Common Questions and Answers about Vomiting toddler molars

vomiting

Avatar f tn I have 122 days too. I'm in no hurry though. I just spent most of the night up while my toddler works through getting her two year molars. She's not the best of sleepers anyway. I'm not sure how I'm going to handle a toddler and a baby plus two other kids too. Hubby works out of town during the week so it's all on me.
Avatar f tn Actually my little one is so excited always talking about it and going in the nursery to look at stuff lol mine is finishing cutting his 2 year molars so I figure its been that plus he ran a fever for a couple days.
Avatar f tn t seem affected by the eye at all ... pain on right teeth molars from teething but no direct pain seemingly to eye. Very active toddler ... no problems noted with walking, etc. I would rather not pay to bring him into opthamologist, but will if warranted. We have just moved to MI and are in-between jobs (so no health care insurance currently, can't afford cobra rates). Any ideas on what this could be?
Avatar n tn Not wanting to eat is not as much of a concern as not drinking is - a child can dehydrate very quickly and dehydration can be very serious, especially in a child. Dehydration will also happen a lot faster if the child is also vomiting and/or has diarrhea or a fever. Please do not hesitate - take your child to the ER. Please let us know what you find out and how your child is doing. Best of luck!
Avatar n tn I am 6+1 and I haven't had the morning sickness kick in full force yet. I'm having to choke down food but no vomiting. I also have a toddler. Dreading when the vomiting starts! Maybe this babe will be a boy and I won't have any morning sickness because with DD I was barfing from 6 weeks well into mid-2nd tri. No advice, just empathy.
Avatar f tn Its tough when they are that little. Pedialyte will be of no help unless they have vomiting and diarrhea. As for meds, unless they have an ear infection or something bacterial meds won't be of any help. There are a lot of viruses going around now, including influenza... you should take them to be checked out by the pediatrician just to be safe.
Avatar f tn So my daughter has had trouble with vomiting 3-5 nights a week since she was a toddler (she is almost 11). She has been diagnosed with Asthma and a few environmental allergies. Her allergist stated that the vomiting is due to the asthma. However, I am starting to suspect the opposite may be true. I know vomiting is not good for her esophagus. She does not experience pain before vomiting.
Avatar f tn I have a 2 yr old that started with vomiting 2 weeks ago. Afetr 3 days of vomiting and stomach cramping almost mainly at night, he was admitted to the hospital for dehydration and testing. the Dr ordered blood testing, urine testing, and xray. He seemed to get better and testing showed nothing out of the ordinary. He was released on the third day, but began vomiting as soon as we got home. He was readmitted on the next day.
Avatar n tn My son is 3 yrs old. I took him last Sunday to the pediatrician for vomiting. Prior to that I took him 2 weeks ago for cough and chest congestion. My son has had a bad cough for over 4 weeks and starting on Sunday he was vomiting, naseous, complete loss of apetite. The pediatrician drew blood, ordered a chest x-ray and put him on a nebulizer treatment. He said that his chest was congested and the vomiting was probably due to that or a small virus.
Avatar f tn is he teething at all? During all this my son was cutting his first molars and was drooling like crazy. That was part of what the cough was. At night while sleeping, the mucus would pool in his mouth and throat causing him to cough badly. I use the baby vicks (make sure it's the baby vicks) on his back and chest as well as keep a cool mist humidifier going in his room. It seems to help a little. Good luck.
Avatar f tn Sporadic contractions, first 2 hours 5 mins apart then for an hour 2 mins then for an hour 7 minutes apart then every 10 or 20 or hour, lasts anywhere from 10 to 40 seconds. What the hell is this, stomach bug? My toddler has a stomach bug we think, maybe. Jesus who else Iis going through this.
Avatar n tn I was recently referred to a dental surgery clinic to have 4 of my molars "surgically removed" I was told by my dentist that I would be sedated & my molars would be removed surgically- However upon my appointment with the Dental surgeon it was suggested that I not be sedated but given the usual local anesthetic and have my molars pulled... During the procedure the surgeon broke the top off of 3 of the molars- then explained that he was removing the roots..
