I then noticed that in between where my labia minora and labia majora meet, there was a redness, and it was almost raw-looking. It was the same length and on both sides of my vulva. It almost looked as if someone had taken their nails and scratched me on either side. I never had any blisters, and these (sores? scratches?) were not painful to the touch.

The thing is started having disconfort and redness in my vulva one day, I noticed it when I applied a vaginal spray. The next day I got more burning, a lot of burning, it hurt a lot and It was getting worse every minute. There was also swelling and redness and I thougth I saw a rash. By the third day I could hardly do anything, a lot of burning, I couldnt sit down or lie down, it made the pain/burning worse. I hardly slept.
I am a married woman. My husband and I haven't had sex in 2 months because of this. So here's the deal. I once got a "cold sore" in college and was diagnosed visually by a nurse practitioner. She prescribed Valtrex and a cream. Since then every so often I get a tingly sensation on my lip, I apply Abreva, it tingles, lasts a week, and goes away. I never get visible sores. I suffer from MS as well. Mid June I got my first yeast infection EVER!

And recently, I have seen very large and disturbing patches of white flaky skin and cuts on my vagina. I do have eczema. What could this be? My vulva and vagina opening have been itching and burning extremely as if I have a yeast infection and there is some mild pain behind that.
You need to treat the invisible infection on the vulva separate from the vagina and cerivix, and the peri anal needs separate treatment to. Cryosurgery works but getting a gyn to treat more then the vagina and cervix dysplasia is near impossible. I suggest finding Podophyllum Paint for the Vulva, buy a ton and its pain free mostly some stinging but it feels good killing the hpv type 16 or other bad type. The extreme itching goes away and any pain feels good compared to itching to death.
The skin around the vulvar region was really raw and red and swollen! The redness and the swelling went away when I stopped using the soap and the skin seemed to get better as well.
Until this period ... the redness came back ... the burning came back as well.
There is no itching and no redness. It is very sore, however. Should I go to the doctor? Did a blood vessel or vain break? Is it dangerous?
ve ever look closely enough before, but my outer labia, vulva, the area where my skin separates to become my vagina is a bit red. It is red on both sides, I haven't had sex in months, and it seems to be fairly constant, but may be worse in the heat. I'm just wondering if this is normal? I've been told the vagina should be pink, but just the areas on either side of my vagina near the top are a little darker. Can someone tell me if this is normal?
t as bad as the first (second time was only one ulcer on the vulva and the rest was red and sore with heavy white discharge, third time was just red and sore and itchy with a not-as-heavy yellowy discharge - first lesions I had 3 ulcers on the vulva and a semi-heavy white discharge).
I was also swabbed for other infections on the first and second visit and the only thing that came back positive was group strep B.
Back then I came down with atypical looking sores (long slits on vulva that looked like cuts), lower back pain, vulvar redness and pain, and fatigue. I had frequent outbreaks for about a year and a half after that and during that period got tested multiple times for HsV 1/2 IGG. Even months after the infection I only showed positive antibodies for HSV 1, which I always knew I had orally because I had cold sores as a kid. HSV2 antibodies were continuously negative.
Anyone have any ideas on how to address a constant redness & burning right outside the vagina? I've had it since February. My initial thought was that it was friction from exercising at Curves. But I finally went to my GYN and she tested me for an infection and said I had a vaginal infection. But I had no discharge or odor. Nothing but this redness and burning.
at age sixteen, i had what i believed to be a genital herpes outbreak-pain itching ulcers, around my vulva lasting for about two weeks. I did not go to the doctor at the time as i was a virgin and totally ashamed and embarassed. I assumed i had somehow transferred the virus from my mouth to my genitals myself. I have the white discharge (goes back and forth between curd-like and just thickened), SEVERE itching, and my vulva has gotten really red. The first month, I took OTC Monistat and it went away. The second time (exactly one month later), I took the Monistat again. The symptoms got a little better but never went completely away. Then, I went to my dermatologist (I take an antibiotic for acne) and she agreed it was a yeast infection and gave me Diflucan.
After I did some test and after being treated for the bacterial vaginosis, my vulva is still a little red and it still hurts and burns a little when I wear jeans or tight trousers (the redness and burning started even before the treatments, that's why I went to the doctor). I don't have any visivle blisters or lesions, I went several times to the doctor and she didn't see anything.
extreme pain during intercourse, occasional severe burning pain in the genital and bladder area during urination, extreme itching and dryness, discharge, I have burning pain in my upper abdomen from time to time that feels like an ulcer but I tested negative for, redness in the genital area. Please help us we need some answers.
