It is spead from person to person by fecal oral contamination.

Day one my 7 year old child had fever, stomach pain and vomiting... last 24 virus.... but since them with exception of fever every 3 days she weaks up during the night vomiting and having stomch pain that last 24 and reocurring in a pattern of 3 days....I just took her to the doctor... I was informed that is a virus and I should treat only with antibiotics... I wonder if it is not necessary having blood test done...

I was in construction site this morning, my coworker allowed me to use his personal gloves ( waterproof, windproof) because my hands are freezing, i had a small wound in my hands that time and it is not actively bleeding, and i noticed that my coworker have a small wound in his hand, I would like to ask if i put my risk to contract hiv virus in my case, the gloves is windproof so no air should penetrate inside the gloves,

i took him to the er and they ran test but did not find anything.they said it was a virus. they gave him a prescription for phenigan. but he still is sick.

What's up. Is there a virus out there that can cause hair loss, chronic fatigue, recurring sore throat, muscle weakness, pale face, longer healing process for cuts and bruises, sensitive skin, motion sickness, and sleepiness.

This would recur almost weekly or at the most 3 weeks all during the winter and until April and now again in June I have this same virus or whatever it is. What could this be? Why does it keep hitting me again and again? Doctor did not really know or have any help.

t been in here for awhile, My husband has esld, Had Hep C ,took harvoni and was cured.

But I had at last winter and I just got over it again today. I was up all night vomiting (yellow/greenish mucus) but not any food. It just lasted 24 hours but I still took off work a 2nd day to recuperate. My question is, is it common for an adult to get the stomach flu once a year? I know I caught it from my son who's 13, he had it last week,then my husband was sick but he just had diarreah. Please tell me if there anyone else out there who has bouts with this awful flu once a year?

I imagine a virus would be vomiting during the day and maybe a temp? Also would it go on for 3 weeks? Doc has not mentioned testing anything, just referred us to childrens hospital. Don't know how long we will have to wait on that.

So, it could be the stomach virus. You're still sick even if you inhibit vomiting. Glad that worked for you! The other possibility is that perhaps you had a touch of food poisoning but with your house having a stomach virus, likely you did as well and while the meds you took (don't take someone else's meds, take only what is prescribed by a doctor for you personally)--- stopped vomiting, it doesn't mean you didn't have the virus and other effects of it.

Over our winter (southern hemisphere June-August) she has had several bouts of vomiting, only once with diaohrrea. She goes low quickly and develops high ketones over a period of hours, which always ends up with us being admitted to the local children's hospital for her to go on a glucose drip to get her BGLs high enough to administer insulin to then bring the ketones down. It is very worrying and has happened so often they know us by name at the hospital!

Then three days later on the Friday my husband started vomiting and having diarrhea every 10 minutes or so I brought him in and they gave him the same thing and sent him home. Saturday he had a fever of 102 so I brought him back and they kept him overnight. They did multiple blood tests and stool cultures but all they found was a slightly elevated white blood cell count and his stool culture came back clean so they aren't sure what it was.
