My father, at that point, had stopped eating and

insensible (he would usually sleep most of the day with his breath dragging - it sounded as if he was grasping for air after being choked). Although he was physically blunt, he was still mentally able and
felt (He managed to lift his spirits, gather the last of his strength and
give my sister and
I a hug before he left for hospice).