Avatar f tn Hello there everyone. Due to night-time grinding, I have substantially worn down three adjacent molars on my LOWER jaw, so I've been fitted with a hard plastic "night guard" to wear on my UPPER jaw. My question is, I'm worried that this will allow the night guard's plastic to rub back and forth against the worn molars.
Avatar n tn I am hoping someone can please help me. I have been taking my son to a pediatric gastroenterologist for 9 months or more now because he was refusing to eat and had periods of recurring vomiting (not cyclic vomiting) and very low weight. He was diagnosed with Noonan Syndrome (via genetic testing) and the Gastro put him on 30mg Prevacid for GERD. Nevertheless, the vomiting and not-eating continues.
Avatar n tn He may have a digestive problem. Has your pediatrician looked for food intolerance?.
7677085 tn?1395374075 Okay I know this is the wrong forum to post this on, but my little girl (eighteen months today) has puked about eight times in less than twelve hours. i checked the toddler forum and the pediatric forum and they rarely get any replies, so I'm begging for help from mommies on here! I took her to her pediatrician and he told me what to watch for (danger wise). I'm looking for comfort techniques and advice on how she should sleep tonight.
Avatar f tn I am 36weeks preg with baby #2 i woke up at 6am throwing up its now 9 am i cant keep anything down not even sprite .. my toddler seems to be okay .. but i am having stomach cramps like crazy and feelibg very dizzy this isnt pregnancy sickness... just wondering how long i should wait till i call doc?
Avatar f tn t tell if we are dealing with behavioral issues or not, because he will go a month without vomiting and then go for 2 mos vomiting more than twice a day. When he is in a cycle of vomiting, he throws up sometimes more than 4 times a day. Worst times seem to be in the morning and at bedtime. So, he throws up in his bed quite a bit too. He has GERD. He has been tested for gastroenteritis, had done an upper GI, a CT and also endoscopy with normal results.
1399155 tn?1280624978 i was wondering if its normal for a toddler to get blood sugars over 200 and not be a diabetic ? My son is 2 and we have had on 4 separate occations of blood sugar over 200 and one was over 300 , it is starting to concern me. I have heard that only diabetic should go over 200. yes i do wash his hand before testing my mother and a few cousins are diabetic so i have been testing him once and a while. he now is also drinking and peeing alot.
Avatar f tn I gained more with my second... Why ever . lol. Stretch marks stayed the same, except going further up in some places where I had some already. If that makes sense. Don't think I got any new ones. I'm 38+1. I also thought I'd be gaining less since I have a very active toddler..lol. and I've had nausea and vomiting pretty much just as bad as during my first pregnancy. But nope... :) I guess it's always different for anyone.
550943 tn?1330727580 OK - I went out and got a toddler toothbrush with toddler toothpaste - Orajel brand and Cash LOVED it!! I couldn't believe it, bc deep down I had been putting it off bc Cash really doesn't like for me to stick anything in his mouth unless its a spoon! But he loved the feel of the toothbrush on his gums and teeth! He has eight teeth now, so I figured I better get on it!!
Avatar f tn 35 weeks, healthy big baby, but this pregnancy has not been easy. Lost a lot of weight from vomiting in the beginning til 6 months & now I'm swelling. Ready to meet my baby and get back to my normal self!!
Avatar n tn If I were you, I would rush kitty back to the vet. The vomiting of foam sounds like possible heart failure....or something is in her throat she can't get out which could be as simple as a hairball...or something as serious as ingesting something poisonous. I really don't know, but I wouldn't wait for someone else to answer, as it can be slow on Fridays and weekends here, so just go! Good luck and please post an update...
Avatar n tn t mind silver fillings in my molars, and understand that they are more durable given the biting forces exerted on the molars. Does the same hold true for more anterior teeth, or with those teeth do lesser biting forces translate into comparable durability of composite fillings?
Avatar n tn front teeth may not need crowns but molars should always have one. removing the nerve weakens the tooth making it brittle and easier to break or fracture. molars take a lot of pressure and need the added protection of a crown. it has nothing to do with how your tooth feels.
