Avatar n tn Cocaine withdrawal often has no visible physical symptoms like the vomiting and shaking that accompanies the withdrawal from heroin or alcohol. In the past, people underestimated the addictive properties of cocaine.
Avatar n tn Not wanting to eat is not as much of a concern as not drinking is - a child can dehydrate very quickly and dehydration can be very serious, especially in a child. Dehydration will also happen a lot faster if the child is also vomiting and/or has diarrhea or a fever. Please do not hesitate - take your child to the ER. Please let us know what you find out and how your child is doing. Best of luck!
436973 tn?1217947089 Hi, my cat does this sometimes a couple of times a week and goes on a couple of weeks break and also acts perfectly fine-playing, eating, etc. I'm a little worried, too. But, she seems fine! What I plan to do is to give her a hairball remedy twice a week and see how that goes. I'd try that with your kitty, too. It's cheap and worth a try with our cats especially since there's no other symptoms.
Avatar n tn I am 6+1 and I haven't had the morning sickness kick in full force yet. I'm having to choke down food but no vomiting. I also have a toddler. Dreading when the vomiting starts! Maybe this babe will be a boy and I won't have any morning sickness because with DD I was barfing from 6 weeks well into mid-2nd tri. No advice, just empathy.
Avatar f tn Its tough when they are that little. Pedialyte will be of no help unless they have vomiting and diarrhea. As for meds, unless they have an ear infection or something bacterial meds won't be of any help. There are a lot of viruses going around now, including influenza... you should take them to be checked out by the pediatrician just to be safe.
Avatar f tn So my daughter has had trouble with vomiting 3-5 nights a week since she was a toddler (she is almost 11). She has been diagnosed with Asthma and a few environmental allergies. Her allergist stated that the vomiting is due to the asthma. However, I am starting to suspect the opposite may be true. I know vomiting is not good for her esophagus. She does not experience pain before vomiting.

You can find it at usually any chemist or pharmacy (I live in England so we say chemist!) Here is a link to the official website of the Dramamine medicine: http://dramamine.com/ I hope this helps!
Avatar f tn I have a 2 yr old that started with vomiting 2 weeks ago. Afetr 3 days of vomiting and stomach cramping almost mainly at night, he was admitted to the hospital for dehydration and testing. the Dr ordered blood testing, urine testing, and xray. He seemed to get better and testing showed nothing out of the ordinary. He was released on the third day, but began vomiting as soon as we got home. He was readmitted on the next day.
Avatar f tn Is this just me? How long would it take more for me to enjoy my pregnancy? Does anyone know any remedy of my sicknesses??
Avatar f tn I think if they get themselves worked up enough they can ,have you asked his teacher how he gets on there, are there any problems with other children ,he may also have learned if he throws up he will get to go home, maybe ask teacher to start to keep him there. It may also be a good idea as he is throwing up a lot to take him for a check up at the doctor's .
Avatar n tn My son is 3 yrs old. I took him last Sunday to the pediatrician for vomiting. Prior to that I took him 2 weeks ago for cough and chest congestion. My son has had a bad cough for over 4 weeks and starting on Sunday he was vomiting, naseous, complete loss of apetite. The pediatrician drew blood, ordered a chest x-ray and put him on a nebulizer treatment. He said that his chest was congested and the vomiting was probably due to that or a small virus.
Avatar f tn Sporadic contractions, first 2 hours 5 mins apart then for an hour 2 mins then for an hour 7 minutes apart then every 10 or 20 or hour, lasts anywhere from 10 to 40 seconds. What the hell is this, stomach bug? My toddler has a stomach bug we think, maybe. Jesus who else Iis going through this.
Avatar f tn Preg gie pops did not work as well as I expected chewing gum or mints helps just as much if not more and they cost less. Ginger does not help me it actually makes it worse :( . Pickle juice gives me relief (oddly) and salt and vinegar chips. I'm hoping the nasea and vomiting go with the 1st trimester (10w 4d) but if it continues or worsens I plan on asking my doctor about vitamin b6.
Avatar f tn However today she just through up what looked like a hair ball then a bit of brownish liquid. After vomiting she lost he balance her rear legs gave out then she stumbled forward about 10 mins after she was eating and drinking water and seems completely fine. Is this something I should be concerned about? Should I bring her to the vet or is this somewhat normal for a cat who has never vomited?
Avatar n tn I am hoping someone can please help me. I have been taking my son to a pediatric gastroenterologist for 9 months or more now because he was refusing to eat and had periods of recurring vomiting (not cyclic vomiting) and very low weight. He was diagnosed with Noonan Syndrome (via genetic testing) and the Gastro put him on 30mg Prevacid for GERD. Nevertheless, the vomiting and not-eating continues.
Avatar n tn He may have a digestive problem. Has your pediatrician looked for food intolerance?.
7677085 tn?1395374075 Okay I know this is the wrong forum to post this on, but my little girl (eighteen months today) has puked about eight times in less than twelve hours. i checked the toddler forum and the pediatric forum and they rarely get any replies, so I'm begging for help from mommies on here! I took her to her pediatrician and he told me what to watch for (danger wise). I'm looking for comfort techniques and advice on how she should sleep tonight.
Avatar f tn I am 36weeks preg with baby #2 i woke up at 6am throwing up its now 9 am i cant keep anything down not even sprite .. my toddler seems to be okay .. but i am having stomach cramps like crazy and feelibg very dizzy this isnt pregnancy sickness... just wondering how long i should wait till i call doc?
Avatar f tn t tell if we are dealing with behavioral issues or not, because he will go a month without vomiting and then go for 2 mos vomiting more than twice a day. When he is in a cycle of vomiting, he throws up sometimes more than 4 times a day. Worst times seem to be in the morning and at bedtime. So, he throws up in his bed quite a bit too. He has GERD. He has been tested for gastroenteritis, had done an upper GI, a CT and also endoscopy with normal results.
1399155 tn?1280624978 i was wondering if its normal for a toddler to get blood sugars over 200 and not be a diabetic ? My son is 2 and we have had on 4 separate occations of blood sugar over 200 and one was over 300 , it is starting to concern me. I have heard that only diabetic should go over 200. yes i do wash his hand before testing my mother and a few cousins are diabetic so i have been testing him once and a while. he now is also drinking and peeing alot.
Avatar m tn s a homeopathic remedy called nux vomica that might help with the vomiting without interfering with medications -- inexpensive and worth a try. Ridgecrest Herbals makes a good migraine remedy, but I don't know how it will do in your case, it being unusual.
Avatar f tn Has anyone tried this supplement as a remedy for nausea in the first trimester? Super bad nausea (not so much vomiting) and no appetite. I'm open to suggestions. Crackers, Ginger ale... Not doing it. Thanks!
Avatar n tn I'd give it a day or two. Cats have very sensitive stomachs-they get upset very easily. Also, since he's long-haired, it very well could be hairballs. I'd start giving him either a hairball remedy or white petroleum jelly every single day to prevent this. Give him about a marble size glob....see if he'll lick it off your finger, and if he doesn't put it directly in the side of his mouth. I give the petr. jelly every day to my cat, and she gets hairballs a lot.
894095 tn?1248878718 Well I soon remembered the horrible feeling associated with detox. The worst for me is the vomiting, it is so intense and un stopable, followed by intense sweating and fever. I took 2mg of xanax at 3am after I couldnt fall asleep I was just feeling absolutely horrible. To my suprise the next morning I awoke feeling not as bad as I would have thought I guess, but still had and jumped right back on them. That was a fun experiment. not..
