Vomiting yellow vomit

Common Questions and Answers about Vomiting yellow vomit

vomiting

My 3 yr. old Shih Tzu has been vomiting yellow, slimy liquid yesterday and twice in the middle of the night. What is wrong?
almost every morning when i brush my teeth i vomit dark yellow is it normal? i am only a few weeks is only in the morning .
I would wait til tomorrow and see how you feel and if you are still miserable and are vomiting I would see a doctor as it could be the start of something more serious such as food poisoning, a reflux disorder, bowel obstruction, gall bladder etc. You can vomit a yellow watery substance for many reasons. My mom had a bowel obstruction about 3 years ago and was vomiting a yellow watery substance but I don't remember if she had any burning in her stomach or not.
I'm 9weeks pregnant and i don't know if its healthy or normal to be vomiting every morning when i try and brush my teeth and i vomit yellow since i don't have anything in my stomach?????????
I forgot to add the vomit is yellow and frothy sometimes with food particles. She has not had a change in her diet.
It probably IS bile - that's what the yellow color is. It looks that way when dogs vomit and they don't have any food in their stomachs. Any unexplained vomiting should be investigated, so take him to the vet. It might just be a bug, but it could be something more serious. Either way, your vet can give him meds to help with the nausea and vomiting. Is he eating and drinking OK?
Now two years later this problem is still going on for me I have been to several doctors about it but their answers never seem to be right to me. Every couple weeks I vomit. Its usually in the morning right after waking up but occasionally last all day. It is very painful because the vomit is usually dry and I have to cough it out unless it is bile. My stomach will feel like it is on fire occasionally also. Sometimes there is bright red steaks but I am not sure if it is blood or not.
you might advise her to get her gallbladder checked out. Vomiting bile (can be yellow colored or green) is sometimes not a cause for concern, as if her stomach was empty when she threw up....this would be the reason for bile to come up. Like I said, if all is fine now...no more issues, Id say she is ok....but if it starts happeneing on a normal occasion, might check it out to be safe.
For the past few months i have been periodically vomiting yellow stuff. It is usually in the mornings as soon as I wake up to use the restroom. I also never have a normal bowel movement. It is always, always diarrea. I often get hungry, but don't have an appetite to eat..If I do not eat anything my nausea lasts for hours. I am always tired. I have taken pregnancy tests that result in a negative, so i know i am not pregnant.
If you've eaten very little and your vomit was yellow, watery and horrid tasting it was probably bile (stomache juices) just means you had nothing else to throw up. It's quite normal, if unpleasant, even when not pregnant.
I vomited in the morning after a night of drinking. my vomit was first yellow, then turned yellow-reddish and at the end was a small amount of bright red blood. Is there something wrong with me or was this related to the drinking.
I have been vomiting this yellow, orange, white foamy mucusy texture type stuff about 5 days a wk for over 5 yrs.I have been to dr's and they have done ultra sounds on my gallbladder and say that it looks perfect. I have no insurance right now but I guess my question is "what other tests can I ask them to do or can this be from something else"?
Before that happens vomiting of bile juice (green-yellow coloured vomit) is a symptom. It happened to me after a total colectomy operation over five years ago and I was kept in hospital (with a nasal gastric tube to suck out the stomach contents) until the symptoms had passed and until I could hold down food normally.
About 3 months ago I started blacking out or falling unconscious or whatever you want to call it, along with bad migraines, abdominal pain, jaundice, extreme fatigue, and excessive amounts of vomiting. I'm not sure if the passing out and migraines are related to my stomach issues, but I was puking so much that I was hospitalized with dehydration and malnutrition, and my teeth turned yellow and the enamel has worn away.
If the vomiting produces a fair amount of yellow or yellow-green substance, it could be bile and it would reflect possible problems with the gallbladder.
This has not happened in a while, but the first day of my period, I wake up early then start to vomit. This goes on until about 2pm [very weird]. I try to sleep it off which works most of the time, but it has been getting worse. since it is the morning I wake up hungry, meaning no food in my stomach, so i throw up stomach acid for hours. I;m not sure if its rly stomach acid, its yellow/light/dark, and last time it was blood as well.
Any other kind of green tea can have additives that your stomach does not like and this may be causing your vomiting. You probably have burst a blood vessel and this may have caused blood in your vomit. Sometimes depending on how hard you cough or vomit this may happen. Hope this helps.
There is a medication called Cerenia, which is highly effective for vomitiing in dogs. It is also expensive. Beyond that, I have a doberman who has been vomiting now for more than a year and a half. He's had every test known to the veterinary world, without any abnormalities. My dog vomits only when his stomach is very empty, though. The Cerenia really, really helps. He's been on it for about 3 months now.
The rest of the night was hell. I kept waking up every so often and proceeded to vomit. It wasn't anything it was just that disgusting yellow bile. Since 11pm last night I have thrown up 6 times all of it being the bile. I cannot hold anything down. I had just a small drink of water and seconds later I had to rush to the bathroom. I don't know if this is pregnancy related or am I sick. I'm 9 weeks and haven't got sick before just nausea.
I had my gallbladder removed 6 years ago. Now i'm vomitng yellow billow and it is had for me to vomit.
As soon as get out of bed begin to cough and vomit hot clear to yellow bile.   This occurred last year about this same time.  I have tried Prilosec reglan Zantac Zyrtec     At one point was out back on Paxil then tried Lexapro.    This began again 2 weeks ago and I have lost 16 lbs with no appetite and inability to eat a whole meal.  I go to bed fearing that the cycle will return again every morning and sure enough it does.
I can almost brush all my teeth without getting sick, but cannot brush the insides of the back teeth without vomiting. I also cannot brush my tongue. So,I can brush them all and vomit or brush some of them and be kind of unclean. I can also use mouthwash. I know it's a gross conundrum I've gotten myself into, but I also know that the vomiting is corocive for my teeth. Also, after I vomit I feel really beaten up and want to crawl back in bed.

But he vomited 3-5 more times that day and only pooped one more time. He ate little food. At first the vomit was clear, then once it had food in it, and this morning he has gone to sniff at his food and walked away. He hasn't pooped again yet and has just vomited for the first time today, slightly yellow clear liquid, and it has a slight heavy scent to it. I'm not sure how to describe it. He is alert and a little interested in playing but mostly just curling up and looking around today.
She is not pooping as much as usual, and the one time she did, there seemed to be a lot of yellow grass like hay in her feces. The vomit also has some of the hay like grass in it. She is 15, does not see well. She is overweight, but much less that she was when she and my Mom came to live with us....we have helped her drop at least 20lbs. She is a bit stiff in the legs, wobbly when she has to go up or down the stairs at our front door (only 2, very wide).
I am a 70 yr old male and have had problem with chronic naseau and vomiting for about a year and a half now. My family doctor and my GI doctor diagnosed me as having irrriatable bowel syndrome and offered no solutions. From June 2010 unti July 2011 I lost 65 pounds including 30 pounds in 5 weeks of July 10.I finally went to the Cleveland Clinic for testing six times. They determined that my problem is not in my GI tract and that something else is making sick.
