Common Questions and Answers about Vulva intercourse

vagina

I recently turned 41 and have started having problems with dryness in the vulva leading to painful intercourse. At times it itches and the pain feels like cuts or like needles poking me. At times certain areas will bleed but not necessarily from having intercourse but I think its from the dryness. I have been taking birth control for a while to control heavy menstrual cycles and just recently found out that I am diabetic.
First of all I apologize before hand for sharing TMI.......But....my vulva is very swollen!!!! I'm almost 30 weeks & noticed this morning how swollen my private is....its literally like bulging out!!! After a lot of intercouse between me and my significant other my vulva gets so irritated that I can't wear underwear. My gynecologist stated that my vulva may be abnormally large and there is a surgery to reduce the size to normal. Is this surgery safe and if I have it how long before I can have intercourse again?
It all started after I had sex with my boyfriend, it was protected sex. But now I have a itching sensation of the vulva and ammonia smell. It isn't always itching, just randomly it will itch. I just recently started getting a light yellow, snotty discharge and also a burning sensation when I pee and even when I am just sitting there I'll start feeling it.
Sounds like it could be thrush, which can have all of your listed symptoms. Have you had thrush before? It is basically a yeast infection caused by a build up of Candida albicaans. Some people get a yeasty smelling discharge as well. It is usually caused by an upset in the pH balance of your vagina. This in turn can be caused by things such as hormonal changes eg. around menstruation, taking antibiotics and also washing the area with soap.
I have white blood cells in my urine which would suggest either infection or inflammation but when I get a urine test it comes back with no growth. I have had burning pain in my urethra which has irritated my vulva and also I have the urge to pee even after I just have finished. I am waiting for a referral to a urologist but am in constant pain while i wait to get an appointment. What could be causing this and is there anything I can do to decrease the pain?
What will happen to the girl's vulva/vagina if she has a small partner and then she'll try to have an intercourse with a bigger guy? Will it make the vulva/vagina loosen or the opening big? And when they'll have sex with small guys again, would it be that loose or a sort of a toothpick in the mouth since a bigger penis already entered the vagina/vulva?
What does it mean when the vulva is always red, inflammed and sometimes itchy??
Hi Dr. Rockoff, I have a question for you regarding some spots I found on my vulva (3-4) a few months ago. They have been there since December. I initially was paranoid that I had genital warts, and I went to a gynecologist to have them checked out (this would have been pretty unlikely since I have never had intercourse but have had some genital contact). I spoke to a doctor and he thought it might be it but wasn't sure, and gave me some Aldara to take care of it.
we continued on with intercourse , as it didnt hurt too too badly. then as the day progressed it got redder and more painful. i looked down there again and now it looks like someone scratched me, but niether me or my boyfriend recall anything like that happening. also the area around my vulva is very sore to touch and itchy, but i think that this is due to an infected cyst i have had problems with lately. i am very concerned about this as i have no idea what it might be.
A couple days ago I got a cauliflower like bump ans a couple of skin grafts around my vulva. It's not any yup of std/sti, but I was wondering if any other woman is experiencing them? I'm not sure if it has something to do with my infection, it doesn't hurt at all and I can't feel it. I just can't get ahold of my doctor and wanted to make sure it was nothing to worry about.
No other symptoms recently, but during my daily self exam a few weeks back, I began to see a dark line on one side of the inner surface of my vulva just above the vagina. It is not tender, and does not burn or itch, but since yesterday, it has become a raised purple vein. I have had intercourse more frequently than "normal" for me during the last few weeks with no complications, but wonder if this is an issue of concern.
This might be long, but it's driving me nuts! I have no problem going to my gynecologist and seeing whats wrong, except I have horrible insurance, and I don't want to use all of our office visits (since we are only given 5). Anyways, I had symptoms of a urinary tract infection, constantly needing to urinate (but usually only a few drops came out), a lot of pain in my urethra because of this. I took a urinary pain relief tablet and it helped.
