunts but I am also broke right now but I am sure not dragging all 5 kids to get my cravings. I have been on Vytorin for a few years and my insurance company will not pay for it anymore. My doctor has switched me to Simvastatin (40mg) daily.My question is has anyone else made the switch and have they noticed any side-effects?

Fatigue and lethargy are side effects of atenolol, however, I do not see any information suggesting that muscle weakness is a side effect of atenolol. I see that you also take Vytorin. It appears that symptoms of ALS,( Lou Gehrig's Disease) have been reported to the FDA in a higher than expected number of patients taking statins. ALS is a progressive motor neuron disorder with symptoms such as difficulty walking or standing, difficulty with fine motor skills and muscle paralysis.

Vytorin is a statin that lowers LDL and raises HDL. I believe Vytorin is a combination of Zetia and Zocor. I am not sure if the Vytorin will go with the Niaspam so you will need to ask your doctor that.

Someone suggested that I consider inner imaging screening (EBT Hart scan). I am on Lipitor and Vytorin, I was taken off of Benicar two months ago because of the back pain and an elevated CPK 200's. Recent blood test revealed my cholesterol at 118 but my CPK at 205 and still experiencing lower back back pain. My blood pressure is 110/70 to 120/80. No prior hart problems. Do you think I should consider this image screening?

s nightly from fears ranging from home invasions to mummies and monsters, he cannot watch any television shows or commercial s that show violence of anykind without closing his eyes or ears, we do not allow him to watch t.v. shows of that nature but sometimes a commercial will come on. His fears sometime lead to his stomach getting upset and vomitting, we keep thinking he will grow out of this but hasn't yet.

my daughter is 2 years old, and she's experiencing a seizure, her eyes blink rapidly...she's already taking her medication, but her pediatrician told me she is not allowed to watch television for at least a year or so but her pediatrician neurology, didn't mention anything about television ban, and i forgot to ask her about it, and now I can't get an appointment to meet her just to ask her about that...
