Hi all, About two months ago I started experiencing <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>vag</span>inal and vulva itching. I went to a gynecologist who diagnosed me with a yeast infection. I took the meds and no improvement. Then I was put on antibiotics for the burning, which didn't help anything at all. The doc then told me to take three diflucan (for a yeast infection), thinking I had a severe case. It didn't help. Has anyone else had this chronic itching and burning?
Hello, Foul smelling thick <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>vag</span>inal discharge is commonly due to <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>vag</span>inal infections. <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>vag</span>inal infections occur when bacteria, fungi or viruses grow in and around the vaginal area. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.

Ok so I got rid of my bv but my vulva still has an odor. I have nomore pain during sex, nomore heavy discharge and nomore itching. Just the vulva odor. I've checked to make sure it wasn't my discharge that was causing the smell, it has no odor to it. Now I know smegma smells but sometimes when I don't that yet it smells. I've tried so hard for so long to find answer but it seems like dead ends. I know bacteria causes bad odor and I've tried to find a why to kill it and get rid of it for good.
I recently turned 41 and have started having problems with dryness in the vulva leading to painful intercourse. At times it itches and the pain feels like cuts or like needles poking me. At times certain areas will bleed but not necessarily from having intercourse but I think its from the dryness. I have been taking birth control for a while to control heavy menstrual cycles and just recently found out that I am diabetic.

Hello, Without examination ,confirming a diagnosis is tough but it can be due to allergy to weeds, vulvovaginitis(inflammation of the vagina and vulva) ,pinworms and <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>vag</span>inal infections.Pinworms is a strong possibility because your daughter is also having itching in her private parts and moreover you help her wipe. I sincerely advise you to get a stool examination of yourself and your daughter done to rule out pinworms. If found negative then other possibilities should be probed. Hope it helps.
I have had burning , stabbing , twisting , throbbing feelings in my vulva area , now it seems a little better , more like a heavy feeling and buzzing , a little like cramp feeling . What causes this , I do wonder is it when you nerves are upset?
we rinsed off in the shower after we were finished and i put on my damp underwear and then sat down in the car and drove and accummulated more sweat between my legs. later that day my vulva became itchy and uncomfortable. i put on some vaginal anitfungal cream before i went to sleep but i woke up many times in the night due to the itching and could get no relief. the next day it was still itchy, but only mild. i put on the same cream and also used penaten cream. i got some relief.
I just had sex with my boyfriend of 4 years a few hours ago for about 30 minutes. About half an hour ago I laid down for bed and was feeling very uncomfortable in my <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>vag</span>inal area. It was like a burning sensation. After examining myself with a mirror, I realized that the skin right outside of my vagina is very swollen and it almost looks like large bubbles are beginning to form. I'm very concerned. I don't have health insurance so I cannot get this looked at right now by a Gyno.
Yes, it could be a yeast infection, other <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>vag</span>inal infection, or an STD... so it is always best to get it checked out by a doctor to find out for sure! In any case, your doc can likely prescribe you something to take away your symptoms...

I'm a 14 year old girl and 2 days ago my vulva lips and vagina area are very sore when I sit (or anything that uses the muscles around that area) I looked for a cyst of some sort but found nothing. I am not sexually active at all. What could it be and how can I help fix it?
Hi Im just wondering if white like dots through the skin all over the vulva is normal? They seem to be more prominent down the botton near the vaginal opening where the skin is darker and redder. is this just my skin? Some feel lumpy when i run my finger over them.
I have this white spot - it is not raised or anything inside vulva (<span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>vag</span>inal lip area). It tends to get itchy right before my period. I have had it for awhile and doctor took two second look at it and said it was fine but I wonder what it is. I was given steroid cream for it - doesn't seem like that will help it heal? Any thoughts. Again, flat white patch, small, no broken skin, not raised. Thanks.
Two swollen areas on my vulva. They look like blood blisters. One of them actually bleeds a little and the blood looks like it may be slightly pus-y though I'm not sure if that wasn't just due to where the blood was coming from.. I put Neosporin on them after my shower. Have recently become very sexually active (monogamously) and wondered if the added frequency could cause this. They don't hurt really. Color is normal around the vaginal area and there is no discharge or odor. Any thoughts?
I have white like dots through the skin of my vulva. All over. They seem to be more prominent in the redder areas at the bottom, closer to the vaginal opening. is this just my skin? Or could it be genital warts? I have felt thrush like symptoms recently too.
<span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>vag</span>inal itching could be due to thrush or fungal infection, bacterial infection, trichomonas infection or herpes simplex infection. It could be any other STD too. You need to get a complete STD panel done. A vaginal swab should be cultured. If you have a discharge too it could be either of thrush or fungal infection, bacterial infection, or trichomonas infection. Alternatively it could be Tinea cruris which is again a type of fungal infection and too much scratching could have caused the sores.
Hi, I've been experiencing this odd feeling in my vulva for a few months. The sensation feels like the area from above the clitoris down to the inner labia is shrinking or pulling in. It's the oddest feeling. I feel around to see if I can pinpoint where the sensation is focused and I have a hard time finding it. When I look at the area it seems like the labia are smaller too. It isn't painful but it is noticeable and odd.
I am just 21 years old , virgin and my vulva looks dark and almost black (not pitch black though) with wrinkled skin and asymmetrical labia minora . I want to know whether an ugly vulva is a problem during sex? Can it turn a man off ?
I had kind of an icky, burning feeling in my vulva, and I decided to take a look with a mirror. The inside of my vulva(Pretty much the WHOLE urethral and <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>vag</span>inal area)is a very pale, pale pink. Almost white in fact. I would describe it as having a sort of "blanched" appearance. My labia appear somewhat lighter as well. I at first thought it was discharge that had accumulated there, but I wiped it off, and it was still VERY pale. What could be causing this? Could this be from anemia?
vaginitis, which can be similar to the vaginal infections that human women get, or your dog could have an anatomical problem called a recessed vulva. A recessed vulva acts as a cup or capturing device for tiny amounts of urine. Over time the urine can grow bacteria which becomes trapped there. This problem is less common than simple vaginitis, but please have your vet check the area carefully, and if it is found to be a recessed vulva, surgery should take care of the problem.
In my opinion you are suffering from Pruritus Vulvae (Itchy Vulva), which is an acute or chronic disorder of the skin around the vulva (the <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>vag</span>inal lips) and anal region of women. It is due to various conditions like 1) Skin disease, such as psoriasis, dermatitis, lichen simplex, lichen sclerosus or lichen planus. 2) Systemic disease, such as diabetes mellitus.
I have always gotten these puss filled bumps on my vulva area and a doctor once told me it's a kind of bacteria that causes them and there's no cure. I have lived with this for years. But now, not only do I get those, but I have noticed that in the creases of my vulva, at the top, it looks like i have a rash on both sides. One side is now healing, but the other side itches so bad sometimes that the skin is starting to peel and everytime skin tries to heal I scratch again and becomes raw again.
I had oral sex with a man 2 months ago. He performed on me. Not vice versa. 2 days later, I had <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>vag</span>inal burning which my gynecologist deduced to be an allergy to a perfumed soap I was using. The skin around the vulvar region was really raw and red and swollen! The redness and the swelling went away when I stopped using the soap and the skin seemed to get better as well. Until this period ... the redness came back ... the burning came back as well.
