Vomiting yellow in morning

Common Questions and Answers about Vomiting yellow in morning

vomiting

My dog has been vomiting in the morning about once or twice a week intermittently for a few weeks. She is 5, a mutt (my best guess is border collie and husky mix?) and otherwise seems fine. Before and after she vomits she doesn't seem to be bothered at all and is active and playful. I haven't brought her into the vet yet since it doesn't seem to be effecting her very much, but since it is happening on and off for a while now I'm starting to get concerned. Any recommendations?
Wow! This was me a few months ago. Daily morning vomiting, anxiety, lost nearly thirty pounds in a month. I went on Paxil and Klonopin and the vomiting stopped. Stomach issues were still there, but I stopped losing weight and vomiting. However, I think taking all the med on a distressed stomach may have injured it more. I now have unbearable stomach pain at night and nausea in the morning. I have been up four hours with the pain.
It is likely yellow because there is nothing in your tummy to throw up so you are throwing up stomach bile. It is very normal. Try eating something small before brushing your teeth, it might help.
Take omeprazole (empty stomach in morning) and antacid gel and see if it helps. Liver and kidney dysfunction is another cause. Hence kidney and liver function tests should be done. Other causes are diabetes and hypothyroidism. Electrolyte imbalance too can cause nausea. IBS, gluten or lactose intolerance, parasites in gut too can be the cause. A stool test should be done for worms, giardiasis etc. Also if nothing is found then food challenge test to detect food intolerance should be done.
Now two years later this problem is still going on for me I have been to several doctors about it but their answers never seem to be right to me. Every couple weeks I vomit. Its usually in the morning right after waking up but occasionally last all day. It is very painful because the vomit is usually dry and I have to cough it out unless it is bile. My stomach will feel like it is on fire occasionally also. Sometimes there is bright red steaks but I am not sure if it is blood or not.
You might need to go to a Dr. vomiting on that amout sounds like it must be something else. I used since I was a teenager for 15 years off & on taking WAY MORE then that and mixing. I cut down to 2/4 V, and a couple others here & there a day the last mo., and I'm only 115 lbs. No vomiting here & I'm in my 1st week. Get yourself checked & let keep me posted.....

I have a 9 month old spayed lhaso apso that within the last 2 weeks has started vomiting yellow bile only during the sleeping at night hours or early in the a.m. She's extremely healthy with a good appetite and bowel movements. She's very energetic. I feed her Beneful by Purina. She does not throw up during the day. We recently took her to the beach in california and she ate some sand, could this cause the problem? She has all of her current vaccinations.
This would happen several times a week, sometimes even after eating a small amount of toast or crackers she would still vomit out the window in the car on the way to school. She got in the habit of vomiting to get it over quickly while she was in school, because once she did she felt fine and could eat anything. The amount she vomits is very small and yellow, and she is extremely nauseated until this liquid is out of her stomach. She has no problems during the rest of the day or evening.
Commonest cause of chronic nausea or early morning nausea and vomiting is acidity. Take omeprazole (empty stomach in morning) and antacid gel and see if it helps. Liver and kidney dysfunction is another cause. I threw up everyday until week 20-24. Every morning I would throw up that yucky sour yellow stuff as well. I think it happens because you really don't have any food in your stomach. I can remember times when my urine was bright yellow. Continue to drink LOTS of fluids! And go see your doc about it!
But since then I have been getting sudden onsets of chills - being freezing, having migranes, and when i walk if there is pressure on my upper abdomen i spew up bile (and have to swollow it and is gross) I have been having diaorrhea - the other day was so sudden i unfortunately didnt make it to teh toilet and ranges in colour from almost yellow to black.
I vomited in the morning after a night of drinking. my vomit was first yellow, then turned yellow-reddish and at the end was a small amount of bright red blood. Is there something wrong with me or was this related to the drinking.
Just wondering, this morning i had some brown/yellow stool, more yellow, consistancy of toothpaste. I do have acid reflux, i take losec for it. I re-started taking losec yesterday, however lastnight i did have chinese food and took a b100. Would that be what caused the yellow stool.
I start heaving but don't throw up and this happens only when I brush early in the morning and happened in the past two days .. today was a little different, as I actually threw up and something really bitter and yellow (it even stained the sink for a bit, until i washed it down the drain) came out. Thinking that this is Bile or just some acids in my stomach, as I am feeling ravenous early AM. I still don't have a problem keeping my food down for the rest of the day. Not sure what this means?
How have you all handled morning sickness and how early did it start? I didn't get sick with my first pregnancy so I only know about crackers and ginger ale. Earlier I started to feel a little sick. Like I needed to vomit and kind of weak. I don't have any cash on me to go down to the canteen at work to get crackers. So I are some of my baby carrots and had some water. Then I took a nap on my 15 and I feel so much better. Odd but it worked for me.

Also have you been evaluated for gallbladder issues? All of those could in some individuals result in sulphur-like burping. If the vomiting produces a fair amount of yellow or yellow-green substance, it could be bile and it would reflect possible problems with the gallbladder.
When that happens, I have frequent bowel movement, between 3 to 5 times in the morning. My appetite is healthy, no fever, chills, nausea or vomiting. My gastro-specialist had me do all test, from celiac (blood & stool), Hepatitis, gall stones, colonoscopy, small bowel and upper GI series, malabsorption, and other tests, but, with the exception of some slight gastritis, the were all negative.
The only thing I drink is water and an ensure in the morning. I have not/do not drink pop, fruit juices, sugary stuff. I will drink decaf green tea with honey about 5 times a month.