E where they said it was an inflammed lymph node. They didnt get me any anti-biotics but sent me home. Friday i noticed my vulva felt different but didnt take any notice, yesterday however it was so sore i thought it must be thrush. my groin is getting much better but now i have noticed white sores on my vulva and they are so painful. both my partner and I have been tested in the past for herpes and were found to be non-carriers but all the sites are saying this is herpes?
just some odor and watery fluid leaking from him when we had sex. i always burn after intercourse and most of the time get a severe bladder infection. pass blood in urine and pain and feel sick. if you go by the book, do you think he has infected me with something? in this 24 month time period or can the herpes 1 just now be active after 35 years or so.?
After sex I am extremely sore, and it feels as though the bottom of my vulva is ripped. It isn't my vagina that hurts, only the skin around the outside. Any ideas about what's wrong?
My partner accidentally penetrated my urethra instead of my vagina during intercourse. It wasn't painful but it was slightly uncomfortable and i didn't realise it was my urethra until after sex. And it feels a little weird when i pee. Would there be any risks for my partner and I? I also seem to have been developing an itch on my right labia for many months now. It is dry and itchy and a little swollen. Was is wrong with my private part?
Sounds like the semen is agitating your vulva, the entrance to the vagina gets easily irritated during pregnancy, dont let him finish in or on you!
For the past year, I have been experiencing burning and stinging in my vulva (which is NOT made worse by peeing), which comes and goes but can last for over a month and is extremely uncomfortable. The area looks normal, and there is no unusual discharge. The last time I had these symptoms was in March - they came on suddenly with a stinging sensation, and lasted for 6 weeks.
My partner notices it also, and I am slightly tender with deeper insertion during intercourse. Sure, I can possibly attribute this to pregnancy, but I can't be sure with all this other jazz. I swear I feel like posting caution tape and declaring my vagina to be condemned. I would really like to know if there is anyone who has the EXACT same symptoms as I do. I have seen lots of bits and pieces, but no one with the whole same story. I know we're all different, but for heaven's sake..
I have some white blisters on my vulva area. My fiance is a family practice physician and has diagnosed it as lichen sclerosus but I'm not convinced. I never had severe itching at all. It became painful about a week ago, I was on my period and was wearing tampons so perhaps that irritated the skin. We then had intercourse a few days ago which gave me a terrible burning feeling in my vulval area. When I looked at it the next day I noticed the blisters.
ok so what your saying is that a pregnancy risk only arises when there is penile penetration or contact of penis on vulva or in vagina? So my situation is no cause for alarm?
I had protected (condom) vaginal intercourse with a new partner a week ago and again two nights ago. The partner has not been tested for HSV but says he has never had any reason to believe he would be a carrier or at risk. The intercourse two nights ago was very rough and not enough lube was used. I was mildly sore and itchy yesterday, which I attributed to the rough sex and also from a yeast infection which I had treated a few days ago.
Hi. 2 days ago I noticed about 8 small red dots in my vulva. Its looks like its tiny blood filled blisters. They are about the size of moles and they are located along (on top of) a dark vein that runs vertically along my vulva (one on the left and about 6 or 7 on the right). They do not itch, burn, or tingle. I have not had sexual intercourse in 6 years and even then, it was with just 1 guy and always protected.

We use condoms, anyway, but I know he doesn't. I think I have cancer of the vulva because I have no visible lumps or bumps, but when I feel around the outside of my vagina, before the labia, I can feel a little hard spot on either side. It can be felt from outside the labia or inside the labia. It swells up a little and kind of burns right there before I have sex, but doesn't hurt afterwards. It only hurts when I am aroused.
The specialist has put me on a neurotransmitter medicine because she thinks the nerve endings in my vulva are misfiring, which sounds far fetched to me but at this point I'll try anything! I used to feel the rawness under the clit and between the inner labia that Gabby3 mentions a lot but not as much sense I’ve been going to the acupuncturist, however- it is very rare that I feel any itchiness.
Hi. I'm 19 years old and I had my first intercourse about 6 months ago. I didn't bleed during my first and I start bleeding and feel this pain for this late month. When I checked to the lab I was infected by candida sp. And doctor said that I have been infected for at least 1 year. I took the med the doctor gave me and 2 weeks after that I tried to have sex with my boyfriend but the pain was worsened than before I went to the doctor.
