I need help.I have an obese 8 year old siamese cat that underwent intestinal surgery last week for an obstruction. He ate my baby's bath toy- alphabet letter made of foam. The surgery went well as the foam was already in the colon and was "milked" out. I brought "George" home the next day due to the impending hurricane-IKE. I am ecstatic to hear the prescription food is helping. Both cats liking it is definitely a plus! :) If they were eating too much, they'd likely vomit some of the food instead of just bile. Please do not be upset because of how your vomit appears. I had a Nissen in April of 08 and have had mega problems since. One is an increase in phlegm and when I throw up I literally "foam at the mouth" One would think I have rabies! I can go longer eat bread, buns, etc (unless toasted) and have had to stop with dairy products or the phlegm it produces would choke me. My doctor said I had acid reflux and a vitamin b12 deffecincy but the medication seemed to worsen my symptoms making me vomit a lot more ( a lot more bile and also foam even making it come up my throat without vomiting) and feel nauseus almost everyday so I took myself off of it. 4 mos ago Iad a still-unexplained attack of hives, and same time to have a feeling of obstruction in my throat. Hives disappeared, but felt as though there was gas in my chest I couldn't get rid of. I definitely think you should take him to the vet. Vomiting whte foam CAN be a symptom of bloat (which is a serious medical emergency) -since he has had this for 3 days, it doesn't quite sound like bloat, as bloat comes on very suddenly and can literally kill within the hour! But it's probably more likely he has a bad tummy upset. Drinking a lot and peeing a lot could also be a symptom of a few problems, from kidney troubles to diabetes, and a number of other things.
