Common Questions and Answers about Vomiting up small amounts of blood

vomiting

Avatar f tn Hey ladies. I am 12 weeks and for the past few days when I awake in the morning, I spit out small amounts of blood. It always stops. I'm not sure what it could be. I have yet to be able to see my IV he is out the office a lot. Anyone else experience this before?
1105389 tn?1258003525 i had this when carrying my first child and worst of it started at 4 weeks pregnant, it peaked at 12-17 weeks pregnant where i was sick 30 -50 times a day, this led to me vomiting some blood in small amounts, due to bursting blood vessels when retching, and the stomach lining being irritated due to volumes and frequency of vomiting, if your girlfriend has similar symptoms it may be worth seeing your gp/ or maternity consultant as this condition can lead to dehydration, if it not these symptoms
Avatar f tn ive had bad morning sickness both times and ive puked up blood. My doctor told me it happens time to time.
Avatar m tn So I went to the toilet and forced my self to be sick, gagging quite a few times, then large amounts of food started coming up, then about a hand full of red fresh looking blood came up. I have no abdominal pain or burning etc. Do you think this could have been a result of something tearing in my system or could it be a bleeding ulser? I was worrried so the next day I drank just water and forced myself to be sick and only water came out. Please help.
Avatar f tn WaitingForOct .. While I was puking small amounts of blood came up and it was from me vomiting cause I kept puking and started having acid reflux come up its from forcing yourself too much .. my doc said it's okey and happens to alot of women and isn't serious UNLESS your puking clumps of blood not just lil bit.
Avatar f tn This is totally normal.A a ftm I began spitting up small amounts of blood, and when I would blow it would be a small amount as well for about 20 minutes. This happened for me at night or when my nose was dry.It began at like 20 weeks I am now 27 weeks and the bleeding has stop.Dont worry just monitor it.Good luck!
Avatar f tn This can cause a dog to die in a matter of hours. On the other end of the scale is a simple inflammation of the stomach. But in any case, as Dr. Mathis said, this is a matter for a doctor to diagnose and treat directly. Also much to discuss afterwards like diet, follow-up treatments, prevention of the problem and so on. Please get your dog in today!
Avatar n tn Sometimes dogs will produce large amounts of acid if they go too long in between meals. While this is more common in bulldogs, it can happen in any breed. It sounds like this is what is happening with your lab. You can apply a quick fix to this by feeding him a biscuit or two very late at night. This should keep his hunger down and the acid in his stomach to a minimum until breakfast.
Avatar f tn Then went to get seen(I am in the National guard) and I was training at the time this occoured and I was seen and they did a urine test, and found trace amounts of blood in my urine. They then gave me meds for the nausa and put fluids in me. I was still throwing up and still not eating much. The thing is I tried the whole brat diet( and it didnt work) went back in 3 days later- still no changes, more meds again, and then they decided that again they would due another urine test.
Avatar n tn Anyone figured out the secret to keeping your blood sugar up and your food down? My nausea is keeping me from eating the way I'm supposed to with my hypoglycemia.
Avatar f tn Most recently in the last two weeks, I have noticed small amounts of bright red blood along with some mucous when I go. This obviously has me concerned, and I have appointments with both my general practitioner and a GI specialist in the coming weeks. I started taking probiotics every day last week, along with Benefiber. The first few days of this I felt pretty good, but have still had the same issues this week.
Avatar f tn I have been vomiting for the last 6 days. I don't have any other symptoms. I can usually keep liquids down in small amounts. Occasionally, I can keep small amounts of soup down but that's about it. I am not pregnant. I do have a lap band that I have had for almost 5 years. I don't believe it's causing the vomiting. I'm not getting stuck and throwing up. I am throwing up from my actual stomach, not my pouch. There has been no fever, headache, chills, or heartburn.
Avatar f tn If you are feeling weak dizzy headaches with that badof vomiting its signs of dehydration you need to get yourself to the er...
Avatar n tn Yesss, it sometimes helps to nibble small amounts of nuts or cheese to subside the nausea, but oh my god it is awful. Also right at seven weeks, and my job is very physically intense and I'm getting short of breath SO easily its constantly being exhausted!
Avatar f tn U ll need antibiotics.... Other than that drink plenty of fluid coz small amount of bugs can cause dehydration... Of u cant keep anything down try eating something more fluid such as soups etc... If it remains more than three days and no changes appear seriously make an appointment...
351846 tn?1273615544 It sounds like your wife had a duodenal ulcer, and one in the small intestine, which would have required part of her small intestine be removed not just the stomach. I would seek a second or even third opinion on this. Good luck and take care.
341655 tn?1240368839 I recently had a flareup of my UC after being in remission for about 1 year and its been terrible...the pain, diarrhea, and occassional small amounts of blood. I was just released from the hospital for severe dehydration and but my veins blew(all of them) and was unable to get rehydrated the last day, now i'm having severe symptoms and see my doc tomorrow but how do I insist on him doing something more than a shot of steroids and making an appt for the following week?
Avatar n tn There can be situations whereby infections or damage to the nasal cavity can cause minor bleeding, this then overnight has chance to pass down the pharynx into the trachea resulting in a 'bloodied' mucus. However, in this case it is impossible to make any form of diagnoses without knowing a little bit more about your situation. How long this has been going on for? Also do you smoke? Is the blood present as a pink mucus or as diluted blood (ie with saliva)?
Avatar n tn Also -- we were hoping a feeding tube could be used to drip tiny amounts of fluid into his stomach in a very passive way over a long period of time (he HATES to eat or drink) even though he doesn't want to die -- but I had no idea that could make him vomit too??? Help!
Avatar n tn About 3 months ago I started blacking out or falling unconscious or whatever you want to call it, along with bad migraines, abdominal pain, jaundice, extreme fatigue, and excessive amounts of vomiting. I'm not sure if the passing out and migraines are related to my stomach issues, but I was puking so much that I was hospitalized with dehydration and malnutrition, and my teeth turned yellow and the enamel has worn away.
