vomiting

Avatar m tn t do because of extreme claustrophobia, then an ERCP which had undefined as the result, and finally a HIDA scan which showed the results that my gallbladder only had an 11% ejection rate. After the HIDA scan I have not been able to contact the surgeon or gallbladder specialist and my symptoms have continued and some have worsened. When having extreme pain some days it leads to nausea and vomiting to some times foaming at the mouth when vomiting.
Avatar f tn This sounds like anxiety. What other symptoms are you having? Have you seen a Dr about this?
Avatar f tn I believe that the best way to explain it is that I have claustrophobia, going anywhere from tight spaces to having to remain in a single place for too long without being able to get up. It's like the start of a panic from claustrophobia, a restlessness that I usually take as a warning that I'm coming up on my limit and I need to get out of the area or at least move and walk around to remind my brain that I am not trapped.

Avatar f tn Sensory deprivation tanks can cause people to experience visual hallucinations, panic attacks, and trigger claustrophobia so float tanks are not such a good idea, if those issues are already problematic. This is a personal experience from someone with MS and a float tank..... http://kristiesbigadventure.com/tag/sensory-deprivation-tank/ Cheers..........

See if you face the same symptoms or not. If it is due to claustrophobia of being in a car, then you will face the symptoms irrespective of whether you are driving or not. In this case, see if driving with car windows down or in a bigger car helps. Also, if it is due to claustrophobia, your companion will not get similar symptoms.
9258519 tn?1404468525 I suffer from acute claustrophobia, so much so, I have been known to panic when getting dressed/undressed and have to pull an item of clothing over my head. Next Monday I am going for a CT on my heart. I have been told that because its my heart, I can't go into the scan feet first but not to worry because I will have headphones on and I can communicate with the person doing the scan.
Avatar f tn I had decompression on 1-13-15. Prior to surgery, I had no problem getting into the mri but since surgery, I'm extremely claustrophobic. I'm still experience symptoms that I had prior just not as bad. My herniation was 17mm. Years of wrong diagnoses. Has anyone gotten bad claustrophobia since surgery?
Avatar n tn Do you feel short term relief when you take the Xanax? It is not a long lasting benzo, but it does work quite well in the short term in my opinion. Did the doctor tell you to take it just before your CT Scan? You can try breathing exercises and visualization techniques, but I know claustrophobia can really cause a lot of anxiety, but you can take comfort in the fact that they are pretty quick and the are 100% painless....just a super x-ray....keep us posted!
Avatar f tn While riding as a passenger in either the shotgun seat or back seat I experience some weird symptoms? I’m not sure if their symptoms so much as feelings but you get the drift: I can’t wear seat belts, they make me feel restricted, honestly it’s an anxious feeling. When I do wear a seat belt the feeling across my chest and against my neck is constantly on my mind. I just think “I don’t like this, it’s tight, I’m uncomfortable, I can’t breathe” and it truly drives me nuts.
Avatar f tn It could be something to do with the air-conditioning or a feeling of claustrophobia, a bad GI reflux or due to hormonal imbalance as in menopause or hyperthyroidism. At times it can also be due to hypoglycemia if you have not eaten for sometime. If the symptoms repeat, get all the other conditions evaluated. Take care!
1258539 tn?1293840202 I don't know for sure if it would help you or not but... Hot flashes are definitely what most people think of with menopause. However, these other things you have mentioned can also be common symptoms. I had a hysterectomy in 2007 and couldn't take hrt due to a seizure disorder. I took a soy menopause formula from Vitamin World that helped quite a bit. You might want to try that or something similar.
Avatar m tn I have been very scared of contracting HIV or any other STDs ever since some incident occured many years ago. I will like to know if there is actually any risks of contracting HIV or any other STDs via the scenario below. I was at a crowded cafteria having my lunch. The tables were very closely packed such that there are only small gaps between adjacent tables.
Avatar f tn After the first week I noticed my vertigo was returning. By the eleventh day I woke up to find I was much, much worse and I was vomiting. My ENG was out of town but another Dr. in her clinic told me to take meclazine again (my ENG had told me to stop) and call my ENG. The vomiting stopped and the vertigo eased a bit after two days but not back to where I was. I can't get past my ENG's voicemail or receptionist yet and am still waiting for a return message.
Avatar f tn Lol I got it all.

Avatar n tn My son age 21 has had problems with nausea and vomiting, GERD, a large hiatal hernia and IBS since he was a baby all of which exacerbated his Asthma. He also had a congenital heart defect, which was corrected when he was 12. He had stomach surgery when he was 13. The Dr. removed his gallbladder, had a NISSAN and a feeding tube. He was in the hospital for 2 months after his surgery while the Drs were trying to find out why he was vomiting so much.
1205076 tn?1310609559 Thanks. I know I should probably talk to the ped about it, but I don't really like her. I'm stuck w/her though till May when we move. (military) She's going to see a neurologist soon. I have a referral but not an appointment. (Her speech therapist thought she should be evaluated for a muscle coordination problem. She has difficulty w/her tongue muscle movements and is rather clumsy.
Avatar n tn Hello, I am seeing both a Psychologist and a Psychaitrist for a combination of various anxiety and depression symptoms. These include IBS, OCD, decrease sexual desire, claustrophobia etc. The major reason I seeked treatment was that I lost my job about a month ago due to an outburst and bad judgment. The doctors feel that it could be reflective of bi-polar. But I felt that the anxiety and depression symptoms should be treated first. To cut through the chase, he gave 25MG of Topamax.
Avatar f tn At about the 4-5 week mark the w/drawl was so severe I was placed back on the .5 mg dose 4 days ago. Claustrophobia, severe anxiety, depression, panic, tingling in upper chest causing anxiety and diarehhea. The symptoms havent gone away after 4 days and I'm losing hope. I've lost 15 pounds in 2 weeks due to anxiety, nausea and diarehhea. My doctor is telling me that my dose was too low, that I can't be having w/drawl after 2 years of .5 mg. I've NEVER been this ill in my life.
Avatar n tn Take over the counter antacid and antiemetic (this SOS for vomiting). Watch out for a day or two with this treatment. If still the symptoms persist, then you may need an antibiotic for the gut and would need to see a doctor. If after the antibiotic course too the symptoms persist, then there is a chance that you have developed either IBS or some food intolerance. In that case you would need to consult a gastroenterologist. Please go through as advised.
