Vomiting yellow bile while pregnant

Common Questions and Answers about Vomiting yellow bile while pregnant

vomiting

It wasn't anything it was just that disgusting yellow bile. Since 11pm last night I have thrown up 6 times all of it being the bile. I cannot hold anything down. I had just a small drink of water and seconds later I had to rush to the bathroom. I don't know if this is pregnancy related or am I sick. I'm 9 weeks and haven't got sick before just nausea. I don't know if I should call doctor or just see if it passes. I also have a horrible headache that's not going away.

Hi, I had all those awful symptoms while i was pregnant with my now 21 month old daughter. About 3-4 times a week i would get rotten egg burps and a very sore stomach that would get worse and worse till i vomited a few times then it would go away. It lasted about 6-10 hours and sometimes it would get so bad i would go to the hospital but usually i was in the vomiting stage so by the time i was examined i would be better.
I have a 9 year old Aussie that vomited yellow bile ALOT mostly in the morning on an empty stomach. We spent years changing dog food and trying to figure it out. A new vet suggested an acid controller at bedtime, like Prilosec. We never had another problem. The generic from Walmart is very inexpensive. I hope this helps alot of dogs. This seems to be a very common problem.
Gave her a bath, she calmed down chnaged into jammies then vomited again in my bed! she kept vomiting until it was all green bile! I rushed her to the er. The doc looked at her vomit (i brought the bucket) he said bile was normal. He gave a drug caled Zofran used for nausea and vomiting in cancer patients. Well it worked, she was jumping up and down on her hospital bed. Weds she was fina all day back to herself, thursday morning she was fine too. I put her to bed and bam she vomits again!!
I'll be 46 at the end of this month & just moved to a new state so I don't have the luxury of knowing any doctors. In the last 1-2 months I suddenly gained 40 + lbs & look pregnant. That seems to be where the weight all is. A urinalysis proved negative for pregnancy on Monday & with my 3 grown kids I did not gain this much weight &/or so fast. I just look pregnant & feel "full - heavy - tired & short of breath" most of the time.
Within days, I felt better than I had felt in years. Then, 2 weeks later, I got pregnant for the first time. My husband and I had been trying for a while. I have a beautiful 8 month old now. Also, I had become intolerant of several foods, such as all dairy, and now I can tolerate these foods again. Just not gluten. And I was totally unaware of the problem before I went gluten free (could not see any connection between how I was feeling and the consumption of gluten).
I never had neither on either of my pregnancies so don't worry about it
But when I'm at work or running errands and can't stop to eat, it makes me sick and I throw up yellow bile. It happens almost every morning. I'll be 25weeks Sunday. My nausea has improved 100% but early in the am I wake up starving and it just comes up. My doc says its fine and normal but I'm just curious bc I've never read any other posts about this.
tell your doctor if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding. If you become pregnant while taking co-trimoxazole, call your doctor. plan to avoid unnecessary or prolonged exposure to sunlight and to wear protective clothing, sunglasses, and sunscreen. Co-trimoxazole may make your skin sensitive. What **side effects** can this medication cause? Co-trimoxazole may cause side effects.
i can almost guarantee i was not throwing up bile because bile has an awful taste, this had no smell but was clear with a bit of yellow in and of course i was coughing up the blood tinged mucous. I havent been coughing up much mucous so far... well i am back off to bed or try and sleep lol thanks alot ladies.
) I thought I was the only one with the brushing the teeth problem, this is too funny.
and one time I actually had the doctors tell me nothing is wrong with me, its all in my head...while I was vomiting yellow bile. Also I have been told its my depression and to see my shrink. I have lost almost 80 pounds since this all started and now the symptoms seem to be getting worse and not better. I am in chronic pain everyday on my right side and abdomen, the pain has actually moved over to my lower left side and sometimes goes into my back.
I'm a 26 year old female and I've been constantly nauseous for about 2 weeks now and I often vomit up bile because of it, and if I'm not vomiting, I'm dry heaving. I don't have health insurance but I do work full time and go to school, so this is really affecting me as I can't even make it into work. I have no desire to eat anymore (and haven't been eating, sometimes I can keep down applesauce but thats it), I barely can keep down water.
All stools are green at some point. They change from yellow to green to brown as they pass through the system. Bile that cannot be reabsorbed in the intestine can cause a yellow or green stool color. Common occurances are (in addition to the obvious eating of spinach and green crayons): 1. undigested milk in babies 2.
Operetion was successfull and we spent a wonderful 1 month together at home. He had some yellow colored vomiting issues but the amounts were not large and he was gaining good weight and I was even only breastfeeding him. We were told he had reflux and used some med. to treat this. When he was 1.
Not only am I still have attacks, which is why the gallbladder was removed in the 1st place, but because it's gone, the bile that trickles has caused bile gastritis. I was pretty much told that bile gastritis can be treated, but not cured & I will take meds for the rest of my life. How will this affect me when I choose to get pregnant? Why am I still having gallstone attacks w/ no gallbladder? What is the constant burning in the pit? Life on a daily basis consist of pain & discomfort.
Yesterday morning I woke up in unbearable pain with a severe headache, and vomiting. I went to the ER and was told they could do nothing for me until the Hidascan came back. I was given a RX for the pain and nausea, and it is working so far today. My question is,if the Hidascan shows nothing, which it may because the Lab worker doing the test said it looked normal.
It looks like I have been 9 months pregnant for the last three years. This disorder is passed on through generations and someone in your family must have had it in the past (review your family history). The only cure is transplant, but it is not a life-threat disorder in itself. It is very rarely caught because of how similar it could be to other things and how rare it is. More women than men are candidates for this disorder (I am male).
One is thought to be 3/4 inch in diameter. For a while, I was having SEVERE pain and vomiting, but have not had an attack for over a month. I went to the surgeon and found out about the surgery, but am still unsure. Any comments, suggestions, or opinions on the surgery are welcomed. I am very apprehensive, especially after reading most of your comments. Can I live a long healthy life with these stones in my gallbladder? All the surgeon wants to say is "Take it out!

The vomiting is almost a relief b/c it stops the cramping. I vomit until yellow bile and then dry heaves follow. I don't understand how so many people have these symptoms with no diagnosis. My doctor wants and endoscope perfomed but I am currently w/o Health Insurance and just spent $600.00 on blood work which didn't indicate any problems. I think we should start sharing other medical problems so we can see if there are any common factors.
They removed that and went ahead and removed my appendix while they were there. Now, at 7 months pregnant, I have been to the hospital in pain to find out that I have several small galstones. Unfortuatally there is nothing they can do until the baby is born. The thing that confusses the doctors is that, instead of food irritating the stones, food helps the pain go away. I usually have the pain when I am hungry(usually first thing in the morning)and when I eat the pain goes away.
00 p.m. I was so nauseated and starting vomiting. I was vomiting brown, yellow and foamy white stuff. My mom called the doctor so he prescribed phengran and told me not to take my vicodin. Also told me to eat a cracker and milk and not lay down and walk around and call him in an hour. It still didn't help. I continued to get sick. He then said go to the emergency that was around 6:00 p.m. Said he was calling them to let me know I was coming.
Hector, you asked me about a few things...... 1. No ascites 2. No internal bleeding 3. No vomiting 4. No swelling except in joints and from the Prednisone 5. No memories issues out of the ordinary, I have always made lists 6. Medium Varices 7. Portal Hypertension 8. Jaundiced while on Imuran 9. Mildly enlarged spleen These items are all consistent with compensated cirrhosis.
unbelievable pain and lasted all night vomiting bile and blood. The ER docs scanned the heck out of me with contrast dye and could see no liver or pancreas or duct problems. I stayed in the hospital for five days to calm the pancreas and remove the gall bladder (no stent.) The pancreatitis remained chronic after that with mild elevations of enzymes. 200mg Imuran was of no help for me at all. I had run the course of drugs for lupus so was given rituximab off-label.
The pains that you describe are not typical for ulcer disease, pancreatitis or common bile duct stones.
I am terrified I will starve to death because I can never eat. I have to spend half the week curled in bed with stomach pains while trying to nurse and care for my toddler. It is depressing beyond all means. From reading others around the internet world I know this is a viable problem and is not a simple "stomach virus". Does anyone have some answers for what this could be, possible medications to treat it, and prognosis? Thank you!
